How Much Does Trabeculotomy Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Trabeculotomy in Turkey typically costs from AUD $2,167 to AUD $3,612. The total price depends on the surgical technique, the surgeon's experience, and whether the procedure is for congenital or adult glaucoma. Patients save around 62% by travelling to Turkey from Australia, where this procedure costs AUD $7,512 on average. Standard inclusions often cover the surgeon's fee, local anaesthetic, and initial consultations.

  • Specialist surgeon fees: Higher-tier packages featuring professors with 20,000+ surgeries may add 50-70% to costs.
  • Congenital glaucoma protocols: These complex paediatric procedures often require specialised equipment and longer hospital stays.
  • Hospital facilities: Costs at multi-specialty centres like Memorial Şişli may differ from single-specialty eye clinics.
  • Accommodation inclusions: Some packages around A$8,960 include five nights in a 4-star hotel to assist recovery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a single-specialty eye hospital provides excellent value for Australian patients. Dunyagoz Eye Hospital, for instance, serves 66,000 patients annually and holds DIN EN ISO certification. You can often secure experienced professors for about A$2,800 at Central Hospital Etiler. This price typically includes local anaesthetic and multiple diagnostic tests like autorefractometry. Such focused clinics offer high volume expertise for a fraction of Australian private costs.

We've booked an appointment with Dr. İbrahim Gökhan Gülkılık a month before arrival. Yet when we came he was on a vacation and we were offered a replacement. We are very dissatisfied with the organization!
