How Much Does Liquid Rhinoplasty Cost in Thailand in AUD?

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.
Very simple and straightforward

I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands!
Had a rhinoplasty at B care hospital and the care the team provided was amazing. Just wanted to write this to reassure anyone looking into it, as my family were concerned about me heading out to Thailand to have the procedure as a lot of families would be. The hospital and clinic were sparkling clean. The co-ordinator, nurse and doctor were all just lovely and very attentive to my needs. There was no difficulty communicating with the doctor who went through exactly what would be done during the procedure. One thing I was happy about was the 2 nights in hospital - other places I looked at only gave you one night, or even home the same day. Being sleepy after the surgery, I wouldn't have wanted to go back to my accom the same day. I was grateful I had the lovely nurse Mariko looking after me. Also the room at the hospital was lovely - spacious and bright with a nice en suite and all the facilities you would need. I also realised I had tonsillitis on the day I left the hospital (I think I got it before I even had the surgery) and the team were very caring and made sure I had all the medications I needed for that too, before going back to my accommodation. I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands! Bookimed were also really good at keeping in touch and my coordinator Marsela was patient while I took my time to decide if I was going to go ahead with the procedure in the first place, and was always there to answer any questions I had. All very much appreciated!

I'm very impressed with the outcome
I'm very impressed with the outcome. Bookimed assistant was helpful and arrange a virtual consultation with the consultant. While English was not his strong fort, his expertise made up for it. The staff, especially Margi was extremely valuable as she speaks fluently English. Her knowledge and expertise was well appreciated as well as her care and attentiveness. The staff was nice. I did rhinoplasty and liposuction and I'll very impressed with the outcome. Post op care was provided. The nose did not hurt post op in comparison with the liposuction, which was quite uncomfortable. Not painful, numb and tender I suppose. As to the cost, it's fairly competitive.
The expertise
More English speakers would have been nice.

The language needs to be improved for translation. The doctor needs to spend more time with clients explaining the procedures that will happen. The after care is very intermediate. Any issues raised is hard to explain because of the language difference. A staff are wonderful however I’m not sure about the qualifications felt like I was in an abattoir. Still waiting to see surgeon back in home country as cast taken off to soon and nose is out of shape . Rather concerned but I guess you get what you pay for
The staff are wonderful, but again, not sure about the qualification
Language communication with the consultation very poor and only seen us for three minutes. Photo of what I was expecting. Outcome doesn’t look anything like I specified. When raised with the surgeon was told once again with poor English that it was swelling and a nod of head that all is ok..
About Bookimed service
This is very far from what the photos and staff on booking IMED presented. It felt like a very rough area, hygiene had a lot to stand up for western standard , again staff are wonderful but the language barrier is unbearable when you are getting surgery and worries about certain things that just can’t be answered due to language barriers

I was assured of the professionalism of the doctor and staff and this made me felt more confident of the operation success
I always have doubts on surgery in Bangkok for safety and success level of each operation. However, during the whole process, I was assured of the professionalism of the doctor and staff and this made me felt more confident of the operation success.
1. The staff at the clinic were helpful most of the time, especially if you travel alone. They will provide some helpful insights before and after operation. 2. Operation was smooth in a clean and organized clinic.
1. Transport arrangement maybe limited as there is only one driver.

Very very pleased
Everyone (doctors & staff) were incredibly attentive during my rhinoplasty procedure. I felt heard from the minute I had my consult to the minute I left after my final appointment. The staff were always available and my result was exactly what o wanted. Very very pleased
The doctor listened & the staff were extremely approachable and pro active. The facilities were clean, modern and I felt comfortable throughout.
There was nothing I didn’t like but I feel like a slightly better hotel would make the experience nicer although the staff there were lovely and the place was clean.

Thank you for your hospitality
I thought the level of service was exceptional from collecting the patient from the hotel to driving them back was a nice touch. Looking after the patient (me) to see if I was hungry or thirsty was fantastic service. All staff are great and respectful. Thank you for your hospitality.
When the bandages came off and saw my result for the first time.
A little more patience and empathy with the customer to understand stages as it’s an overwhelming experience and life changing process.

FAQ about Liquid Rhinoplasty in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What are the risks and potential complications of having a liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand?

Liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand carries risks like vascular occlusion. This occurs when filler blocks blood flow, leading to tissue death or permanent scarring. Rare but severe complications include vision loss if filler enters the ophthalmic artery. Patients also face risks like filler migration, asymmetry, or infections from unsterile techniques.

  • Vascular occlusion: Blocked arteries can cause skin death on the nasal tip or bridge.
  • Vision impairment: Material entering blood vessels near the eye may cause irreversible blindness.
  • Filler migration: Product can shift over time, leading to a widened or unnatural appearance.
  • Emergency protocols: Serious complications require immediate hyaluronidase injections to dissolve filler within hours.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Safety in Thailand depends on thorough anatomical training. Dr. Karin Kulwacharamongkon at Harmony Life Center has specific certification in complications management. Choosing specialists with these credentials reduces the risk of long-term tissue damage compared to standard salons.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand highlight that while costs are competitive, having emergency dissolving agents on-site is essential. Most recommend verifying that injectors have specific experience in nasal anatomy rather than just general facial fillers.

Can a liquid rhinoplasty procedure in Thailand make my nose smaller?

Liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand cannot physically reduce the size of the nose. This non-surgical procedure involves injecting dermal fillers to add volume. Fillers can camouflage humps or straighten the profile for a more balanced shape. However, surgical rhinoplasty is required for true reduction.

