He showed me the endoscopy images and clearly discussed the plan and all the diet stages before the procedure
One of my biggest worries was whether ESG was truly the right choice for me. My surgeon immediately addressed this by being very honest about who is not a suitable candidate, which built a lot of trust. He showed me the endoscopy images and clearly discussed the plan and all the diet stages before the procedure. I'm in my early recovery, but I am feeling better than expected. The post-op support has been solid; the clinic stays in touch, is easy to reach, and provided a clear aftercare guide. The only additional cost was for medicine, as the protein drinks and vitamins at the clinic were far too expensive. My main piece of advice would be to ask them beforehand what specific protein to buy, because it’s hard to figure it out with the different writing on the labels.
Everything. dr was amazing. All his assistants, diaticians and staff organising my trip all we’re fantastic

Thank you so much for your care, warmth and professionalism! Thanks to you, this important step became easier and more confident for me!
I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff of the clinic for their professionalism, care and attention! From the moment of the first consultation to the discharge, I felt I was in safe hands. The doctors explained in detail all the stages of the operation, answered all my questions and supported me morally. The operation was successful and the recovery was much easier than I expected thanks to the competent recommendations of the specialists. The medical staff was always there to help and monitor my condition. I would especially like to note the individual approach and friendly attitude - in such an atmosphere you feel like a dear guest rather than a patient. Now I feel much better and I am already starting to see the first positive results. Thank you for my new life! I recommend the clinic to everyone who wants to solve the problem of excess weight safely and effectively. I would like to thank the coordinator Olga and Dr Alaattin Ozturk for their incredible professionalism and support! Olga was in touch with me from the very beginning and helped me with the organisation of all stages - from consultations to rehabilitation. Thanks to her attentiveness and care I felt calm and confident. All questions were solved promptly, and her friendliness and helpfulness made the preparation process comfortable. Dr Alaattin Ozturk is a true master of his craft! His confidence, professional approach and attentive attitude inspired full confidence. The operation went perfectly and the post-operative period was carefully monitored. He was always ready to give advice and support on the way to a new life. Thank you so much for your care, warmth and professionalism! Thanks to you, this important step became easier and more confident for me!
What impressed me most about the clinic was the staff! From the very first day I felt incredibly caring, attentive and supportive. The doctors, nurses, coordinators - everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. Not only did they provide high quality care, but they created an atmosphere of comfort and confidence. They were always there to help, answer any questions and support in times of anxiety. Such a human approach makes the recovery process much easier and more pleasant. Thank you to every member of staff for your warmth, care and genuine involvement! You do an incredible job helping people change their lives for the better.

The doctor from the first minute caused complete confidence
Excellent clinic. Very caring and skilled doctors. Despite the fact that I went to the gastrectomy operation alone, without an accompanying person, I did not feel for a single minute without attention and care. Thanks to my wonderful translator Elmira - she has become a real support. Special thanks to my coordinator Bakhtygul - she organized everything as comfortably and professionally as possible. The recovery room is excellent. Bright, with a beautiful view. My deep gratitude to all the staff of the surgical department (floor 1) for their kindness, attention, support, care. The doctor from the first minute caused complete confidence. I think he is a true professional and a wonderful surgeon. I definitely recommend the clinic for a competent, comprehensive examination, and for the treatment of serious problems.

I am glad I chose this clinic, I recommend it to everyone
Everything was perfect. My personal driver met me at the airport and took me to the clinic in a luxury car. At the clinic I was met by the coordinator - interpreter Ismail. He helped me to get registered at the clinic and set preliminary analyses. The next day there was another coordinator - interpreter. She helped me through the remaining procedures before surgery. Many people come with an accompanying family member (mum, sister, husband) I came alone. So my coordinator sat with me in the room after surgery all day until I fully recovered, talking to me. All the days after the operation, the coordinators came several times a day to ask about my condition and my needs. All the doctors are very nice and attentive. All the staff, nurses, orderlies and other clinic staff are all very caring and nice. The ward is large and spacious. It has a toilet and a shower. There is a cupboard for personal belongings and a TV set. Meals are provided several times a day. The menu differs depending on the operation and some people can make their own diet. I am glad I chose this clinic, I recommend it to everyone. MANY THANKS TO DR ALIATIN AND MY COORDINATORS MRS BURCIN, MRS IZMAIL AND MRS OLENA.
Everything was so good, I can't even choose one thing to praise. Beautiful ward, the best staff.

