Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come
The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come. Seeing that was a huge relief. The surgeon and staff provided great support, making me feel secure from the start. Recovery is no joke. It was a positive step when the catheter was removed, but managing the dilation sessions has been very challenging. My biggest concern is the swelling, and I'm focused on trusting the process. The care and the surgical foundation are solid, which is why I'm rating everything positively.
Everything was perfect. The staff were kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the whole process. The doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the excellent care I received.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

My biggest worry going into this was the quality of post-operative care, and that's where things fell short. While the surgeon's work was professional, the support from the clinic staff felt disorganized and was a source of stress during a vulnerable time. The clinic itself could also be improved. It’s a very mixed feeling. I can’t judge the aesthetic outcome yet because everything is still far too swollen to see clearly. On a positive note, getting the catheter removed was a definite relief and a good milestone. The medical part was handled, but the care aspect was lacking.
Language was a problem. Food was horrible, no attempt to take into account cultural differences. Had to wait over an hour for scheduled appointments. Minimal care by all. I would not recommend Wansiri Hospital to any of my friends. Staff would not reach out to my wife, when requested, to resolve problems.

I can honestly say the initial appearance is better than expected
My biggest worry was what the final result would look like. I can honestly say the initial appearance is better than expected. The surgeon used the penile inversion technique, and both the surgeon and the staff have been excellent. Recovery is, of course, a challenge. The catheter is manageable with proper care, and I am following the dilation schedule as instructed, but sitting for long periods is currently very difficult. It’s a real process. For anyone else getting ready for this, my advice is to be calm ☺️ and be happy for the wonderful physical change coming your way!

I wholeheartedly recommend Wansiri Hospital
The hospital is great. I have been looked after since the moment I arrived. The medical outcome is superb. The nurses were very kind and attentive. The only suggestion I would have is to pay in advance as foreign bank transfers can be tricky. I wholeheartedly recommend Wansiri Hospital
Nurses and translator were so kind. The doctor was wonderful
Everything was absolutely great!

FAQ about Keyhole Top Surgery in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is Keyhole Top Surgery in Thailand for masculinising chest reconstruction?

Keyhole top surgery in Thailand is a minimally invasive masculinising chest reconstruction for small chests. It uses a periareolar incision to remove breast tissue while preserving nipple sensation and leaving minimal scarring. Leading clinics include Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Wansiri Hospital.

  • Incision technique: Small cut around the areola for discreet scarring.
  • Tissue removal: Breast tissue extracted through the nipple-area incision.
  • Nipple preservation: Sensation often maintained due to limited dissection.
  • Recovery: Faster than double-incision, with about 3–4 weeks' downtime.
  • Hospital stay: Typically 1 night included in surgery packages.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital achieve 0% complication rates and serve 2,500 patients yearly, showing strong expertise in keyhole top surgery. Packages often include video consultations and lifetime warranty, easing travel worries for Australians. Agencies help manage language and support needs for safer surgery abroad.

Patient Consensus: Australians note the quick recovery and minimal scarring in Thailand. Video calls before the trip build confidence. Many appreciate the care coordination, which helps avoid solo-travel challenges and supports post-op recovery well. Realistic expectations about nipple changes lead to better satisfaction.

Who is a good candidate for Keyhole Top Surgery in Thailand?

Good candidates for Keyhole Top Surgery in Thailand have smaller chests, good skin elasticity, and minimal sagging. The technique suits those with under 300–400 grams of breast tissue per side, a high areola position, and low body fat for a masculine chest with minimal scarring. Surgery suits adults 18+.

  • Chest size: ideal under 300–400 g breast tissue per side
  • Skin elasticity: good to excellent for smooth skin tightening
  • Nipple position: high on the pectoralis muscle, minimal sagging
  • Body fat: generally under 20% to aid chest contouring
  • Recovery: usually requires about one month off work

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s keyhole surgery clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital offer top surgeons with zero post-surgery complications reported. Bangkok clinics serve thousands yearly, often with video consults before travel — vital for assessing candidacy and managing language or local hospital access challenges.

Patient Consensus: Australians find Keyhole Top Surgery in Thailand suits smaller chests well. Many highlight smooth follow-ups via video consults and appreciate staff support despite language hurdles. Having a travel companion post-surgery is common for comfort and safety during recovery.

What does a Keyhole Top Surgery package in Thailand usually include?

A Keyhole Top Surgery package in Thailand typically includes general anaesthesia, the surgical procedure for small chests, and 2–5 nights' hospital stay with meals. Post-op care covers drain removal, shower clearance, and use of a compression binder for about one month.

  • Surgical procedure: Keyhole mastectomy for A–B cup chests with good skin elasticity.
  • Hospital stay: 2–5 nights in a private hospital, including 3 meals daily.
  • Anaesthesia: General anaesthesia included for pain-free surgery.
  • Post-op care: Drain removal around 5 days and shower clearance after surgery.
  • Recovery support: Compression binder for 1 month, included or patient-supplied.

How long should I plan to stay in Thailand after Keyhole Top Surgery?

  • Hospital stay: Typically 1 night for post-op monitoring.
  • Drain removal: Usually occurs around day 5 to 7 after surgery.
  • Follow-up visits: Essential to check wounds and clear for flights.
