How Much Does Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Breast augmentation with silicone implants in Thailand typically costs from AUD $5,004 / ฿A170,152 to AUD $9,294 / ฿A315,996. Prices depend on the implant brand, such as Motiva or Mentor, and the surgical technique used. Australians save approximately 55% compared to local costs, which average AUD $15,728 / ฿A534,762. Standard packages often include surgeon fees, anaesthesia, hospital stays, and post-operative medications.

  • Anatomical implants: typically add 15–20% over standard round silicone due to their natural teardrop shape.
  • Combined procedures: adding a breast lift to the augmentation can increase the price by 30–50%.
  • Premium brands: Motiva Ergonomix implants generally cost 20% more than basic silicone options.
  • City variations: clinics in Bangkok are highly competitive, while Phuket facilities may run up to 25% higher.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing established hubs like Yanhee International Hospital or Asia Cosmetic Hospital offers Australian patients JCI-accredited safety at competitive rates. For example, a Motiva Ergonomix package at Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital cost approximately A$10,400 and includes full post-operative care. While Bangkok is the primary hub, Pattaya also features JCI-accredited centres like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya for regional variety.

Data verified by Bookimed as of June 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 52 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.
Coordinator was very nice keeping in touch before and after the surgery and the doctor and nurses were very nice

The surgeon and staff were very capable and provided solid care from start to finish
The main thing I worried about was the recovery, and it is definitely a process. At 15 days post-op, sleeping on my back is hard, and the pain is still moderate, though it's manageable. It's not easy. I’m glad that my nipple sensitivity feels normal, which was a specific concern since my surgeon used an incision around the nipple. The surgeon and staff were very capable and provided solid care from start to finish. My best advice for anyone else is what got me through the tougher moments: have patience and trust the procedure.
Very warm gesture I have been experienced from doctor and staff very cooperative and responsible.

100% recommend this clinic
On 19.02.2025 I had breast augmentation surgery. Beforehand, I received a detailed consultation from professionals Dr Anychit Kitsombud, Dr Elena Goldobenko and nurse Maricor. The doctor helped with the choice of size and shape of implants, told me in detail about the operation, consequences, recovery process, gave clear recommendations. The surgery was easy, the medical staff was always in touch, they helped, cared. Dr Elena is always in touch, controls the recovery process, gives recommendations. Definitely, the choice of this clinic was the right decision for this operation. I am very happy with the result. 100% recommend this clinic. Professionalism, safety, care - B Care!

I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

I am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away
Dr has a lot of experience in breast implants, he removed my old implants together with capsulatomy and replaced them with new implants with very little scarring. I had waited two weeks to give a proper analysis of his work,, and am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away.
Dr has many years of experience in doing implants and he had to remove my old implants and a capsulectomy procedure and putting in new implants with little scarring.

For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Travelled all the way from Singapore to Thailand because of the great reviews I read online. Here's what I experienced: There was no pain at all during the surgery. By day 6, I was moving around just fine (I did my surgery on a Saturday and flew back to Singapore the following Friday with no issues, even while carrying my luggage). By day 9, all the pain was gone, and I could carry my heavy school bag to school the whole day without any problem. I was honestly quite surprised at how fast I recovered, especially after reading that some people take one to three months to fully recover. That's one of the main reasons I recommend this clinic. The breast implants turned out really well. For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Today is the 9th day from the day of my surgery and I’m alrdy recovered from the painfulness.
No complain at all, all good

FAQ about Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How do I ensure the safety of silicone breast implants used in Thailand?

To ensure silicone breast implant safety in Thailand, select JCI-accredited hospitals and surgeons verified by the Royal College of Surgeons Thailand. Choose brands with FDA approval like Motiva. Leading centres in Bangkok use HEPA air filtration and 24-hour nursing care to reduce infection risks.

  • Hospital accreditation: Select facilities like Yanhee International Hospital or Asia Cosmetic Hospital with JCI and ISO certifications.
  • Surgeon expertise: Choose specialists such as Dr Kittisak Vichachai, who holds board-certified credentials in plastic surgery.
  • Device verification: Opt for adaptive silicone implants like Motiva Ergonomix backed by manufacturer warranties.
  • Clinical environment: Use clinics with Clean Room standard operating theatres and touchless features to prevent infection.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai hospitals like Yanhee and Sikarin serve hundreds of thousands of patients annually. While costs range from $3,500 to $6,500, safety is supported by cardiologists and anaesthetists supervising every theatre procedure.

