How Much Does Sweat gland suction Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Sweat gland suction in Turkey typically costs from AUD $3,452 to AUD $5,753. The final price зависит on the chosen technique, such as standard suction or laser-assisted ablation, and the clinic location. Patients save around 38% compared to Australia, where the average cost is AUD $5,609. Most Turkish packages include preoperative tests, local anaesthetic, compression garments, and VIP transfers between the airport and clinic.

  • Standard suction-curettage: generally the most affordable method for mechanically removing sweat glands through small incisions.
  • Laser-assisted ablation: typically adds 20–30% to the cost while providing additional skin tightening benefits.
  • VASER-assisted suction: often carries a premium due to specialised ultrasound technology that melts glands before removal.
  • Major medical hubs: clinics in Istanbul, Antalya, and Izmir offer the widest range of all-inclusive packages.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic with international accreditation is a smart move for Australian patients. For example, Hisar Hospital Intercontinental and Memorial Antalya Hospital both hold JCI accreditation, which reflects high safety standards. Some specialists, like Dr. Ali Nurhan Özbaba, have performed over 30,000 procedures, providing massive clinical experience. You can often find clinics in cities like Bursa or Izmir that offer the same high-level technology as Istanbul but with more competitive package pricing.

My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence
If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator. The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

The single positive aspect of this entire process was the staff. They were wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience with the surgeon and the clinic itself was profoundly disappointing, and I'm very concerned with how my otoplasty recovery is going so far. The gap between the supportive staff and the actual medical treatment I received is hard to understand. The facility did not meet my expectations for a medical setting in any capacity. Based on this, I would absolutely not recommend this clinic to anyone considering a similar procedure.
Do not go with bookimed.com. I didn’t liked from the moment when I arrived to airport anyone wasn’t there to pick me up, you know when you arrive any place you have no internet and you can’t make any phone calls or text so night mares already start.

I felt in such safe hands throughout and would recommend my surgeon Dr Yunus Emre Seker and his team to anyone
I loved the coordinator / interpreter. Totally made me feel at ease and comfortable in what I would only describe as an anxious situation especially with the language barrier and the unknown of where you are going. The surgeon himself was wonderful and even had a coffee with me before hand which made me feel completely at ease. I felt in such safe hands throughout and would recommend my surgeon Dr Yunus Emre Seker and his team to anyone. Thank-you so much :)

The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent
The possibility of breathing issues was my primary concern going into this. And honestly, that has been the biggest challenge in recovery so far, with one nostril constantly feeling stuffed. My surgeon performed a closed rhinoplasty. Everything is still very swollen along the bridge, but I can already see that my nose tip appears more refined, which is a great sign. The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent. The general staff were great, though post-op instructions could have been a bit more explicit. I'm satisfied with the medical care I received so far
Dr. Erol is an amazing doctor, his work was amazing he truly listened to my request and expectations and he was really patient and reassuring. The medical assistance team as well, they really took good care of me, they were present when i needed them.
post-op instructions could’ve been explained better

The lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement
My biggest worry was how the final result would look, and whether it would be worth the recovery. Even though I’m still quite puffy around my jawline, the lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement. That part is a huge relief. The staff and clinic environment were excellent from start to finish. Turning my head feels slightly tight but okay. The surgeon did good work, though I rated them a 4/5 as I felt some communication could have been a bit more compassionate after surgery. The most challenging part has absolutely been sleeping elevated. That's no fun. I would still recommend this clinic.
The Bookined coordinator and the Quartz Clinic staff were fantastic: supportive, helpful, compassionate. All updates were communicated to me promptly. The hotel booked for me is really excellent, with smooth transfers and kind drivers. Spot on!
I didn't give the doctor 5 stars because she made me cry the day after surgery. She could adopt a different approach towards me after surgery, with more understanding and compassion, especially since I was there on my own and at the end of the day, she's received all the information required, it doesn't matter from whom. The stress has a significant impact on me. Aside from that, she was great.

