How Much Does Leukemia chemotherapy Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Leukemia chemotherapy in Turkey typically costs from AUD $11,502 to AUD $23,005. Final pricing depends on the specific leukemia type, drug protocols, and required hospitalisation days. Australians save approximately 82% compared to domestic private costs, where treatment averages AUD $96,764. Standard inclusions often feature specialist consultations, chemotherapy administration, stay in a private room, and essential laboratory diagnostics.

  • Targeted drug therapies: often add 20–30% to base costs depending on the specific medication regimen.
  • Bone marrow biopsy: usually costs significantly less than in Australia, providing essential diagnostic data for treatment.
  • Specialist consultations: typically include reviews by hematologists and oncologists to manage complex protocols effectively.
  • Inpatient care: contributes to the total as intensive monitoring is often required during initial treatment cycles.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing centres with international affiliations provides exceptional value for Australian patients. Anadolu Medical Center, for example, is an official partner of Johns Hopkins Medicine International. This ensures access to global treatment standards at Turkish price points. Specialist Zafer Gulbas has performed 1,500+ bone marrow transplants, offering level of expertise that justifies the investment in multi-specialty hospital care.

Overall, we were very happy with the care my father received
My father’s medical experience with Memorial Şişli was great. Everything was well-organized, and we felt supported throughout the entire process. The doctor was professional, knowledgeable, and patient in explaining every detail, which reassured us that my father was in good hands. I was also really impressed by how quickly everything was arranged. There were no unnecessary delays, and the entire medical service was coordinated seamlessly. Our online medical coordinator was always available whenever we had questions, making the whole process much easier. Having a interpreter readily available was a huge help as well—they were efficient and made communication effortless. The hospital was spotless, and cleanliness was clearly a top priority, which gave us even more peace of mind. Overall, we were very happy with the care my father received. The professionalism and efficiency of the entire team made a real difference, and I would highly recommend the hospital to anyone seeking quality medical care abroad.

The examination was successful, the results pleased me
In July 2022, I underwent an examination at the Anadolu clinic. The examination was conducted by Dr. Zafer Gulbash. Everything went very professionally, at a high level. It can be seen that the specialist is highly professional and competent. I would also like to note the high level of service of Bookimed employee Anna Khomenko. Very friendly, competent staff. I also wanted to express my gratitude to the staff of the clinic Anadol Osman Shahin, Zahida, Khalida and others, whose names I unfortunately did not remember.

SPECIAL THANKS TO BUKIMEDA COORDINATOR PAVL
I went to the Liv Istinier clinic for treatment. The treatment was planned for a month. It was provided with an examination and recommendations for treatment at home. In general, the trip went well, thanks to the coordinators Dilvar, Tuba, Niyaz. SPECIAL THANKS TO BUKIMEDA COORDINATOR PAVL. Before the trip, I read a lot of reviews, what problems there might be. I also had them, but Pavel was always in touch, and it was all solved in 5-10 minutes, without exaggeration. In 3-4 months, if everything is normal, I will go to the clinic for control.

Logistics (hotel accommodation, transfer), translator on top
The clinic is modern, the staff is attentive, competent, highly qualified. The approach to the organization of diagnosis and treatment professional. Everything went according to schedule. The language barrier was not felt. I was somewhat surprised by the lack of sanepid mode, in my opinion. Logistics (hotel accommodation, transfer), translator on top. Great site, great service. Kind, competent, attentive and caring attitude of employees. You do not feel useless and lonely.

We are all happy
At the moment, I am undergoing chemotherapy at the Medipol clinic. The clinic is very good, the doctors are attentive and friendly. Constant support of a translator helps a lot. Found this clinic with the help of booked, they very quickly organized a flight and a visit to the doctor. Accommodation for the entire period of treatment was provided by the clinic for free, as well as three meals a day. We are all happy.

Doctors seemed professional
Doctors seemed professional. Low quality translation from Turkish to Russian and vice versa. For some reason, after PET KT (perhaps a coincidence), upon returning home, it was sharply worse. We had to urgently operate, although Turkish oncologists did not see the need for an operation, but offered to wait a month.