I don't know if it could have been improved in any way, so I rate this experience a 10 out of 10
From the beginning the process was adapted to my needs: flight dates and availability. In only 2 weeks everything was already organised and programmed. The fact that they gave me the planning by days helped a lot, apart from the personalised assistance I received from the coordinator and the dietician. They were able to answer my questions and doubts very quickly and accurately. They did everything in such a way that it didn't seem complicated at all. One day I had all the necessary tests, the next day I was operated on, another 3 days in hospital and that was it. The day of the surgery was a bit tough but the other 3 days were very bearable, with enough painkillers and plenty of saline solution. The day before the surgery, in the personal interview with the doctor, they gave me as much information as possible and cleared up any doubts, so I already knew beforehand what the process would be. The hospital staff helped a lot to make my experience a pleasant and positive one. I don't know if it could have been improved in any way, so I rate this experience a 10 out of 10.
All information received prior to the procedure.
I would have liked to be able to communicate better in English with the clinic staff.

The experience and professionalism of the Doctor has been unbeatable
I had a stomach reduction with Dr. Batman. I can only recommend this Dr. and the Hisar Hostel. I was very pleasantly surprised. I must admit that I had moments of doubt, of fear that they did not comply with the sanitary measures or that there might be a problem. But the whole process from start to finish was excellent. The hospital has nothing to envy to the best private hospitals in Spain, the experience and professionalism of the Doctor has been unbeatable, I had been given good references from Spain (other great bariatric doctors). And the most important thing is that they are very involved in helping you to make sure that everything goes well, even after the operation, once the year of follow-up starts. The only problem I have, which I think they need to improve, and which I saw in other opinions before deciding to go for it, is that you ask for a translator in Spanish and he never appears. In my case I speak English, but I was accompanied by my mother who doesn't speak any English and I would have appreciated having a Spanish translator at times when I was dazed by the medication. If it were necessary they should offer it, even at an extra cost. I would have paid for it
Professionalism and empathy of the doctor. The facilities and professionalism of the hospital and its staff. The hotel and the room we were offered. The follow-up at all times of the process.
I did not have a Spanish translator
About Bookimed service
The experience with the hospital and Hisar was excellent, but I think Bookimed has a lot of room for improvement. First of all, they need more staff to follow up with patients. At the beginning I was being attended by a chatbot and when I saw other opinions complaining about the same thing, I demanded to change to another coordinator who spoke my language. From that moment on I was attended by a person, and although I have no complaints, I have lacked a little more follow up. So I give an 8 because the hospital has a 10 and bookimed a 6. But without bookimed I would never have found this hospital, so I am very grateful, I hope you take this constructive criticism to improve in the future.

AMAZING overall experience, I would recommend 10/10
I had a great experience with dr. Kaplan, he works with care and treats his patience with an utmost care, answering all questions and providing clarity when needed. The coordinator Madina was absolutely lovely, helping us out throughout the entire process making sure that we have everything we need, making this whole process stress free. The nutrition specialist Ece was very helpful not just with providing the plan, adjusting my diet and answering all my questions medically (nutritionally speaking) but she went out of her way to provide comfort to my mother that was accompanying me on this medical journey, which was immeasurably sweet and thoughtful. AMAZING overall experience, I would recommend 10/10.

Thank you again to the most amazing team for such an incredible experience
At first I was really nervous and I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into - I just knew I had to do something about the weight I had gained and let me tell you, my experience exceeded my expectations!! The team are AMAZING at what they do. The nurse, Madina, is absolutely phenomenal and has such a beautiful soul who genuinely cares about you physically, mentally and emotionally. The nutritionist, Nur, is such a realist and incredible at what she does, she is so informative and explains everything you need to know thoroughly. And finally the surgeon, Dr Kaplan Baha Temizgonul, is undoubtedly such a genuine man who guides and supports you throughout the process as well as answers any questions you may have regarding the surgery and aftercare. He is 100% amazing at what he does and ensures you feel comfortable the entire time. The communication is great, even when you fly back as you can always express any concerns you may have and they’ll deal with it accordingly. The pain after surgery only lasted a few hours and got better and better with the care of the wonderful hospital staff. I don’t think I would’ve felt as cared for if it weren’t for the staff. If you are interested, you NEED to go to Dr Baha as he is the best in the industry. I’m 100% convinced you won’t get a better service elsewhere. Thank you again to the most amazing team for such an incredible experience