The moment I saw the result, even with the initial swelling, I could tell the shape was exactly what I wanted
The moment I saw the result, even with the initial swelling, I could tell the shape was exactly what I wanted. It’s a great feeling. My goal was a more defined tip, and that's precisely what the surgeon delivered using an open approach. The whole process was smooth, and the staff were genuinely caring. The most difficult part of recovery so far is just having to sleep upright, which is temporary. A huge bonus is that I am breathing perfectly through my nose already. I am so grateful for the surgeon's skill and the clear communication from the team.

the care provided by the surgeon and all the staff was impeccable
If you’re thinking about arm liposuction, I’d advise you to prepare for the recovery. My surgeon used the VASER ultrasound technique and, although it’s still early days, my compression sleeves are already too loose. My mobility is limited; my biggest difficulty right now is reaching for things above my head. It’s also important to be patient with the results, because when I look in the mirror today, I can see that one arm looks different from the other, and I’m confident that will even out over time. Despite these minor aspects of the process, the care provided by the surgeon and all the staff was impeccable. I would recommend the clinic.

The surgeon and staff were brilliant and supportive throughout
My biggest worry was ending up with an unnatural shape, but the surgeon’s approach and clear communication completely put me at ease. Right now, things still look a little patchy as about half the transplanted hairs have fallen out, which I was told to expect during this early stage of healing. It’s a process. The biggest challenge has honestly been a personal one: just remembering to avoid touching them! The surgeon and staff were brilliant and supportive throughout. While the clinic facilities were fine, the personal care from the team made all the difference. I'm very satisfied with my choice.

The surgeon did an excellent job – the incisions were made using the traditional method and are now hidden in the natural folds of the skin
I was worried that the scars from the upper and lower eyelid surgery would be noticeable. Fortunately, the surgeon did an excellent job – the incisions were made using the traditional method and are now hidden in the natural folds of the skin. I have no complaints about him whatsoever. However, the overall impression was greatly marred by the clinic itself, where the conditions were unsatisfactory. Recovery is still ongoing. My eyes are still swollen, and I’ve noticed that when I smile, one side looks slightly different. I hope this will pass. The main advice I would give to anyone considering this procedure is to prepare thoroughly for the period before and after the operation.

I now feel better than I expected
What I remember most about the whole process was the doctor’s approach. Before the operation, he personally marked the incision lines on my upper eyelids and honestly explained what I could realistically expect from the result. The procedure was carried out under general anaesthetic, and I now feel better than I expected. It was a great help that the doctor personally checked on me after the operation, and the clinic provided clear aftercare instructions. There were no additional costs. The only advice I would give to future patients is to make sure you confirm the exact date and time of the operation in advance.

We will be going back for other treatment and truly can’t recommend them enough
Sitting in the clinic in Antalya, the surgeon explained how the laser-assisted technique for my upper eyelids would function during the procedure. The whole service was smooth and we had a fantastic time throughout our stay. The aftercare was good. I was thrilled with how my eyes looked at 12 days, although at day 15 my biggest challenge is that they are still puffy. My eyes look natural and smooth when I smile. It is a process. We will be going back for other treatment and truly can’t recommend them enough. If you are considering eyelid surgery, ensure you have a few weeks to let the initial swelling settle.

I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter
I felt very secure and taken care of through the entire experience. All of my inquiries were answered very promptly by both the bookiemed coordinator, the assistant, and my doctor (Dr. C Altindąg), is very experienced and talked me through what to expect and analyzed my nose very thoroughly. I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter (I had a severe deviated septum and other complications from a past surgery that he identified and corrected including a mirgrated graft and a droopy tip). I'm still quite swollen but look forward to seeing final results in a few months.

But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts
I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts. 5 hours after the operation I returned to the hotel. Which is also very good because the hospital ward is the worst for me. Exactly after a week I took off the splint, my nose was still swollen. The nose is proportional to my face. When the swelling goes down it will be smaller

