The team followed through on every detail discussed
Sitting in the consultation room while the surgeon explained the precise use of 50-100 million umbilical cord stem cells gave me a clear sense of the technical path ahead. Fifteen days after the treatment, I am already noticing some improvement in my overall physical state. The application was smooth, and I experienced no injection site reactions or inflammatory flare-ups afterward. Recovery is just beginning. Every interaction with the clinic staff was handled with professional efficiency, ensuring that the logistical side of the medical travel was as controlled as the procedure itself. It is important to stay patient during this early window while the body starts to respond to the cells. The team followed through on every detail discussed.
Josh and team had fantastic thorough communication
Not sure... give me extra stem cells. Maybe have more food?

It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about Botox injections in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is it safe for Australians to receive Botox injections in Thailand?

Botox injections in Thailand are safe for Australians when performed by board-certified specialists. Always choose hospitals or clinics accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International). Reputable facilities use FDA-approved brands like Allergan and Xeomin. Patients should choose doctor-led centres for medical oversight and authentic product handling.

  • Accredited facilities: JCI-accredited hospitals such as Yanhee International maintain rigorous global safety standards.
  • Qualified injectors: Doctors like Dr Pimchya Panichkul hold international fellowships in cosmetic medicine.
  • Brand authenticity: Premium clinics provide FDA-approved options including Allergan, Xeomin, and Nabota.
  • Medical oversight: Hospitals like Wansiri provide doctor-led consultations and follow-up for every patient.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Australian patients focus on Bangkok. However, Phuket centres like Plenary Wellness often integrate injections into luxury recovery stays. Clinics serving Australians frequently offer telehealth consultations first. This allows patients to verify the toxin brand and injector credentials before leaving Australia.

Patient Consensus: Visitors describe Thai clinics as exceptionally clean with attentive medical staff. Most appreciate the focus on a pain-free experience. Many recommend confirming the product is opened in your presence. It is best to schedule treatments early to allow for local follow-up.

How can I verify that the Botox product used at a clinic in Thailand is genuine?

To confirm Botox authenticity, inspect the physical packaging for Thai FDA registration. Ask the specialist to reconstitute the vacuum-dried powder in your presence. Patients should check official distributor databases for genuine brands like Allergan, Xeomin, or Nabota. Always match lot numbers on the vial and box.

  • Packaging inspection: Look for the holographic Allergan film and official Thai-language instruction leaflets.
  • Product state: Genuine Botox arrives as a dry white crust, never as a liquid.
  • Licensing check: Verify the 11-digit clinic licence at centres like Yanhee International Hospital.
  • Batch matching: Check that manufacturing and expiry dates on the vial match the outer box.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Australian patients associate Botox solely with Allergan. However, clinics like Plenary Wellness and Wansiri Hospital offer high-quality alternatives like Aestox and Nabota. These Korean-made brands are Thai FDA-approved. They often cost between A$300 and A$500 for 100 units. This provides a safe, budget-friendly option without compromising on results.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend asking staff to see the original sealed box before preparation. They often highlight that comfortable, clean clinics with attentive specialists provide a pain-free experience at excellent prices.

What aftercare and activity restrictions should I follow after getting Botox in Thailand?

Standard aftercare for Botox in Thailand involves staying upright for at least 4 hours. You should also avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Because of the local climate, avoid intense heat, hotpots, and spicy food. Skip facial massages for 14 days to prevent the toxin from migrating.

  • Upright position: Do not lie flat or bend over for 4 hours to prevent diffusion.
  • Heat management: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and direct sun for at least 48 hours.
  • Dietary caution: Skip very spicy or fermented foods like som tum for 14 days.
  • Physical pressure: Postpone traditional Thai massages or facials for 2 weeks after treatment.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While Botox is outpatient, clinics like Plenary Wellness and Menness Wellness Clinic serve many Australians. These clinics often provide video follow-ups. Many Thai packages include Korean brands like Nabota or Aestox. These provide results for around $300 compared to the $600 Australian average.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand find the clinics clean and comfortable with attentive staff. They report the procedure is painless. Most highly recommend following the upright rule for several hours.

What brands of Botox are commonly available to patients visiting Thailand?

Patients visiting Thailand can access premium international brands like Allergan, Xeomin, and Dysport. They also use popular South Korean alternatives such as Nabota, Aestox, and Neuronox. These brands are Thai FDA-approved for anti-wrinkle treatments, facial slimming, and body contouring.

  • Premium Western brands: Allergan, Xeomin, and Dysport are used for precise targeting and longevity.
  • South Korean alternatives: Nabota, Aestox, and Neuronox offer cost-effective results for facial slimming.
  • Specialist applications: Clinics like Menness Wellness use these brands for scrotal area injections.
  • Unit-based pricing: Treatments typically cost from $300 to $300 depending on the brand.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Allergan remains the global standard, but Nabota is the first Asian brand with US FDA approval. Many Bangkok clinics use Nabota for jaw slimming. It provides high purity at a lower price than Western toxins.

Patient Consensus: Visitors describe the experience as painless and professional. They recommend asking for the brand name and confirming total units in writing before starting treatment.

What is the typical dosage for Botox injections in common facial areas during a procedure in Thailand?

In Thailand, Botox dosages are broken down by the units needed to relax specific muscle groups. Standard treatments for facial wrinkles or jaw slimming typically use 50 to 100 units. Specialists in Bangkok and Phuket often bundle these amounts into all-inclusive packages. They use brands like Allergan, Nabota, or Aestox.

  • Jaw slimming: 50–100 units of Aestox or Nabota effectively slim the masseter muscles.
  • Upper face: 20–60 units typically treat forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet.
  • Lip Flip: 4–10 units of premium botulinum toxin create a fuller upper lip look.
  • Full rejuvenation: 100-unit packages of Neuronox or Nabota cover multiple facial areas comfortably.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often offer 100-unit bundles as the best value option. A Lip Flip or forehead treatment uses very few units. However, 100-unit packages costing from $300 let doctors treat the entire face. This volume-based approach makes Thailand a global leader, serving over 69,000 requests through Bookimed.

Patient Consensus: Visitors in Thailand often describe the experience as professional. They note that clinics are exceptionally clean and staff are very attentive. Many highlight that the procedure is painless and offers excellent value compared to Australian prices.

Do I need to stay overnight in a clinic if I receive Botox in Thailand?

No overnight stay is required for Botox in Thailand. It is a non-invasive outpatient procedure. Injections typically take 15–30 minutes. This allows patients to leave the clinic immediately. Centres like Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Wansiri Hospital provide these treatments as same-day appointments.

  • Clinic stay: Patients require 0 days of hospital stay for standard anti-wrinkle injections.
  • Expert injectors: Specialists such as Dr Pimchaya Panichkul hold international diplomas in dermatology.
  • Premium brands: Clinics offer FDA-approved products including Allergan, Xeomin, Nabota, and Aestox.
  • Male-specific options: Specialist urologists at Menness Wellness Clinic perform targeted Botox for men.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most clinics exclude accommodation. However, mid-range packages from Phuket providers often bundle 5-star hotel stays. This adds value for Australians seeking a holiday-style recovery. These bundles can be more cost-effective than booking separate seaside accommodation.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand describe the process as clean, comfortable, and virtually painless. They appreciate the attentive staff and results from premium brands like Nabota.