  • Visual camouflage: Fillers smooth dorsal humps, making the nasal bridge appear straighter and more streamlined.
  • Tip refinement: Injections can lift a drooping tip to improve the overall facial profile.
  • Symmetry correction: Specialists use MD Codes or specialised techniques to improve perceived facial balance.
  • Temporary results: Effects last 6–18 months as the body naturally absorbs the dermal filler.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While liquid rhinoplasty costs from Price on request to Price on request in Thailand, patients seeking a smaller nose often choose surgical options. Surgical rhinoplasty starts around Price on request . This offers a permanent solution for tissue reduction that fillers cannot achieve.

Patient Consensus: Many find the procedure excellent for test-driving a new shape before surgery. Patients in Thailand recommend conservative amounts of filler to avoid a bridge that looks too wide.

How long do the aesthetic results of a liquid rhinoplasty performed in Thailand typically last?

Aesthetic results of liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand typically last between 12 and 24 months. Duration depends on the specific dermal filler used and individual metabolism. High-volume JCI-accredited centres in Bangkok often use hyaluronic acid fillers. These provide immediate contouring that remains stable for at least one year.

  • Filler type: Hyaluronic acid fillers used in Thai clinics usually last 12 to 18 months.
  • Technique impact: Professional injection methods like MD Codes help fillers hold their shape longer.
  • Metabolic factors: Individual physiological rates determine how quickly the body absorbs the filler.
  • Maintenance cycle: Touch-up treatments every 12 months help sustain the desired nose shape.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai specialists like Dr Karin Kulwacharamongkon often combine fillers with thread lifting to extend results. Clinics such as Sikarin Hospital and Bumrungrad International Hospital serve thousands of international patients annually. Their experience with diverse nasal structures helps injectors place filler precisely. This often reduces the need for early top-ups.

Patient Consensus: Expect temporary results in Thailand that look natural but fade over 6 to 18 months. Patients suggest checking photos monthly to track changes. It is also wise to confirm follow-up access before returning to Australia.

What types of fillers are typically used for liquid rhinoplasty in reputable clinics in Thailand?

Reputable clinics in Thailand primarily use temporary hyaluronic acid fillers for liquid rhinoplasty for safety and reversibility. Standard choices include Juvederm Voluma and Restylane Lyft. These cohesive gels provide the structural support needed to refine the nasal bridge or tip without surgery.

  • Hyaluronic acid fillers: Temporary gels that specialists can dissolve immediately with hyaluronidase if required.
  • Restylane Lyft: High-stability filler used by surgeons to maintain sharp definition in the nose.
  • Juvederm Voluma: Dense gel preferred for its lifting properties and durability in nasal reshaping.
  • MD Codes training: Specialists at Harmony Life Center use Allergan-standardised injection points for precise results.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many Australian clinics charge around _price_compare_AU_average_, JCI-accredited centres in Bangkok like Bumrungrad International provide these procedures using the same global brands. Our data shows specialised physicians often hold Master’s degrees in aesthetic medicine. They specifically focus on injection anatomy.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend confirming the specific brand name of the hyaluronic acid filler before the procedure. They often note that practitioners prioritise a conservative approach to avoid overfilling the nasal area.

How long does a liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand take and is there significant downtime?

Liquid rhinoplasty in Thailand is a fast procedure usually completed within 15 to 30 minutes. It involves zero downtime. Most patients return to daily activities immediately. Results are instant and typically last between 6 to 18 months depending on the filler used.

  • Procedure time: Injections generally take under 30 minutes following a brief medical consultation.
  • Downtime: Most patients resume normal routines instantly without needing a hospital stay.
  • Common side effects: Minor bruising or swelling may occur but usually subsides within days.
  • Specialised techniques: Specialists like Dr Karin Kulwacharamongkon use MD Codes for precise facial contouring.
  • Accredited facilities: JCI-accredited centres such as Sikarin Hospital provide high safety standards for injections.

Bookimed Expert Insight: This is often called a lunchtime procedure. However, booking on a Friday is ideal for international patients. Clinics like Sikarin Hospital treat many Australians. Allowing 48 hours before flying home lets minor swelling settle. This also provides time for a quick follow-up to check filler placement.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that while the injection is quick, numbing and aftercare take longer. Most resume light activity immediately. They suggest avoiding heavy exercise or glasses for several days. Planning social events a few days later ensures any redness has vanished.

Does the hot, humid climate in Thailand affect the results of a liquid rhinoplasty?

Thailand's hot and humid climate can temporarily increase swelling and bruising after liquid rhinoplasty. However, it does not alter the final aesthetic result. High temperatures cause blood vessels to expand. This may heighten early inflammation without impacting the structural integrity of the hyaluronic acid filler.

  • Swelling management: Heat causes vasodilation, making initial swelling more visible in the first 48 hours.
  • Filler longevity: Intense heat may slightly accelerate filler breakdown if patients frequent saunas or steam rooms.
  • UV protection: Direct sun exposure after injections can lead to inflammation or minor pigmentation issues.
  • Recovery environments: Most JCI-accredited clinics in Bangkok recommend staying in air-conditioned spaces initially to settle.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While heat is a factor, injector technique determines the final look. Specialists like Dr Karin Kulwacharamongkon use MD Codes and the AMI 7/9-Point Shape approach. These precise methods help filler placement remain stable despite Thailand's tropical humidity and typical early swelling.

Patient Consensus: Humidity and heat mainly affect comfort and early swelling rather than the final shape. Patients found that tenderness is more noticeable initially. They suggest staying in-country for a few days to let the filler settle before flying back to Australia.