My surgeon was excellent
My biggest concern before the trip was unexpected additional costs, and unfortunately that concern proved to be justified. My additional costs for two lymphatic drainage sessions, an anti-thrombosis injection for the return flight and meals at the hotel amounted to €450. My advice to future patients is therefore: you should definitely clarify any additional costs that may arise. Apart from that, my surgeon was excellent. He marked the areas very carefully before the operation, which put me at ease. Over 4 litres of fat were removed during the Vaser liposuction, and my recovery has so far gone as expected. The clinic provided me with good support afterwards, was always available and gave me clear aftercare guidelines. If your language skills are not sufficient, you should definitely ask for an interpreter.
So, in the end, the whole package was just right. The coordinator was always on hand for me, organised everything she could and also cleared up any uncertainties. She was absolutely brilliant. The doctor was very friendly, but always rather curt. Because of the language barrier, it wasn’t that easy to sort out many things straight away. That usually only happened afterwards in the coordinator’s WhatsApp group. The transfer and the hotel we’d chosen were also great, and above all, everyone was friendly. The clinic was OK. The rooms didn’t feel as sterile as they do in Germany, but the medical care was very good. Even with the language barrier, the nursing staff always made an effort to chat with you. It was a good thing I had Google Translate.
I was promised a detailed preliminary consultation, but this did not take place. An interpreter on site would have been very helpful. I would recommend a longer stay of at least 10 days. My journey home was anything but pleasant. The wound drains were removed on the day of departure, even though there was still too much wound fluid being produced. On arriving in Germany, I went straight to A&E to rule out any more serious complications.

What gave me the most confidence was my surgeon sitting down with me to draw the incision lines right before the procedure
What gave me the most confidence was my surgeon sitting down with me to draw the incision lines right before the procedure. She was very honest about what results would be realistic for my age and even checked on me personally after I woke up from the general anesthesia. The procedure covered my full face and neck, and while it's still too early to tell what the final outcome will be, the support has been good. The staff are always easy to reach. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses. My main advice would be to arrive a day before your operation for the consultation with your doctor, and make sure to tell them what you eat.
Everything went excellently with the coordinator. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Paysal, who was my surgeon, was kind and knowledgeable.
The staff's English could have been better. The food served was the same for lunch and dinner for two days — chicken and rice. I told them I was vegetarian, but was still served chicken and rice for lunch and dinner.

FAQ about Sweat gland suction in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is the success rate of sweat gland suction surgery in Turkey?

Sweat gland suction in Turkey offers high success rates for hyperhidrosis. Patients typically see an 80-90% reduction in sweating. Leading centres such as Hisar Hospital Intercontinental report success rates up to 95% for hand sweating. They report up to 99% for facial sweating using specialised techniques.

  • Permanent results: Suctioned glands do not grow back. This provides long-term relief for most patients.
  • Clinical effectiveness: Turkish clinics frequently achieve 95% to 98% permanent reduction in sweat production.
  • Satisfaction levels: Over 90% of patients report full satisfaction with the surgery outcome.
  • Follow-up needs: Only 5-10% of patients require a minor touch-up session to reach goals.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While success figures are high, experience levels vary significantly by surgeon. Dr Ali Nurhan Özbaba has performed 30,000+ procedures. This highlights the massive case volume available in Istanbul hospitals. Choosing a high-volume specialist reduces the likelihood of needing a second session for total dryness.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey report a meaningful day-to-day reduction in sweating and odour. Most describe the outcome as much drier. They find the care quality comparable to Western standards.

Who is a suitable candidate for sweat gland suction in Turkey?

Suitable candidates for sweat gland suction in Turkey experience primary axillary hyperhidrosis. This involves excessive underarm sweating that persists despite using clinical-strength antiperspirants or Botox. The procedure suits those seeking a permanent solution while maintaining good health without generalised body-wide sweating.

  • Localized sweating: Best results occur in patients with sweating isolated to the underarm area only.
  • Treatment history: Candidates have usually exhausted conservative options like prescription lotions or regular Botox injections.
  • Permanent goals: Ideal for individuals wanting a durable reduction in sweat production and odour.
  • Healthy profile: Suitable for those without underlying medical conditions causing secondary, whole-body excessive sweating.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Turkish clinics serve over 200,000 patients annually. The best outcomes for sweat gland suction often come from specialists with international certifications. Surgeons like Dr. Hasbi Mert Meral have performed over 2,000 successful procedures. He is a Fellow of the European Board (EBOPRAS). This high-volume experience is crucial for targets. The surgeon must target the correct skin layer without affecting deeper tissues.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey report a significant boost in confidence. They also feel relief from the daily burden of managing clothing stains. They appreciate the noticeable reduction in body odour and the logistics provided by experienced international patient teams.

How is sweat gland suction performed in a Turkish clinic?

Sweat gland suction in Turkey is a minimally invasive procedure. Surgeons remove eccrine glands to treat severe underarm sweating. Specialists use local anaesthesia and tumescent fluid to numb the area. They insert fine cannulas through 3mm incisions to suction and scrape away active glands.

