The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

The surgeon and staff were very capable and provided solid care from start to finish
The main thing I worried about was the recovery, and it is definitely a process. At 15 days post-op, sleeping on my back is hard, and the pain is still moderate, though it's manageable. It's not easy. I’m glad that my nipple sensitivity feels normal, which was a specific concern since my surgeon used an incision around the nipple. The surgeon and staff were very capable and provided solid care from start to finish. My best advice for anyone else is what got me through the tougher moments: have patience and trust the procedure.
Very warm gesture I have been experienced from doctor and staff very cooperative and responsible.

100% recommend this clinic
On 19.02.2025 I had breast augmentation surgery. Beforehand, I received a detailed consultation from professionals Dr Anychit Kitsombud, Dr Elena Goldobenko and nurse Maricor. The doctor helped with the choice of size and shape of implants, told me in detail about the operation, consequences, recovery process, gave clear recommendations. The surgery was easy, the medical staff was always in touch, they helped, cared. Dr Elena is always in touch, controls the recovery process, gives recommendations. Definitely, the choice of this clinic was the right decision for this operation. I am very happy with the result. 100% recommend this clinic. Professionalism, safety, care - B Care!

I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Travelled all the way from Singapore to Thailand because of the great reviews I read online. Here's what I experienced: There was no pain at all during the surgery. By day 6, I was moving around just fine (I did my surgery on a Saturday and flew back to Singapore the following Friday with no issues, even while carrying my luggage). By day 9, all the pain was gone, and I could carry my heavy school bag to school the whole day without any problem. I was honestly quite surprised at how fast I recovered, especially after reading that some people take one to three months to fully recover. That's one of the main reasons I recommend this clinic. The breast implants turned out really well. For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Today is the 9th day from the day of my surgery and I’m alrdy recovered from the painfulness.
No complain at all, all good

I am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away
Dr has a lot of experience in breast implants, he removed my old implants together with capsulatomy and replaced them with new implants with very little scarring. I had waited two weeks to give a proper analysis of his work,, and am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away.
Dr has many years of experience in doing implants and he had to remove my old implants and a capsulectomy procedure and putting in new implants with little scarring.

FAQ about Breast Augmentation with Saline Implants in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are surgeons in Thailand qualified to perform breast augmentation with saline implants?

Thai surgeons are highly qualified specialists who regularly perform breast augmentation with saline implants. Many hold certifications from the Medical Council of Thailand and the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. Clinics like Sikarin Hospital and Bangkok Hospital Pattaya maintain Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.

  • Specialist credentials: Surgeons often hold memberships in the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
  • High surgical volume: Top surgeons like Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul have performed 20,000+ procedures.
  • Clinical infrastructure: Facilities like Wansiri Hospital use HEPA air filtration to prevent infections.
  • Standardised recovery: Hospitals such as Lelux provide 24-hour medical monitoring in private VIP suites.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many local clinics offer cosmetic surgery. However, seeking treatment in a multidisciplinary hospital provides more safety. Facilities like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Sikarin Hospital serve over 250,000 patients annually. These large hospitals maintain on-site intensive care units and full surgical teams. This provides a safety net that smaller, standalone clinics cannot offer.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend choosing established hospitals over small clinics. This provides better access to proper operating theatres. Most suggest requesting saline-specific before and after photos. They also recommend having a clear follow-up plan for when they return to Australia.

What are the benefits of choosing saline implants for breast augmentation in Thailand?

Choosing saline implants in Thailand offers Australian patients safety benefits. These include easy detection of leaks and smaller surgical scars. Clinics in Bangkok and Pattaya provide these procedures at lower costs than in Australia. Surgeons use empty implants to reduce incision sizes. This also allows for precise volume adjustments during surgery.

