I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for
My biggest concern going into this was ending up with a shape that looked strange or unnatural. It's a big decision. I'm still very early in my recovery, but I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for. The surgeon and I decided on Motiva implants. The clinic staff and my surgeon were consistently professional and clear in their communication. The most difficult part for me right now is the significant implant tightness across my chest; it's a persistent discomfort you should be prepared for. It's a process. But the surgical work and care were very good.
I had my surgery at this clinic and I’m honestly very happy with the whole experience. From the first consultation to aftercare, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. The team was incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. A special thank you to the nurse for being so caring, kind, and attentive — it really made a big difference during my recovery. The results have exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciate the effort and care from the entire team. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering surgery.

My surgeon handled that really well — he was upfront about how long healing would take and took time to explain and mark where the scars would sit before we even started
Recovery and scarring were my main concerns going in, and my surgeon handled that really well — he was upfront about how long healing would take and took time to explain and mark where the scars would sit before we even started. The whole body lift happened in one surgery, so it's still too soon to know how the final results will look. The clinic experience itself was a bit mixed — support after the surgery wasn't great, and I barely heard from anyone after I was discharged. On the bright side, there were no hidden or extra costs. My advice to anyone considering this: ask the practical questions upfront — whether the clinic provides meals or you'll need to order food yourself, and whether your surgery and recovery stay happen at the same facility or you'll be moved between a clinic and a hospital.
The doctors work was excellent
The clinic wasn't great for overnight stays and although some of the nursing staff were good at their tasks, it could take a long time for a need to be seen to though. I think the team there need to communicate better within themselves as to a client's needs that may need to be met by a specific team member, ie: if you inform reception that you require assistance that can only be given by a nursing attendant, you could wait for hours for that to be communicated and carried out.

FAQ about Breast Implants with Breast Lift in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are the surgeons in Thailand qualified to perform breast lift and implant surgery?

Surgeons in Thailand are highly qualified breast surgery specialists. Many hold certifications from the Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons of Thailand and international bodies like ISAPS. Leading experts often have 20+ years of experience. They frequently complete fellowships in Australia, the USA, or Europe.

  • Professional accreditation: Specialists are typically members of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand.
  • International training: Surgeons like Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana have completed clinical training in Melbourne.
  • High procedure volume: Top-rated doctors in Bangkok have performed 20,000+ operations throughout their careers.
  • Surgical technology: Hospitals use 3D modelling and clean-room theatres to plan and execute surgeries safely.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai surgeons often specialise in the "combined" approach rather than single procedures. Dr Saran Wannachamras at Wansiri Hospital holds the Hello Beauty Award for most trusted breast specialist. This expertise is critical as lift-and-implant surgery is technically difficult.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that surgeons are professional and clear when explaining projection. Results show great projection early in recovery, though managing physical tightness requires patience.

What is the recommended recovery time for a breast lift with implants in Thailand?

Thai surgeons generally recommend staying in Thailand for 10 to 14 days following a breast lift with implants. Full recovery usually takes 6 weeks, though settling can continue for months. Clinics like Wansiri Hospital provide 11-night recovery packages for post-operative monitoring before flying.

  • Hospital stay: Most patients spend 2 days in hospital for immediate monitoring and pain management.
  • Return to work: Light duties are typically possible after 7–10 days if no heavy lifting is required.
  • Physical restrictions: Avoid strenuous upper body exercise and lifting heavy objects for at least 6 weeks.
  • Support garment: Wear a surgical or sports bra 24/7 for 6 weeks for proper settling.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often bundle 11 nights of hotel stay. This is because flying too early increases the risk of swelling and discomfort on long-haul flights. Surgeons like Dr. Saran Wannachamras at Wansiri Hospital perform multiple follow-up checks during the first fortnight.

Patient Consensus: Initial tightness across the chest is normal, but projection looks great almost immediately. Patients in Bangkok suggest staying 2 weeks to manage soreness before the long flight back to Australia.

Will I be able to breastfeed after having a breast lift with implants in Thailand?

Breastfeeding is often possible after a breast lift with implants in Thailand. Results vary depending on the surgical technique. Specialists like Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana, who trained at Royal Melbourne Hospital, use specific methods to help preserve milk ducts and nipple nerves.

  • Technique matters: Using a pedicle to keep the nipple-areola complex attached increases breastfeeding success chances.
  • Implant placement: Placing Motiva Ergonomix implants under the muscle typically avoids disruption to milk-producing glands.
  • Incision choice: Incisions under the breast fold generally pose less risk to ducts than nipple-based incisions.
  • Clinical planning: Surgeons at Wansiri Hospital use 3D modelling to plan precise tissue and implant positioning.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Wansiri Hospital and ID Clinic Bangkok often bundle 11-night stays into their breast surgery packages. This extra time lets surgeons monitor early tissue healing and nipple sensation before patients fly home. Such checks are vital signals for future breastfeeding capability.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that clear communication with surgeons about lactation goals is vital. While some experience initial chest tightness or temporary nipple numbness, they feel confident in the results and the care provided during recovery.

