The staff were fantastic and supportive through every step
I am noticing some subtle changes to my contour, which is encouraging. The staff were fantastic and supportive through every step. The surgeon was professional, though I had minor reservations. My main issue was with the clinic on the surgery side itself; the facilities felt a bit outdated and could use an upgrade. For that reason, my recommendation score is a 7. The people are wonderful, but the physical clinic has room for improvement.

But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️
Ice was one of the nurses who collected me from the airport. She was so kind for waiting nearly two hours for me due to a delay I had. She helped me so much after my surgery too. Another nurse Marge was wonderful. She helped with translation and my aftercare, she was so gentle when helping take out my stitches. I thank all of the nursing staff, they were all wonderful in their own way and treated me very well. I wish I could have spoken with the doctor more, he always seemed in a rush, I know he is a very busy man but if he could slow down just a bit it would help the patient care factor improve. But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️ I only took two pictures of the inside of my overnight room, the clinic was very clean and comfortable and beautiful 🙏
The staff and nurses were exceptional!
Not enough conversation with the doctor, he seemed in a hurry

The surgery is performed at the clinic not at a hospital which concerned me (were they prepared if something went wrong), the rooms opened up to the front desk where people would come for appointments and the toilet was across reception. I felt I didn't have much privacy and was very exposed. Nurses would not always come especially at night when I needed assistance to the toilet. I would be waiting at my hotel for a car and they would have forgotten to send one so the organisation level was not very good. It wasn't a very friendly/caring environment i felt. The communication was very poor too, there was one lady there that spoke English and she never smiled it just didnt feel good. I spoke to the doctor very briefly on surgery day and then he never spoke to me again. I wouldnt go back, ive had surgery in Thailand before and had a far better experience.
The nurses who cleaned my bandages and helped with my compression garments were lovely.
Room quality, upfront about procedures being done in a small operating room at a small clinic not hospital (was about 10 steps from reception), assistance and attentiveness (I didnt get fed after surgery i had to ask for food and they gave me boiled rice, then they also forgot about my breakfast), needs massive improvement in communication and organisation. More support and care. Doctor follow up post surgery should be done.
About Bookimed service
My experience with Bookimed prior to surgery was okay but I was really disappointed with the clinic having had it recommended by Bookimed. There should have been alot I should have been told about prior regarding the clinic and I voiced what was happening but I dont think much will be done about it but I just hope noone else has a similar experience as mine.

Very thorough and attentive medical staff
Very thorough and attentive medical staff. Vip like attention to detail and care. I was apprehensive if this was the right clinic for lipo as most of their services centred around aesthetics fillers and botox and those stuff. Had lipo on my abs and flanks, and I can already see the results after 10 days. Dr Aim really knows what she’s doing. Their BISP clinic is really comfy, they should prob move major procedures there in the future as it’s bigger than the Big C one. Thank you Siam Clinic.
VIP level attention to care and concerns
Maybe just a little cramped clinic at Big C. But just a minor gripe.

Overall, I happy with my liposuction and tummy tuck procedure
My surgeon was excellent however, when I asked about the risks, he didn’t reply. The medical staff/nurses were excellent, however, there was only 1 nurse who spoke English well but she was unavailable for 2 of my medical appointments (not her fault, she was in the OR). As a result, I had to rely on the translator for information. She often didn’t ask other nurses for information, so I felt I wasn’t getting specific medical information related to my recovery but rather general information. In my opinion, this shouldn’t happen and is a shortcoming of the clinic which can easily be rectified through feedback. My other observation is the cost of the procedure changed three times. Bookimed stated “The average cost of Liposuction in Thailand ranges from $2,177 to $6,444.” No currency was listed, I found out from Adam on WhatsApp the currency was THB. That would indicate that bookimed low-balled the cost considerably. Your personal medical coordinator is Dr. Marsela Canameti. The treatment price ranges from $2,000 to $3,500 USD, depending on the specifics of your case. Program description: The patient is good candidate to the Vaser liposuction and tummy tuck surgery . This procedure cost 4500 USD. The day of my surgery, when I was asked to pay, I was told that if I used a credit card, I would have to pay a 3% surcharge. That should have been mentioned on the day of my consultation. The day before, when I paid the $500 USD deposit with my credit card, they didn’t mention a surcharge. I made the maximum payment on my debit card, then they charged my credit card twice and said they didn’t charge me the extra 3%. Overall, I happy with my liposuction and tummy tuck procedure, continue to recover and need to wait 1-2 or months to be fully recovered and see the final result. I would recommend the ID clinic.
The care and empathy demonstrated by the nurses after my procedure

