How Much Does Chemical Peel Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Chemical Peel in Thailand typically costs from AUD $431 / ฿A14,666 to AUD $863 / ฿A29,331. The final price depends on the depth of the treatment, the clinic's facility type, and the expertise of the dermatologist. Australians save approximately 80% compared to local prices, where the average cost is AUD $2,876 / ฿A97,770. Packages generally include the procedure, professional skin assessment, and post-peel soothing care.

  • Treatment depth: Medium-depth peels generally add 20% to 40% to the base cost of light peels.
  • Deep peels: These medical procedures often require surgical settings and cost significantly more than surface treatments.
  • Regional variations: Prices in Bangkok medical hubs can be 15-20% higher than clinics in Phuket.
  • Facility type: Costs at international hospitals often reflect premium facilities and JCI-accredited safety standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a specialist clinic in Phuket can offer better value than Bangkok's major hospitals. Specialists like Dr. Ariyapon Lortaraprasert have performed over 10,000 procedures and hold American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) certification. This allows patients to access top-tier expertise at regional prices. Look for doctors with international training to ensure your skin type is treated with familiar Western protocols.

The team followed through on every detail discussed
Sitting in the consultation room while the surgeon explained the precise use of 50-100 million umbilical cord stem cells gave me a clear sense of the technical path ahead. Fifteen days after the treatment, I am already noticing some improvement in my overall physical state. The application was smooth, and I experienced no injection site reactions or inflammatory flare-ups afterward. Recovery is just beginning. Every interaction with the clinic staff was handled with professional efficiency, ensuring that the logistical side of the medical travel was as controlled as the procedure itself. It is important to stay patient during this early window while the body starts to respond to the cells. The team followed through on every detail discussed.

If you're travelling to Bangkok and need fast and quality care, I would highly recommend using Bookimed to set up an appointment and going to B
Everything went so smoothly and I was well taken care of upon arrival. B. Care Medical Center is very clean and beautiful. The medical team were very professional and thorough and warm and welcoming. Prices were very reasonable and they went above and beyond to give me more treatment than I had asked for. Bookimed was also very easy to use, response time was quick and easy and all my questions were answered promptly. If you're travelling to Bangkok and need fast and quality care, I would highly recommend using Bookimed to set up an appointment and going to B. Care Medical Center for your medical needs.

It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about Chemical Peel in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are chemical peels safe to have done at a clinic in Thailand?

Chemical peels in Thailand are safe when performed by qualified dermatologists in clinical settings. Reputable centres use branded products and follow strict medical protocols. Patients can access light, medium, or deep peels. They can save 60% compared to typical Australian costs.

  • Qualified specialists: Procedures at clinics like ProDerma are led by board-certified dermatologists.
  • International certification: Dr Akkavich Harnnavachok at Siam Clinic holds American Board of Laser Surgery credentials.
  • Clinical environment: Medical clinics in Bangkok and Phuket provide more safety than beauty salons.
  • Experience levels: Practitioners like Dr Ariyapon Lortaraprasert have performed 10,000+ aesthetic procedures.
  • Diverse depths: Facilities offer various solutions, including collagen lifting from $300 to $500.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s safety advantage lies in its dermatologist-led model. Many Australian patients see aesthetic nurses for skin treatments. In contrast, clinics like ProDerma in Bangkok maintain teams of 5+ specialised dermatologists. This medical oversight reduces risks during intensive deeper peels.

What is the expected recovery time for a chemical peel if I travel to Thailand?

Recovery time for a chemical peel in Thailand typically ranges from 1 to 3 weeks. This timeframe depends on the treatment depth. Medical skin care clinics in Bangkok and Phuket offer light peels with 3–7 days of downtime. Deeper peels require 14–21 days of healing before resuming social activities.

  • Light peels: Expect redness and minor flaking for 3–7 days after the procedure.
  • Medium peels: Skin needs 7–14 days to manage swelling, crusting, and sensitivity.
  • Deep peels: These require 14–21 days for significant healing and skin regeneration.
  • Sun protection: Avoiding UV exposure is essential for 4–6 weeks in Thailand's tropical climate.
  • Clinical expertise: Board-certified specialists like Dr Ariyapon Lortaraprasert have performed 10,000+ dermatological procedures.