Why would a patient choose to combine a breast lift with implants in Thailand?

Combining a breast lift with implants in Thailand addresses sagging and volume loss in one surgery. Patients choose this single-stage approach to achieve a firmer shape. They can also save up to 65% compared to the $16,500 Australian average for this combined procedure.

  • Unified recovery: Undergoing one operation avoids multiple rounds of anaesthesia and separate healing phases.
  • Optimal contouring: Surgeons at clinics like Wansiri Hospital use 3D modelling to plan precise implant placement.
  • Specialised implants: Many Thai specialists specialise in Motiva Ergonomix implants for more natural movement.
  • Inclusive care: All-inclusive packages often bundle 2 hospital days with 11 nights of hotel recovery.
  • Expert credentialing: Leading surgeons often hold certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While the procedure costs from $3,900 to $7,600, the real value lies in extended recovery support. Many Bangkok clinics include 11-night hotel stays and full board in their A$16,700–A$18,200 packages. This built-in downtime helps international patients manage initial surgery discomfort safely before flying home.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that a combined lift and implants provides better breast projection. They frequently mention feeling significant chest tightness during early recovery. However, they find the professional communication from clinic staff very reassuring.

Will the results of breast lift and implant surgery in Thailand look natural?

Breast lift and implant results in Thailand look natural when surgeons use anatomical planning. Specialists at accredited Bangkok clinics often use 3D modelling and Motiva Ergonomix implants. These implants shift shape following body movement to mimic natural breast tissue and contour.

  • Ergonomic implants: Motiva Ergonomix technology allows the implant to assume a natural teardrop shape when standing.
  • 3D modelling: Surgeons at Wansiri Hospital use 3D simulations to help patients visualise proportionate results before theatre.
  • Specialist expertise: Dr Saran Wannachamras at Wansiri Hospital is a trusted specialist for complex breast surgeries.
  • Natural profile: Surgeons focus on upper-pole fullness and cleavage to help the enhancement balance the patient's frame.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows several Thai surgeons, including Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana, trained in breast reconstruction in Australia. This experience means they understand the natural aesthetic preferences and body proportions of Australian patients.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that choosing modest implant sizes and Motiva technology creates a natural projection. They mention that initial tightness is normal. The results soften into a natural look after several months.

How long can I expect breast implants from a clinic in Thailand to last?

Breast implants in Thailand typically last 15 to 20 years. Modern silicone devices are durable, but they are not lifetime medical products. Longevity depends on the brands used and surgical techniques. It also depends on how breast tissue ages after a combined lift and augmentation.

  • Implant lifespan: Most patients enjoy 15+ years before considering replacement or aesthetic revision.
  • Premium brands: Clinics like Wansiri Hospital use Motiva Ergonomix implants for natural-looking durability.
  • Revision causes: Replacement is usually due to aesthetic changes rather than rupture.
  • Post-op monitoring: Surgeons recommend ultrasound checks starting 5 to 6 years after the procedure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics focus on stability by pairing implants with internal support during a lift. Specialists like Dr. Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee Hospital trained at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He applies specific methods to help the lift hold its shape as implants age.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand feel more confident when clinics use 3D modelling. This helps them visualise how different implant sizes might age. They often mention that clear communication makes managing follow-up and warranty details much easier.

What level of discomfort should I expect following breast lift and implant surgery in Thailand?

Patients should expect moderate, manageable discomfort for 48–72 hours following a breast lift and implant surgery in Thailand. Common sensations include chest tightness, pressure, and muscle soreness. Specialists at JCI-accredited Bangkok hospitals typically manage this with prescribed medications and recovery therapies like hyperbaric oxygen.

  • Hospital stay: Most patients remain in hospital for 2 days for professional pain monitoring.
  • Chest tightness: Expect a heavy pressure sensation as skin adapts to the new implants.
  • Swelling relief: Some clinics offer light therapy and hyperbaric oxygen to reduce inflammation.
  • Surgical support: Wearing a medical bra 24/7 for 6 weeks is vital for comfort.
  • Arm movement: Initial soreness may limit reaching or lifting during the first few days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: 3D modelling at clinics like Wansiri Hospital helps surgeons plan precise implant placement. Better planning often leads to less tissue trauma during the lift. This can significantly reduce the intense pulling sensation felt during the first week of recovery.

Patient Consensus: Initial tightness across the chest feels like heavy pressure or a strong bandage. Patients in Thailand appreciated the professional communication and clear instructions on movement and sleeping upright.