  • Sweat mapping: Doctors perform starch-iodine tests to pinpoint the most active sweating zones.
  • Tumescent anaesthesia: Surgeons use a saline and adrenaline mixture to swell tissue for easier removal.
  • Curettage technique: A specialised tube suctions and scrapes glands from the deep skin layer.
  • Outpatient setting: The 1–2 hour procedure requires no overnight stay in the hospital centre.
  • Initial recovery: Most patients return to light work within 3–7 days after surgery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While traditional suction is common, many Turkish clinics now favour energy-based devices. These tools heat and destroy glands. Dr. Burak Özkan at Medipol Acibadem uses these technologies to spare tissue. Patients should confirm if their quote covers surgical suction or non-surgical heat treatments.

Patient Consensus: Expect significant swelling and lumpiness for several weeks in Turkey. Most people notice dry underarms immediately. Patients suggest checking if the clinic includes the mapping test and telehealth follow-up.

What is the typical recovery period after sweat gland suction in Turkey?

Recovery after sweat gland suction in Turkey is relatively fast. Most patients return to light activities within 3 to 7 days. This outpatient procedure typically requires a 3 to 7-day stay for monitoring before flying home.

  • Initial phase: Take 3 to 5 days off to manage minor bruising and swelling.
  • Work return: Resume desk-based roles within 3 to 7 days after the suction.
  • Activity limits: Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming for at least 2 weeks.
  • Compression wear: Wear a specialised bandage for 1 to 2 weeks to reduce fluid.
  • Full results: Expect deep swelling to settle over several months for final results.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish clinics like Hisar Hospital Intercontinental serve over 250,000 patients annually. They often use tumescent anaesthesia for this procedure. While pain usually subsides within days, Bookimed data shows visible lumpiness can persist for 8 weeks. Choosing JCI-accredited facilities helps confirm that international safety standards are met.

Patient Consensus: Expect the first few days to be the most tender and uncomfortable. Patients suggest avoiding deodorant or friction for a week while the underarms remain sensitive.

Will I experience pain during sweat gland suction in Turkey?

Sweat gland suction in Turkey is typically painless during the procedure. Specialists use local anaesthesia to numb the area. Some patients report feeling pressure or minor discomfort. However, qualified anaesthetists work to make the experience pain-free. Post-operative soreness is common but usually manageable with over-the-counter medication.

  • Anaesthesia options: Clinics use local anaesthesia or light sedation for full comfort.
  • Procedure sensation: Patients often describe the suction as pressure rather than sharp pain.
  • Post-op comfort: Soreness similar to mild sunburn usually subsides within 24–48 hours.
  • Recovery management: Specialists recommend ice packs and loose clothing to reduce swelling.

Bookimed Expert Insight: The experience of the surgeon directly impacts post-op comfort. Doctors like Dr Ali Nurhan Özbaba, who has performed over 30,000 procedures, use refined techniques. These methods minimise tissue trauma. This often leads to less bruising and a more comfortable recovery.

Patient Consensus: Proper numbing makes the biggest difference during the session in Turkey. Patients find that mentioning any discomfort allows practitioners to quickly adjust anaesthesia.

What is sweat gland suction in Turkey?

Sweat gland suction in Turkey is a surgical procedure that treats primary axillary hyperhidrosis. It permanently removes sweat glands from the underarms. Surgeons use a fine cannula to suction glands through tiny incisions. They often combine this with curettage for a 99% success rate.

  • Treatment method: Uses suction-curettage to destroy and remove underarm sweat and odour glands.
  • Clinical setting: Performed under local anaesthesia as an outpatient procedure, typically taking about 1 hour.
  • Recovery period: Patients usually return to normal activities within 24 hours with minimal scarring.
  • Permanent results: Provides a long-term solution by removing glands responsible for excessive perspiration.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Traditional suction-curettage remains common. However, many JCI-accredited centres in Istanbul and Antalya now use systems like miraDry. This technology uses microwave energy to destroy glands without surgical incisions. Bookimed data shows clinics like Hisar Hospital Intercontinental serve over 250,000 patients annually. They often bundle these treatments into 3-day itineraries with all pre-operative screenings and transfers.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey report significant reduction in underarm sweat and odour. Still, recovery often involves more swelling and tenderness than expected. Many suggest planning downtime for the first few days. Patients also recommend checking whether the clinic uses traditional suction or microwave devices.
