How Much Does Sarcoma surgery Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Sarcoma surgery in Turkey typically costs from AUD $14,403 to AUD $29,239, depending on tumor complexity and required reconstruction. In Australia, patients often face high out-of-pocket costs or long public waitlists, with similar private care averaging AUD $43,930. By choosing Turkey, Australians can save approximately 50%. Standard pathology and initial consultations are often included in medical centre fees.

  • Complex treatment of Ewing's sarcoma: AUD $43,210 to AUD $79,218 for intensive multidisciplinary care.
  • Robotic-assisted surgery: Typically adds 20–30% to the cost for better precision in delicate areas.
  • Diagnostic imaging: PET/CT scans and specialty oncologist consultations usually cost between A$200 and A$1,000.
  • Treatment destination: Packages in Istanbul medical hubs may cost 15–20% more than in Ankara.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a facility with international affiliations offers incredible value for complex oncology. Anadolu Medical Center is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine, providing world-recognised standards at Turkish prices. Some clinics, like Memorial Şişli Hospital, use robotic systems to improve surgical accuracy. This level of technology is often more accessible in Istanbul than through Australian private health without massive gaps.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 48 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I feel that we are in safe hands
What worried me most was the uncertainty following the diagnosis. But at the clinic, all the tests required for staging, including the scans, were carried out very quickly, which was a huge relief. The doctors explained the risk category in simple terms, and then we discussed all the possible treatment options in detail. All the specialists are on hand. I feel that we are in safe hands.
Everything's great. I'm really pleased with the results. A professional and meticulous approach. I'd definitely recommend them!
