He treats bone and soft-tissue tumors, bone metastases, and pediatric bone tumors. He also performs hip, knee, and shoulder replacement surgery.

He has served as Professor, Chief Physician, and Medical Director. He has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He provides evidence-based, patient-centered care and uses advanced orthopedic surgical techniques.

Dr. Mustafa Akkaya earned his medical degree from Gazi University (2003–2009). He completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University (2009–2014). He holds a PhD in Musculoskeletal System and Regenerative Medicine from the same university (2016–2020).

In 2022, he received the European Knee Society Knee Arthroplasty Traveling Researcher Fellowship in robotic knee arthroplasty.