Patient Consensus: Patients suggest requesting the device sticker and operative report to take home. Most recommend arranging an Australian GP follow-up before departure to monitor recovery milestones after flying home.

What are the warning signs of complications following breast augmentation surgery in Thailand?

Warning signs of complications after breast augmentation in Thailand include escalating pain, fever, or sudden asymmetry. Patients must monitor for persistent redness, skin darkening, or excessive warmth. These signs may indicate an infection or haematoma. JCI-accredited Bangkok hospitals provide detailed post-operative protocols to manage these risks.

  • Infection indicators: Watch for fever, chills, or foul-smelling wound discharge.
  • Asymmetry alerts: Sudden swelling or one breast sitting higher indicates a potential haematoma.
  • Escalating pain: Pain that worsens daily requires an immediate clinical review.
  • Skin compromise: Blistering or darkening around incisions suggests poor blood flow.
  • Late-onset hardness: Breasts feeling firm or misshapen may signal capsular contracture.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Wansiri Hospital use HEPA air filtration and touchless systems to reduce infection risks. Some surgeons also provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy to speed healing. These tools specifically target common early complications like swelling and slow wound closure.

Patient Consensus: Travellers emphasise that any redness or heat that spreads must be checked immediately. They suggest having a local GP in Australia ready for follow-up care after flying home.

What is the typical recovery period for breast augmentation patients travelling to Thailand?

Patients travelling to Thailand for breast augmentation generally require 7 to 10 days before flying home. Stitches are typically removed after 1 week. Most patients return to light desk work within 5 to 7 days. Specialists recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks before resuming heavy lifting or gym workouts.

  • Stitch removal: Surgeons usually remove sutures between day 5 and day 7 post-operation.
  • Flying timeframe: A 10-day stay minimises risks like deep vein thrombosis during the flight home.
  • Physical restrictions: Avoid raising arms above the head for roughly 10 days after surgery.
  • Exercise gradual return: Light jogging is typically safe after 2 weeks. Avoid Pilates for 6 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital use hyperbaric oxygen and light therapy to speed up healing. These treatments reduce swelling significantly in the first 72 hours. This helps international patients feel more comfortable for the long flight back to Australia.

Patient Consensus: The first week involves noticeable tightness and limited arm movement. Patients suggest booking airport porter assistance and direct flights to make the return journey from Thailand less stressful.

Which silicone implant brands are commonly available for breast augmentation in Thailand?

Premium silicone implant brands like Motiva and Mentor lead the Thai market. Motiva Ergonomix implants are popular for their natural movement. Mentor remains a staple for its long safety record. Clinics in Bangkok and Pattaya also offer alternatives like Nagor and Polytech.

  • Motiva Ergonomix: These feature technology that shifts shape naturally when standing or lying down.
  • Mentor implants: This trusted brand comes in smooth or textured round and teardrop shapes.
  • Nagor and Polytech: Specialist European brands often used for specific aesthetic or volume requirements.
  • FDA approval: Leading centres like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital only use FDA-approved medical devices.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Motiva Ergonomix is the high-end choice. Some Bangkok clinics bundle these implants into all-inclusive packages. Patients can find these adaptive implants for A$10,000 at specialised hospitals. This often includes post-operative care and hospital stays that standard packages might exclude.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend confirming the exact brand and volume range in writing. They suggest checking that the chosen brand does not change the initial price quote.

What does the dual plane technique involve for breast augmentation in Thailand?

Dual plane breast augmentation in Thailand places the upper implant under the pectoral muscle. The lower part sits behind the breast tissue. This hybrid approach uses muscle release to create a natural teardrop shape. This provides stable coverage and better projection.

  • Upper positioning: The pectoral muscle covers the top of the implant to prevent visible edges.
  • Lower positioning: The implant sits directly behind breast tissue for a natural hang.
  • Muscle release: Surgeons detach the lower muscle edge, allowing the implant to settle comfortably.
  • Ptosis correction: This technique helps lift mildly sagging breasts without a full surgical lift.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many JCI-accredited Bangkok clinics offer standard silicone implants. However, the trend is shifting toward adaptive Motiva Ergonomix implants. Dr Chen Surgery Hospital uses these to mimic natural movement. This implant choice and the dual plane method reduce the high-riding look of traditional techniques.
