Most South Korean packages include the core treatment sessions and clinical consultations.

  • Thermage: AUD $2,924 to AUD $3,342 for radiofrequency-based skin tightening.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Park and the entire team! From start to finish, everyone—especially Joanne—was incredibly accommodating and attentive, which made me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Park did an incredible job on my breast augmentation. Remarkably, after just one day of recovery, I was able to walk around Seoul, use public transport, and see all the sights I wanted to visit. Although it was slightly uncomfortable at times, I never experienced significant pain beyond the first few hours after waking from anesthesia. I truly believe this speaks to Dr. Park’s precision—and maybe a little to my own fast healing! The clinic goes above and beyond for their patients. I received IV therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all of which made me feel well supported throughout recovery. Dr. Park and the team checked in consistently, which is such a green flag—so different from many experiences in the U.S., where doctors often focus solely on the surgery itself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Park for anyone seeking attentive, professional care and excellent results.

That gave me a lot of confidence
I really appreciated the time my doctor took during the consultation for my forehead and frown lines. He was so thorough, explaining exactly where and why he would inject, and was very honest about what realistic results would look like after showing me photos of previous patients. That gave me a lot of confidence. Now in my early recovery, I'm feeling better than expected. It was a good process. The final price was exactly what I was quoted, with no additional expenses. My only note is that there was little contact from the clinic after my appointment, but overall the service was solid.
I’ve love how medical coordinator took care of everything !

If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation. The process from start to finish was handled with such professionalism. I am still in the early stages of healing, so I am following all the aftercare instructions carefully. The surgeon was thorough, and the entire staff made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for throughout my visit. The facility was also very clean and modern. I am thankful for the support I received from the whole team.

FAQ about Collagen Lifting in Republic of Korea

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How effective are PDO thread lifts for treating face sagging during collagen lifting in South Korea?

PDO thread lifts effectively treat mild to moderate face sagging in South Korea. They reposition tissue and stimulate collagen. Surgeons use absorbable polydioxanone threads to lift the jawline and cheeks. This provides an immediate 20–30% improvement while boosting long-term skin elasticity for 12–18 months.

  • Dual action: Threads mechanically lift skin immediately while inducing natural collagen production over 6 months.
  • Target areas: Highly effective for redefining jawlines, lifting jowls, and softening deep nasolabial folds.
  • Materials: Korean clinics use 360-degree barbed threads like MINT for superior tissue anchoring.
  • Combined therapies: Specialists often pair threads with Ultherapy or Thermage to lock in lifting results.
  • Expert volume: Leading specialists like Dr Yeom Jihye have performed over 14,000+ aesthetic procedures.

Bookimed Expert Insight: PDO threads offer a subtle lift. However, Korean dermatologists frequently recommend Juvelook or Inmode alongside threads. Data from clinics like Glassy Skin suggests this combination is effective. It addresses both structural sagging and surface texture. This approach creates a more durable result than threads alone by densifying the dermal layer.

Patient Consensus: Patients in South Korea report an immediate, cleaner jawline and tighter smile lines. This is especially true with cog-type threads. The experience often includes temporary bruising or tightness. However, many choose it as a quick refresh before major events.

How long do results from a collagen lifting procedure in South Korea last?

Collagen lifting results in South Korea generally last between 6 and 18 months. Longevity depends on the specific technique. High-intensity focused ultrasound treatments like Ultherapy typically reach the 18-month mark. Most patients see peak firmness around 3 months after the procedure as new collagen matures.

  • Ultherapy results: These deep ultrasound treatments typically maintain skin tightening for 12–18 months.
  • Thermage longevity: Radiofrequency sessions like Thermage FLX often provide visible results for 12 months.
  • Juvelook injections: Stimulatory injections usually last 12–18 months, often requiring 3 initial sessions.
  • Thread lifting: Traditional thread lifts provide immediate mechanical lifting that lasts 6–12 months.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows a clear trend where clinics like Glassy Skin Clinic bundle 3 sessions of Juvelook or Inmode. This cumulative approach means collagen builds in layers. This often extends the visible tightening effect beyond the standard 6-month mark seen with single-session treatments.

Patient Consensus: Expect temporary rather than permanent results in Seoul. The most impressive firmness appears 2–3 months after treatment. Many find that the glow is immediate. Maintenance top-ups every 12 months are essential to keep the glass-skin effect.

What is the difference between collagen lifting and traditional facelifts in South Korea?

The main difference lies in technique and longevity. Collagen lifting in South Korea uses non-surgical methods to stimulate tissue repair. These methods include ultrasound, radiofrequency, or threads. Traditional facelifts involve surgical incisions to physically reposition muscle and remove skin. This offers more dramatic, permanent structural changes.