About Bookimed service
Bookimed was often behind/not keeping up with the progress of my case. In the bookimed chat they told me I had to pay $200 for my appointment. I asked why or how to pay but didn’t get an answer. Seems your medical coordinator is currently not in the workplace. Your message is delivered, and they will respond to you as soon as they are back! Your patience is appreciated, In WhatsApp, I was asked if I needed the clinic address. My consultation appointment was at 11am, so by the time I was asked this was 3 hours too late, I already had my consultation and was already at a hospital getting my medical tests. My other observation is the cost of the procedure changed three times. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend
I am happy with the expertise provided by the doctor. He understood and have my needs by explaining his technique in tummy tuck and liposuction and compared other techniques he has used before. Shout out to Ice and Marj who went above and beyond to put me at ease with my procedures. The hotel inclusive of the package was a great touch in being closer to the doctor for pain relief and further enquiries. The doctor structured procedures in different days to ensure that the body can heal between procedures. I will be happy with the result once scarring and swelling have subsided. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend.
That doctor has been in practice for long and knew the best technique to use.
The lack in providing a clear structure of what to expect post healing of which a checklist can be provided to the patient abd provide assurance and further understanding.
About Bookimed service
Bookimed response time was efficient and they communicated to the clinics which they had referred me to about my concerns and pricing. They provided me with 5% off and $100US from procedures from referals that I gave. A middle person is required to advocate for me during tough healing situations.

The overall experience was one of the most pleasant I've ever had
The team is very caring, and loving. They took care of me as they would of a family member, not just a patient at the clinic. The overall experience was one of the most pleasant I've ever had.

FAQ about Radiofrequency for Skin in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is it safe for Australians to get radiofrequency skin tightening treatments in Thailand?

Radiofrequency skin tightening in Thailand is safe for Australians when done at reputable clinics like NAVAMIN9 Hospital. It is a non-surgical procedure with possible swelling for up to a week. It requires careful device setting adjustments to avoid complications like facial fat loss.

  • Clinic accreditation: NAVAMIN9 Hospital holds Joint Commission International (JCI) certification.
  • Practitioner skill: Experienced doctors adjust needle depth and energy per patient’s skin.
  • Recovery effects: Swelling and numbness may last a week, but this is normal.
  • Risks: Incorrect device use can cause permanent fat loss or disfigurement.
  • Booking tip: Avoid spas offering cheap deals; choose specialised skin treatment centres.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics like NAVAMIN9 see over 500,000 patients yearly, showing a deep well of experience that lowers risks. Australian patients benefit from JCI accreditation and doctors using personalised treatment settings, which cuts down common RF complications notably.

Patient Consensus: Australians report thorough prep and tailored treatments in Thailand. Swelling lasts about a week but fades. Many appreciate clear advice on device types and avoid discounted spa offers for safer outcomes.

What are the common radiofrequency skin tightening treatments available in Thailand for Australians?

Common radiofrequency skin tightening treatments in Thailand include Thermage, fractional RF, microneedling with RF, and EndyMed 3DEEP RF. These methods heat the dermal layer to boost collagen production, tighten skin, and improve firmness with minimal downtime. Clinics such as NAVAMIN9 Hospital in Bangkok offer JCI-accredited care.

  • Thermage: uses focused RF energy to tighten face and body skin.
  • Fractional RF: treats skin laxity for long-lasting collagen stimulation.
  • Microneedling with RF: combines needles and RF to improve skin texture.
  • EndyMed 3DEEP RF: targets deep skin layers for enhanced firmness.
  • Dermal heating: typically 40°C–45°C to contract and renew collagen.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), like NAVAMIN9 Hospital, offer safety and quality comparable to Australia’s standards. Most RF treatments require 3–6 sessions, so it’s smart for Australians to confirm device models and session plans upfront for best results.

Patient Consensus: Australians appreciate Thailand’s skilled doctors and safe, modern clinics. Many note clarity about the RF devices used and recommend confirming treatment details before booking.

How many radiofrequency skin tightening sessions will Australians usually need in Thailand to see results?

Australians usually need 3 to 5 radiofrequency skin tightening sessions in Thailand to see noticeable results. Treatments produce gradual improvement, with most visible changes appearing 3 to 6 months after the last session due to collagen remodelling. Multiple sessions are essential for lasting tightening.

  • Session count: typically 3 to 5 sessions spaced over weeks or months.
  • Result timing: visible improvements occur between 3 and 6 months post-treatment.
  • Treatment type: includes Thermage, Oligio, and 4D Fotona laser options.
  • Safety tip: quality clinics use authentic RF devices to avoid adverse effects.
  • Comfort levels: some devices cause mild discomfort; others like 4D Fotona are nearly painless.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most Bangkok clinics recommend several sessions, not one-off treatments. Clinics with top ratings and JCI accreditation, like Department of Skin & Surgery - NAVAMIN9 Hospital, offer advanced RF technologies giving Australians a reliable path to lasting skin tightening. Checking device make and session protocol can prevent issues like fat loss or facial hollowing.

Patient Consensus: Australians report clear, lasting skin tightening after 3–5 sessions in Thailand. They note improvements build slowly over months, with minimal discomfort. Choosing experienced clinics helped them feel safe and confident about results.

Is there any downtime after radiofrequency skin treatments in Thailand?