They are super recommended to everyone!!!
I am extremely pleased that I chose this clinic for such an important step in my life! There is a very friendly and helpful staff, they are always there 24 by 7 and will help you with everything you need (moving around the hospital, support, bring water if you are unable to go for it yourself, make your condition as easy as possible after the operating room, help you take a shower if you need help, comb and braid you hair, they will definitely hold you senile, help you call a taxi to the airport or hotel, tell you what you can visit in Istanbul if you plan to stay there) a wonderful doctor and his assistant came every day and checked my condition, answered all the questions I asked, explained how to cope with problems if they arise. It's been 5 weeks since the operation, I have minus 12 kg and constant support from the clinic. They are super recommended to everyone!!!

They very much prioritise the patients health as all hospitals should but with the horror stories you hear in the media about health tourism is hard to find a hospital to trust, but lokman hekim is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and I think I picked the right place to have my gastric sleeve
I had an amazing experience with this hospital. The hospital itself was pristinely clean and the room I was given was luxurious and private. From all my pre op testing to after my surgery, everything flowed and was done so smoothly. The attention and care I got from the nurses post op put me at ease and made me feel so safe. The surgeon, staff, and clinic all get a 5/5 from me
My biggest worry was the recovery itself, specifically how tired and weak I would feel. I have to say, my energy level has been better than expected for this early stage. It’s a relief. The surgeon, staff, and clinic all get a 5/5 from me. The biggest eating challenge right now is having no appetite at all, which is an adjustment when you know you need to get your liquids in. I can manage about a quarter cup per sitting, which makes sense given they removed 80-85% of my stomach. Overall, this was the right decision and I would certainly recommend this clinic.
Every Question Answered, Always Kept Intouch, So Helpful and Kind, I couldnt be more comfortable with how Bookimed handle everything. They did an amazing job and any doubt or worry I had they made sure to not worry. The hospital I went to was amazing and they did everything thoroughly. The doctor assigned to me was amazing and so good. After the procedure I was allowed to go back to my hotel 2 days after. My translator Betul on the 2nd day to the day I left was amazing and so pleasant to speak to.
The English Translator on the first day was nice but very invasive and asked personal questions which he was asked not to ask and you could tell that he didnt have much experience.

All my ratings are 5 out of 5, and I am completely satisfied with my choice
If you are seriously considering bariatric surgery, this clinic is definitely worth considering. The entire process, from the initial consultation to the surgery itself, was very well organized. The surgeon and the entire team gave the impression of being competent professionals, which was crucial for me. I felt at ease. My recovery is proceeding as planned, although it's, of course, a significant life change when your meal consists of only 2-3 tablespoons. All my ratings are 5 out of 5, and I am completely satisfied with my choice.
Everything was well-organized. I quickly underwent a complete examination. The operation took place the same day. The staff was polite and attentive, with translators accompanying everywhere. The operation went unnoticed. I fell asleep on the table—in an instant, I was already in the ward. Smooth recovery from anesthesia. After the operation, attentive care was provided, with a nurse checking my blood pressure, temperature, drip, and asking about my feelings almost every hour. They bring food and teach how to eat it properly.
Two nights in the hospital is too little, in my opinion, and then it's impossible to arrange suitable meals at the hotel. It's hard to find chicken broth without salt and spices.

Thank you very much, I recommend you!
My decision to go to this clinic was spontaneous, I had not read reviews anywhere else but this resource, and I was very lucky. I was lucky to find in a foreign country, in a city I had never been to, professionals from hospitality to medical staff. Attentive accompanying interpreter, quick diagnosis and examination - and my tiny doubts were as if there were no doubts. The operation was successful, following the diet schedule I am successfully on the mend. Thank you very much, I recommend you!

I feel better than expected
My biggest fear was the language barrier in another country, but everyone made me feel comfortable and heard. From the coordinators to my doctor, the treatment was professional and humane. My surgeon was particularly good, visiting me after the surgery and explaining realistic outcomes beforehand. I feel better than expected. I was given a clear aftercare guide, and there were no surprise costs. My advice is to stay for about five days after the procedure before you plan to travel home.
My experience was very positive; it exceeded my expectations, since being in another country with a different language than the patient's is often frightening, but there I felt comfortable because at every moment I felt listened to and treated with a lot of human warmth — from the coordinators, the translator, and especially the doctor, who was very professional and humane in his treatment. A very beautiful experience.
