All in all was very impressed
During my consultation, the surgeon and I discussed what results would best suit my specific facial symmetry. This set the tone for the entire process. I didn't have any expectations and all in all was very impressed. I went alone which can make one feel more vulnerable but I was well taken care of and extended a lot of grace for my forgetfulness. My procedure was on both upper eyelids, and while it's too early to tell the final outcome, I can confirm there were no additional expenses. Everything was clear. For anyone considering this, I think it's important to ask about adapting your expectations to your specific uniqueness and go in asking about results that would best suit you.

If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator. The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter
I felt very secure and taken care of through the entire experience. All of my inquiries were answered very promptly by both the bookiemed coordinator, the assistant, and my doctor (Dr. C Altindąg), is very experienced and talked me through what to expect and analyzed my nose very thoroughly. I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter (I had a severe deviated septum and other complications from a past surgery that he identified and corrected including a mirgrated graft and a droopy tip). I'm still quite swollen but look forward to seeing final results in a few months.

The lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement
My biggest worry was how the final result would look, and whether it would be worth the recovery. Even though I’m still quite puffy around my jawline, the lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement. That part is a huge relief. The staff and clinic environment were excellent from start to finish. Turning my head feels slightly tight but okay. The surgeon did good work, though I rated them a 4/5 as I felt some communication could have been a bit more compassionate after surgery.The most challenging part has absolutely been sleeping elevated. That's no fun. I would still recommend this clinic.
The Bookined coordinator and the Quartz Clinic staff were fantastic: supportive, helpful, compassionate. All updates were communicated to me promptly. The hotel booked for me is really excellent, with smooth transfers and kind drivers. Spot on!
I didn't give the doctor 5 stars because she made me cry the day after surgery. She could adopt a different approach towards me after surgery, with more understanding and compassion, especially since I was there on my own and at the end of the day, she's received all the information required, it doesn't matter from whom. The stress has a significant impact on me. Aside from that, she was great.

Nothing could have been better
My biggest concern was traveling alone, especially after having to make a last-minute booking. I booked on the Friday and flew to Istanbul on the Sunday, but being a lone traveller was not a problem at all. The Memorial was a lovely hospital. My surgeon was fantastic; he was honest about the right Motiva implant size for my body, showed photos of similar cases, and explained the risks of combining an anchor lift with implants. The whole process was great from start to finish. I'm feeling better than expected, and the end results are better than I ever could have expected. Nothing could have been better. The only additional expense was my discharge medication, which wasn’t even £7. I have been so pleased, I will hopefully be booking for a tummy tuck next year.

I only booked on the Friday as I was having big concerns about the surgery I had previously booked in April 2026, for September 2026, through another company. Booked on Friday, flew out to Istanbul on the Sunday and flying back home today. The Memorial was a lovely hospital and I couldn’t have asked to be looked after better. I was a lone traveller, but this was not a problem at all. My surgeon was fantastic and the end results are better than I ever could have expected. I have been so pleased with my experience, I will hopefully be booking for a tummy tuck next year. If you are thinking about surgery in Istanbul, I can honestly recommend using Bookimed.

If you’re thinking about arm liposuction, I’d advise you to prepare for the recovery. My surgeon used the VASER ultrasound technique and, although it’s still early days, my compression sleeves are already too loose. My mobility is limited; my biggest difficulty right now is reaching for things above my head. It’s also important to be patient with the results, because when I look in the mirror today, I can see that one arm looks different from the other, and I’m confident that will even out over time. Despite these minor aspects of the process, the care provided by the surgeon and all the staff was impeccable. I would recommend the clinic.

I had a wonderful experience
Dr. Malikgazi was very dedicated and friendly; I would always want to go to him for any future plastic surgery. The hospital is beautiful with very helpful staff, and I thank the interpreters Nurcan and Berk who helped me the entire time. The food was my only issue. The portions were very small, and it was difficult to get more until I insisted. It is still too early to see the final result of my rhinoplasty, which involved a specific technique to change certain parts of my nose. I did have an extra expense for an echocardiogram because of a previous heart surgery. You don't have to bring anything; the hospital and Hotel Uranus are luxury.
The plastic surgeon was very dedicated and friendly. I would always want to go to him if I ever want anything in plastic surgery in the future. My biggest worry was ending up with an unnatural shape, but the surgeon’s approach and clear communication completely put me at ease. Right now, things still look a little patchy as about half the transplanted hairs have fallen out, which I was told to expect during this early stage of healing. It’s a process. The biggest challenge has honestly been a personal one: just remembering to avoid touching them! The surgeon and staff were brilliant and supportive throughout. While the clinic facilities were fine, the personal care from the team made all the difference. I'm very satisfied with my choice.

Honestly, I couldn't fault anything
If you're considering this, my coordinator stayed in touch and really held my hand through it all. The clinic itself feels like a 5-star hotel; it's very clean and modern, and the staff were attentive and nice. My surgeon, Dr. Aysel Pashazade, was professional but warm. During the consultation, she carefully examined my facial structure and was very clear in explaining where the incisions would be placed. After the surgery and discharge, the team was still there for me. I always got a response back, no matter how late it was, which showed they genuinely care about their work. The only additional expenses I had were for antibiotics and painkillers, which cost next to nothing in Turkey. Honestly, I couldn't fault anything.

However, the overall impression was greatly marred by the clinic itself, where the conditions were unsatisfactory. Recovery is still ongoing. My eyes are still swollen, and I’ve noticed that when I smile, one side looks slightly different. I hope this will pass. The main advice I would give to anyone considering this procedure is to prepare thoroughly for the period before and after the operation.

The possibility of breathing issues was my primary concern going into this. And honestly, that has been the biggest challenge in recovery so far, with one nostril constantly feeling stuffed. My surgeon performed a closed rhinoplasty. Everything is still very swollen along the bridge, but I can already see that my nose tip appears more refined, which is a great sign. The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent. The general staff were great, though post-op instructions could have been a bit more explicit. I'm satisfied with the medical care I received so far

The moment I saw the result, even with the initial swelling, I could tell the shape was exactly what I wanted. It’s a great feeling. My goal was a more defined tip, and that's precisely what the surgeon delivered using an open approach. The whole process was smooth, and the staff were genuinely caring. The most difficult part of recovery so far is just having to sleep upright, which is temporary. A huge bonus is that I am breathing perfectly through my nose already. Ezra, the doctor’s assistant, made me feel like a family member. The staff was patient when I used my phone to translate. I am used to a pain scale and there isn't one here, which led to some uncomfortable carry-over pain. For my full arm lift with liposuction on both arms, extended past the elbow, the doctor personally did the markings and explained arm positioning for recovery. I feel better than expected. The clinic has stayed in touch. My advice: bring extra personal wipes and have medical alerts printed in Turkish.
Ezra, the doctor’s assistant, made me feel like a family member. All the staff was helpful and patient when I had to use my phone to translate something (translator is not on duty all night long).
I am used to using a pain scale and there is nothing similar here so I had some carry over pain. Nothing extreme just enough to be uncomfortable.

I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts. 5 hours after the operation I returned to the hotel. Which is also very good because the hospital ward is the worst for me. Exactly after a week I took off the splint, my nose was still swollen. The nose is proportional to my face. When the swelling goes down it will be smaller
