He served as an associate professor at Karadeniz Technical University and Başkent University from 2004 to 2009. He was Head of Radiation Oncology at Başkent University. He became a professor at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and remained on the faculty until 2018.

He has authored many international publications. He now practices at Koru Ankara Hospital.
