Oncology Center
Treatment of cancer is based on international protocols according to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) in the USA and European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), leading cancer organizations for medical oncology worldwide.
Oncologists, radiologists, chemotherapists, and doctors of others specialties (cardiologists, orthopedists, urologists etc.) discuss difficult cases on consilium. Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach, specialists can establish a developed treatment plan to avoid medical errors.
Treatment methods at the Oncology Center:
- Chemotherapy. The chemo drugs are aimed to stop cancer cells growth. The hospital doctors select chemotherapeutic drugs individually for every patient.
- Targeted therapy. It’s a treatment with antibodies that target malignant cells saving healthy ones. Side effects are rare in comparison to standard chemotherapy.

General Surgery Department

They helped me here in just one visit
My main concern was that the treatment would not yield real results. However, I had been struggling with my issue for many years, and they helped me here in just one visit. This is true. The entire process was organized very efficiently, and both the surgeon and the entire clinic staff demonstrated high professionalism. I am currently in the early stages of recovery, and there are already positive changes. When asked what could be improved, I couldn't think of anything because everything was perfect. I have no complaints about the clinic or the quality of medical services.

My biggest concern was choosing the right surgeon, but this turned out to be completely unfounded. I felt very well looked after right from the first point of contact. The doctor took plenty of time for the consultation, and the whole team at the clinic were professional and very caring, which made the whole process very straightforward for me. Everything went smoothly. Although my recovery is still ongoing, I am extremely satisfied with the care and organisation so far. My biggest worry was that the doctor wouldn’t have time to listen to me and really understand my problem, especially in an unfamiliar setting. That didn’t happen. The clinic itself has clearly state-of-the-art equipment. The only slight downside was that the waiting time for the appointment turned out to be a bit long. My biggest worry was that getting tested abroad would be a complicated and drawn-out process. In reality, however, it was a very quick and efficient procedure. No pain at all. I was pleasantly surprised to receive my results on the very same day, which meant I didn’t have to change my plans. The clinic staff were very attentive, and the Bookimed coordinator really helped with all the organisational matters. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the consultation with the doctor. I felt he could have spent a little more time explaining the results. Otherwise, the service was excellent.