Radiofrequency skin treatments in Thailand generally have minimal to no downtime, especially standard non-invasive types like Fotona 4D and XERF. Patients usually resume daily activities immediately, with only mild warmth or redness. More invasive options like RF microneedling require about one week of recovery, and internal Endolift RF needs 1–2 weeks.

  • Non-invasive RF downtime: immediate return to normal activities with mild redness.
  • RF microneedling downtime: about 1 week for redness and healing.
  • Endolift internal RF downtime: 1–2 weeks due to swelling and numbness.
  • Fotona 4D and XERF devices result in minimal side effects and quick recovery.
  • Caution advised to select experienced providers to avoid fat loss risks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most clinics in Bangkok, like NAVAMIN9 Hospital, offer non-invasive RF with zero downtime. A key tip: non-invasive RF suits those needing fast recovery, while RF microneedling and Endolift need planned breaks. Australians should double-check downtime claims on microneedling or internal RF to avoid surprises.

Patient Consensus: Patients appreciate standard RF in Thailand for no downtime and quick return to work. They note microneedling requires a week off, while internal procedures need more rest. The mild redness or warmth is common but short-lived, making Thailand a practical choice for skin treatments.

Does radiofrequency skin tightening treatment in Thailand hurt for Australian patients?

Radiofrequency skin tightening in Thailand commonly feels like warmth or gentle pinching, not sharp pain. Clinics use topical numbing cream to keep discomfort low. Sensitivity varies by area and device, with deeper treatments causing more sensation. Post-treatment heat and soreness usually subside within a week.

  • Topical anaesthesia: numbing cream reduces pain to mild (1–2 out of 10).
  • Sensation type: typically warm, pinching, or pricking, not severe pain.
  • Pain varies: deeper or bony areas may feel more intense.
  • Post-treatment: heat, swelling, and tingling last hours to a day, soreness up to 7 days.
  • Device choice: pure RF less painful than ultrasound-based, e.g., Ultherapy.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Thai clinics like Department of Skin & Surgery at Navamin9 Hospital apply numbing cream for 40+ minutes, cutting patient discomfort noticeably. Avoiding treatment on bony spots helps Australians manage sensitivity. Testing a pulse before full treatment is standard to adjust intensity.

Patient Consensus: Australians find RF treatments in Thailand comfortable, feeling mild warmth rather than pain. Using numbing cream made a big difference, and post-care advice helped ease swelling and soreness effectively. The experience suits those cautious about pain but seeking visible skin tightening.

Where can Australians find top radiofrequency skin treatment clinics in Thailand?

Top radiofrequency skin treatment clinics for Australians are in Bangkok, Thailand. The Department of Skin & Surgery at NAVAMIN9 Hospital is JCI-accredited and serves thousands daily. Many clinics offer FDA-approved devices and English-speaking staff, providing safe, effective skin tightening treatments like Thermage and Ultherapy.

  • Bangkok concentration: Most top clinics, such as NAVAMIN9 Hospital, are in the capital city.
  • JCI accreditation: NAVAMIN9 Hospital meets global patient safety and quality standards.
  • Staff expertise: Clinics tend to have licensed dermatologists and English-speaking teams.
  • Technology check: Confirm use of trusted RF devices like Thermage or AccuTite.
  • Follow-up care: Ask clinics about post-treatment support and communication options.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok’s leading clinics, including NAVAMIN9 Hospital, handle large patient volumes with multidisciplinary teams. This volume and accreditation mean more reliable service for Australians seeking RF skin treatments. Coordinators recommend comparing clinics in Sukhumvit or Thong Lor for convenient travel and English support.

Patient Consensus: Australians highlight the clear communication and reliable care at Thai clinics. Many praise easy access to licensed dermatologists and effective treatment results in Bangkok. Patients also advise verifying technology and checking follow-up services before booking.

What skin concerns can radiofrequency treatments address for Australians visiting Thailand?

Radiofrequency treatments in Thailand address skin laxity, fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, and pore size for Australians. Techniques like Thermage and RF microneedling boost collagen, tighten skin, and smooth sun-damaged areas. Treatments suit face, neck, and body contours for firmer, smoother skin.

  • Skin laxity: RF tightens loose skin on face, jawline, and neck for a firmer look.
  • Acne scars: RF microneedling breaks down scar tissue and stimulates collagen remodelling.
  • Sun damage and texture: Treatments improve uneven tone and reduce rough patches.
  • Enlarged pores: RF reduces pore size but deep damage from lasers needs care.
  • Under-eye and body: Thermage addresses facial tightening; body contouring targets loose skin and cellulite.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Thai clinics offer both Thermage and RF microneedling, providing tailored options for different skin issues. Providers adjust microneedle depth carefully to avoid facial fat loss—a risk often overlooked but crucial for good results. Packages in Thailand usually cost 75–80% less than Australia, making it a smart choice.

Patient Consensus: Australians note skin feels noticeably tighter and smoother after RF in Thailand. Many appreciate the visible reduction in acne scars and pore size. The decent pricing and skilled specialists make it a popular trip for skin renewal.
