If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator.
The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised
My main worry going into this was the recovery pain, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It’s not that painful! Of course, there's discomfort, but it was far more manageable than I anticipated, especially while having a 6 month old baby to care for. The biggest challenge for me has honestly just been sleeping upright. I’m still in the early stages of healing, but my incisions looked good when the initial bandages were removed at the clinic, my nipple position has definitely been improved. The surgeon and the clinic staff were very professional and attentive throughout the entire process, providing clear instructions and support. All staff that I came into contact with were polite and caring.
I really liked how organised everything was. The schedule was clearly explained and followed well throughout, so I didn’t have to worry or feel stressed. The surgeon was very kind and even joked with me before the operation, which helped me feel more relaxed. I was also able to bring my family, including my young son, and both the hotel and hospital accommodated us really well.
Any questions I had were answered really well. However, after surgery it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming taking in all the information, so an aftercare information sheet, including guidance on dressing removal and recovery advice would be really helpful.

What worried me most was the recovery process itself. Technically, I knew what to expect, but the day-to-day healing process was a mystery. It has been 15 days since my anchor incision surgery. At the moment, the most challenging aspect has been the uneven swelling – it’s a bit disorienting and makes it hard to gauge the final result, so you need to be prepared for that. My nipples are also still settling back to normal, which is to be expected at this stage. Despite these temporary difficulties, the support from the surgeon and the entire staff has been tangible. Everyone at the clinic has proved themselves to be true professionals. It’s a process. I’m simply focusing on healing.
I’d like to leave a review of Istanbul Esthetic Center in Turkey.
The interpreter, Varvara, was simply amazing — very attentive, always available, and genuinely helpful with any queries. Even after I returned home, she continued to respond and offer support.
A special thank you to Dr Ergir Er — a brilliant surgeon and a very pleasant person, who was easy and relaxed to talk to, without any unnecessary stress or tension.
I am currently in the recovery phase following breast surgery, but I am already pleased with the result. We’ll see, of course, how things progress and what the final result looks like.
The organisation of my stay was also top-notch. A transfer was arranged, and at the clinic the nurses and staff kept a constant eye on me — practically round the clock. While I was at the clinic, I was well looked after; they always helped when needed, took my blood pressure and monitored my condition.
The food at the clinic was excellent. I was able to move about freely, walk the corridors, and always felt supported by the staff.
Overall, my impressions are very good. Istanbul Esthetic Centre left a strong positive impression — I can recommend it.

While I am still on the rehabilitation period at home, tomorrow is a week after the operation and check-up with the doctor. I had liposuction of the abdomen and sides + Brazilian buttocks lift + breast lift, all in one day. The first 3-4 days of rehabilitation are the hardest, but then much easier, the staff / help / service at the highest level, doctor Ergin Er - a doctor from God, I advise everyone, a professional of his work!!!!. Hello. The operation was performed at the Estetik International clinic. The clinic looks expensive. Everything in it is beautiful, expensive, rich, an excellent ward, and so on. But. A lot but. I'll start. Bukemed organized everything quickly. They are great. Only I clarified a couple of times when to take tickets back home. They said on the 14th. And the operation was on the 10th. Analyzes on the 8th. 9 clinic day off. Arriving at the clinic, the translator Ozan, the translator, tells me that she should fly 17-18 back. Since the days are counted from the moment of the operation. That is, I was not correctly informed in bookimed. OK. I left earlier. The doctor said everything is healing. The clinic itself and its attitude towards me. I had a lift and an increase. The operation was carried out on the 10th at about 15.00. On the 11th at 14.00 I was told that I had an hour to get ready and the transfer would take me to the hotel. I begged to leave me for a day or at least until the morning in the clinic. Since it was terribly hard for me, everything hurt a lot. I couldn't get up, get dressed, etc. I felt dizzy and my blood pressure dropped. But I was told 250€ a day at the clinic or go to the hotel. I went to the hotel. I had drainage. It needs to be cleaned. I was told to do it myself. Once a translator came for me. Since I refused to do it myself because I could just faint from all this. The next day, a friend helped me to do this, and then they removed the drainage and sent me home the next day. And here the most interesting begins. Manager Katerina or coordinator. I don't know her position correctly. I'll attach a screen recording showing the dialog. Transfer to the airport is included in the price of all this. I started talking about the transfer in the evening before the day of departure. Then in the morning. Then I was told to expect a transfer. Then they said that it was broken or something else and that I would call a taxi myself. I couldn't do it because I couldn't pay. The card already had a limit on funds. There is such a law in Ukraine. 100.000 UAH per month I can spend abroad. For a very long time I was hung up with a taxi. The plane is in a couple of hours. A child is waiting at home. I'm on my nerves. Due to the lack of specifics and information, at the end of all this, I just lost my temper and could not find other words except mats and tears. In the end, they called me a taxi. I'm going. With full confidence that he was paid. The taxi driver shows the amount. And I understand that it is not paid. I had to ask for a card from their parents. Attach it to your phone and pay. Next, I go to the airport. I understand that I won't be able to. The clinic helped only in the fact that they checked me in for the flight. When they realized that I could really be late, and then they would have to resolve the issue with tickets and the hotel at their own expense, since it was all their fault. There are 100+ people in line at passport control. I understand I can't. Spit in an hour exactly. The gate has already been opened. And I decide to try. While my anchor incision procedure did result in a good lift, the overall experience was let down by the surgeon. My nipples were cut way too small with no warning and it doesn't look good. It's a mixed outcome. The clinic was okay, but the results are disappointing.

Good evening. My name is Anna. I will start my story with the fact that I am not the first time I come to Turkey to correct some nuances in myself. That is, there is something to compare!
The first person I want to talk about is Dr MED. He is a professional, I would say a fan, he lives and breathes his work. From the first meeting with a banal Hallo to the marking before surgery from the doctor one positive and kindness. He has incredible energy and love for his work. My plans for the operation were global on this visit, but they were not fated to come true. During the operation my blood pressure jumped to 150 and fluctuated during 3 hours from 90 to 150 - it was decided by the anaesthesiologist and the doctor to stop the operation. As a result, only liposuction of the abdomen 360 degrees and correction of the chin was performed.
Secondly is of course Dr Mad and his staff . Everything was organised initially through Bookingmed, prices and conditions were agreed with them at the beginning. As soon as we arrived in Turkey we were organised a comfortable transfer to the hotel. In the morning we had a lovely interpreter, Lara, who was with us for the whole 7 days of our stay in Turkey. Very competent staff, the night after the operation I was cared for by two nurses who every hour I put a drip of different medicines and brought me food and water. It was very nice to see Larochka who was on call 24/7.
In the third hotel and hotel staff, very attentive and responsive. At any request it was always, quickly and without unnecessary conversations. I had breakfast in the room the first 4 days as it was hard to walk me. Even on the second day they brought me soup in my room in the evening in the hotel, which was especially nice.