  • Treatment mechanism: Collagen lifting stimulates natural protein production; facelifts surgically tighten the SMAS muscle layer.
  • Longevity: Non-surgical results typically last 1–2 years; surgical facelifts provide correction for 10+ years.
  • Downtime: Collagen lifting requires zero to 7 days; surgery involves several weeks for swelling reduction.
  • Cost efficiency: Procedures start from $800, saving up to 69% over Australian surgical averages.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Australian patients seek traditional surgery. However, Korean specialists like Dr Yeom Jihye at Forena Clinic often achieve comparable tightening. They combine Ultherapy Prime with Thermage FLX. This dual-layer approach targets both deep lifting and surface texture. It avoids the scarring risks of invasive theatre procedures.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Seoul describe collagen lifting as providing natural firmness and cleaner jawlines. It provides a natural look, not a dramatic transformation. Bruising and stiffness can last a week. However, the trade-off is avoiding surgical downtime and maintaining a subtle, refreshed look.

What is collagen lifting, and how does it work in South Korea?

Collagen lifting in South Korea involves non-surgical treatments that use heat energy to trigger natural skin remodelling. Clinics use ultrasound, radiofrequency, or injectables like Juvelook to stimulate dermal fibroblasts. This process creates a firmer, more youthful appearance with results appearing gradually over 2 to 3 months.

  • Technologies: Clinics use Ultherapy, Thermage, and Titanium lifting to target deep skin layers.
  • Collagen stimulators: Injectables like Juvelook act as scaffolds to encourage natural protein production.
  • Minimal downtime: Most procedures allow an immediate return to daily activities after treatment.
  • Treatment duration: Some sessions, like Liftera, take only 10 minutes per session.
  • Maintenance cycle: Patients typically require repeat sessions every 10–18 months to maintain results.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many clinics offer collagen lifting, the specific device used changes the experience. Data shows high-volume centres like Forena Clinic use FDA-approved Ultherapy Prime and Thermage FLX. These devices often provide longer-lasting results – up to 12 months – compared to milder HIFU options.

Patient Consensus: South Korea offers a refined, natural look that subtly snatches the jawline without looking overfilled. Patients appreciate the shot-count pricing system for full-face treatments and the painless experience with numbing cream.

Which are the top clinics for collagen lifting in Seoul, South Korea?

South Korea remains the global leader for collagen lifting, with top Seoul clinics in Gangnam and Cheongdam that specialise in non-surgical tightening. Leading centres like Forena Clinic, Oracle Clinic Cheongdam, and Glassy Skin Clinic use premium technologies like Ultherapy Prime and Thermage FLX to stimulate natural skin rejuvenation.

  • Forena Clinic: Features VVIP suites and uses FDA-approved Ultherapy Prime for lifting.
  • Oracle Clinic Cheongdam: Serves 25,000+ patients annually with KALDAT-accredited specialists performing HIFU treatments.
  • Glassy Skin Clinic: Led by Dr Judy, who specialises in Juvelook collagen-stimulating injections and InMode lifting.
  • Lalian Cheongdam Clinic: Uses 3D MetaView analysis for precise Ultherapy and Thermage treatment planning.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many clinics offer Ultherapy, the most experienced practitioners can be identified by their official master certifications. For example, Dr Sang Youl Yun and Dr Jang Hansol have both completed the Thermage TTT Master courses. This means they use the precise energy settings needed to stimulate collagen without causing volume loss.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Seoul frequently highlight the benefit of 1:1 doctor consultations and personal computer analysis at clinics like Cheongdam Smin and MiNMi. They often report firmer skin and natural glows within weeks after quick procedures with minimal downtime.

How can I boost my collagen levels before a collagen lifting treatment in South Korea?

Preparing for collagen lifting in South Korea involves boosting skin health 2–4 weeks beforehand. Using Vitamin C serums and peptide creams supports natural synthesis. Internal hydration and avoiding blood thinners like aspirin for 48 hours reduce bruising. Effective prep helps the skin respond better to lifting energy.

  • Topical Vitamin C: Applying daily provides essential nutrients for new collagen building.
  • Retinoid pause: Stopping active retinols 5 days before theatre helps prevent irritation.
  • Oral peptides: Taking collagen supplements daily improves skin elasticity and hydration.
  • Antioxidant intake: Eating citrus and leafy greens protects existing collagen from damage.
  • Hydration focus: Drinking extra water before arrival supports cellular skin repair.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Leading Seoul clinics often suggest scheduling treatments 2 days after landing. This allows the body to recover from long-haul flight dehydration and swelling. Better-hydrated skin typically shows more immediate results from heat-based collagen lifting technologies.

Patient Consensus: Patients in South Korea found that starting Vitamin C serums early made skin look brighter. Many appreciated how clinics provided detailed prep guides that reduced post-procedure redness and swelling.