  • Minimal scarring: Implants are filled after insertion. This allows for smaller incisions and less visible scars.
  • Safety profile: The body safely absorbs saline if a rupture occurs. This makes leaks immediately noticeable.
  • Symmetry control: Surgeons like Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic Bangkok can fine-tune volume during surgery.
  • Certified facilities: Major hospitals like Sikarin Hospital or Bangkok Hospital Pattaya hold JCI accreditation.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Australian clinics charge a high premium for saline options. However, Thai centres like Wansiri Hospital treat saline augmentation as a standard procedure. These clinics often feature HEPA air filtration and Clean Room standards. They provide surgical environments at costs ranging from $3,500 to $6,500. This is roughly 44% less than the $9,000 Australian average.

What is the recommended duration of stay in Thailand for breast augmentation recovery?

Surgeons in Thailand generally recommend staying for 7 to 10 days after breast augmentation. Most patients require 1 night in hospital for monitoring. A total stay of 2 weeks is safer for recovery before the flight to Australia.

  • Clinical follow-up: Surgeons typically schedule appointments 7 days post-surgery to check incision healing.
  • Hospital stay: Facilities like Lelux Plastic Surgery Hospital provide private VIP suites for 24-hour monitoring.
  • Travel clearance: Patients must get explicit surgeon clearance before boarding a long-haul return flight.
  • Mobility limits: Lifting arms above the head is usually restricted for roughly 10 days post-op.
  • Activity timeline: Avoid strenuous upper body exercise or heavy lifting for at least 6 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics suggest a 7-day stay. However, Bookimed data shows high-volume centres like ID Clinic Bangkok treat 4,000+ patients annually. Choosing a JCI-accredited facility like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya meets international safety standards for Australian travellers.

Patient Consensus: The first few days are often the most uncomfortable for reaching and sitting upright. Experienced patients recommend building in extra buffer days to handle any swelling before flying home.

What should I expect during the recovery process following breast augmentation in Thailand?

Recovery in Thailand focuses on a 10 to 14-day stay. This ensures healing before long-haul flights. Patients typically spend one night in accredited hospitals like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. The process involves initial chest tightness and specialised compression bra support. Surgeons also perform follow-up checks for incision healing and suture removal.

  • Hospital stay: Most patients stay 1 night in hospital for monitoring by nursing staff.
  • Arm mobility: Avoid lifting over 4.5kg or raising arms for the first 10 days.
  • Surgical support: Wear a specialised surgical bra 24/7 to help position saline implants correctly.
  • Clinical environment: Leading centres like Wansiri Hospital use HEPA-filtered theatres to prevent infections.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Lelux Hospital offer private VIP recovery suites with 24-hour nursing care. This level of supervised recovery is rare in Australia at similar price points. It allows surgeons to monitor the drop and fluff process closely before patients fly home.

Patient Consensus: The first 5 days are the hardest due to tightness and limited arm movement. Patients recommend booking a helper for hair washing and carrying luggage through airports. Expect to sleep propped up on extra pillows to manage early chest soreness after surgery.

What locations in Thailand are best for breast augmentation surgery?

Bangkok is Thailand's primary hub for breast augmentation. It offers the largest concentration of JCI-accredited hospitals and surgeons. Phuket is the leading alternative for patients seeking resort-style recovery. Both cities feature specialists experienced in international cases. Prices start from $3,500, saving Australians up to 49%.

  • Bangkok hub: Houses high-volume centres like ID Clinic Bangkok, serving 4,000+ patients annually.
  • Phuket recovery: Offers facilities like Phi Beauty Clinic Phuket with ISAPS-member surgeons.
  • Pattaya options: Features large JCI-accredited facilities like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya for regional care.
  • Surgical infrastructure: Facilities like Wansiri Hospital use clean-room standard operating theatres with HEPA filtration.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok clinics often have higher surgical volumes, which correlates with experience. Surgeons like Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic Bangkok have performed over 20,000 procedures. For Australians, this volume often means more predictable results.

Patient Consensus: Patients favour Bangkok for its established hospital infrastructure and easy access to specialists. Many choose Phuket for the relaxing environment. They suggest prioritising centres in Thailand with clear English-speaking support and follow-up plans.