Bookimed Expert Insight: A chemical peel costs from $300 to $600. Patients should budget for an extra 3–5 days in Thailand before flying. Recycled cabin air can dehydrate new skin. Early follow-up checks at clinics like ProDerma help manage the peeling process without irritation.

Patient Consensus: Plan for 7–14 days before looking socially presentable as residual patchiness is common. Avoid the beach and heavy sweating in Thailand. This prevents pigmentation risks and prolonged redness during recovery.

What precautions should I take before undergoing a chemical peel in Thailand?

Preparing for a chemical peel in Thailand requires careful sun management in the tropical climate. This helps to prevent pigmentation issues. Patients must stop using retinoids or exfoliants seven days before. They should also use SPF 30 daily. Certified dermatologists at clinics like ProDerma Clinic provide safe treatment and tailored skin preparation.

  • Sun protection: Avoid tanning or beach holidays for at least one week before the peel.
  • Skincare pause: Stop using AHAs, BHAs, and retinoids 3–7 days before the appointment.
  • Hair removal: Stop waxing, electrolysis, or hair removal creams one week before the procedure.
  • Medication review: Discuss antiviral medications with doctors if prone to cold sores.
  • Patch testing: Request a small site test if travelling and unable to return for care.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s leading aesthetic centres often maintain high standards through international certifications. Specialists like Dr Ariyapon Lortaraprasert at Navamin9 Hospital hold AAAM credentials. He has performed 10,000+ aesthetic procedures. This high volume results in refined protocols for managing hyperpigmentation in humid, high-UV environments.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand suggest bringing your own gentle cleansers and moisturisers for recovery. Most recommend staying in the country longer after deep peels. This allows doctors to monitor healing before the patient flies home.

Can a chemical peel in Thailand effectively target acne scars and sun damage?

Chemical peels in Thailand effectively target sun damage and superficial acne scars. They work by removing damaged skin layers. Specialists at centres like ProDerma Clinic in Bangkok use medical-grade acids to improve pigmentation. For pitted or deep scars, doctors may combine peels with laser therapy for best results.

  • Treatment depths: Clinics offer superficial to medium-depth peels tailored to specific skin concerns and types.
  • Expert credentials: Specialists like Dr Akkavich Harnnavachok hold American Board of Laser Surgery certification for skin treatments.
  • Clinic options: Specialist facilities like Derma Plus Clinic and ProDerma Clinic provide focused dermatological care.
  • Skin preparation: Board-certified dermatologists assess skin tones to prevent rebound pigmentation after medical peels.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While facial peels are affordable, many leading Thai dermatologists recommend combining them with collagen lifting. This dual approach addresses both surface pigmentation and skin laxity. At specialised clinics, collagen lifting costs between $300 and $500. This provides more comprehensive rejuvenation than a peel alone.

Patient Consensus: Patients find peels highly effective for sun damage and uneven tone in Thailand. Most suggest using peels for brightness while managing expectations for deep, structural acne scars.

What types of chemical peels can I choose from when visiting a clinic in Thailand?

Patients in Thailand can choose from superficial glycolic and salicylic acid peels. Other options include medium-depth trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and Jessner’s peels. Intensive retinol and collagen lifting treatments are also available. These options address acne, pigmentation, and fine lines at clinics like ProDerma Clinic or Derma Plus Clinic.

  • Acid types: Professionals use glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acids for superficial skin texture refinement.
  • Medium peels: Specialist centres provide TCA and Jessner’s solutions to treat deeper acne scarring.
  • Collagen lifting: Treatments like collagen lifting typically cost from $300 to $500.
  • Combined therapies: Doctors often pair peels with laser or injectable methods for better skin renewal.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand is a hub for dermatology centres, with over 150 clinics serving international patients. Clinics like ProDerma maintain high standards, evidenced by 100+ public reviews. Specialists like Dr Akkavich Harnnavachok hold American Board of Laser Surgery certification.

Patient Consensus: Visitors to Thailand suggest requesting a patch test and a full skin assessment first. Experience shows that asking for before-and-after photos helps confirm the specialist's experience with similar concerns.
