How Much Does Aesthetic temporary prosthesis Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Aesthetic temporary prosthesis in Turkey typically costs from AUD $139 to AUD $558. The final price depend on the material used, the number of units, and the clinic location. In Australia, this dental work averages AUD $1,534, meaning patients save approximately 73%. Most Turkish clinics include professional consultations and digital imaging within the quoted price range.

  • Material type: Premium resins or composite materials typically add 15–25% to standard acrylic prices.
  • Treatment scope: Full-arch temporary bridges cost more than single crowns due to higher laboratory workload.
  • Major medical hubs: Primary destinations for dental tourists include Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara.
  • Package inclusions: Many clinics bundle airport transfers and local transport into the treatment cost.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic with high patient volumes often secures better value for temporary work. Large Istanbul clinics, such as Tower Dental Clinic with 6,000 annual patients, maintain on-site labs. This setup often reduces waiting times and laboratory surcharges. Suave Dental Clinic reports a 99% success rate for aesthetic procedures, confirming high quality. For the best result, select providers like Dental Bosphorus where doctors have 20+ years of experience.

Run and don't even look back! Work from the category of tyap-blunder and you're done, no one is to blame. It is useless to prove something ... One doctor should operate, and as a result, an intern comes and refuses to redo all his jambs. The only plus is the care of the junior medical staff and a good ward.

FAQ about Aesthetic temporary prosthesis in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is an aesthetic temporary prosthesis procedure in Turkey?

An aesthetic temporary prosthesis in Turkey is a provisional dental restoration. It is used immediately after implant surgery or tooth preparation. It provides a functional smile and protects sensitive tissues while permanent crowns, bridges, or veneers are made. Modern Turkish clinics often use digital planning and CAD/CAM technology for same-day placement.

  • Clinical purpose: Protects exposed gums, maintains tooth spacing, and shapes the gumline for final restorations.
  • Procedure timing: Placed during the same session as implants, often using immediate loading techniques.
  • Quality materials: Constructed from high-quality acrylic, composite resins, or German-made zirconium for natural appearance.
  • Quick turnaround: On-site laboratories at Istanbul clinics like YEG Clinic can complete digital designs within 4 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many expect temporaries to be simple plastic. However, Turkish centres like Tower Dental Clinic use Straumann-certified materials for stability. Australian patients should choose a clinic with an integrated laboratory. This allows bite adjustments before flying home, which prevents implant strain.

Patient Consensus: Patients find temporary teeth essential for confidence during the healing phase in Turkey. They suggest confirming the exact type of provisional, such as a bridge or crown. They also recommend checking that the bite feels natural before departure.

How long will I need to wear a temporary prosthesis after dental treatment in Turkey?

Patients typically wear a temporary prosthesis for 3 to 6 months during dental implant treatment. This placeholder allows implants to fuse with the jawbone and gums to heal. For veneers or crowns, patients wear temporaries for 4 to 6 days while permanent restorations are made.

  • Implant healing: Temporaries remain in place for 3–6 months during the osseointegration bone fusion phase.
  • Crowns or veneers: On-site labs at clinics like YEG Clinic can reduce wear to 4 days.
  • Immediate loading: Protocols like All-on-4 use a temporary bridge immediately after surgery for several months.
  • Complex cases: Bone grafting procedures can extend temporary wear beyond the standard 6-month window.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish clinics with on-site CAD/CAM laboratories offer a significant advantage for Australians. Clinics like YEG Clinic can complete permanent smile designs in 4 days. This removes the need for long-term temporaries during single-trip cosmetic procedures. For implants, the 3–6 month gap is physiological but can be managed with telehealth follow-ups.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find temporaries feel bulky initially but appreciate having immediate aesthetics. They suggest planning for adjustments. The prosthesis might need minor smoothing while gums recover in Turkey.

Is the placement and removal of temporary prostheses painful for patients travelling to Turkey?

Prosthesis placement and removal in Turkey is generally fast and causes minimal discomfort. These procedures typically use local anaesthesia to prevent sharp pain. Specialists often fit immediate-load fixed temporaries during the implant surgery visit. This allows patients to function while their gums heal.

  • Pain management: Local anaesthetic numbs the area during fitting and removal.
  • Initial recovery: Soreness or swelling usually occurs only during the first 7–10 days post-surgery.
  • Fast adjustments: Removing or modifying temporary sets often takes about 45 minutes to relieve pressure.
  • Material choice: Zirconia or high-grade polymers are used for aesthetics and comfort during healing.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish dental hubs like Istanbul and İzmir have 390+ clinics specialising in prosthetic workflows. Using CAD/CAM technology, clinics like YEG Clinic can complete digital smile designs in 4 days. This reduces the time patients spend wearing temporaries before receiving permanent teeth.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey describe the placement as uncomfortable pressure rather than true pain. Nights during the first week are often the hardest. However, regular adjustments by the clinical team resolve most rubbing or tightness quickly.

Can I eat normal food while wearing a temporary prosthesis fitted in Turkey?

Eating a normal diet is generally not recommended immediately after receiving a temporary prosthesis in Turkey. These provisional restorations protect healing gums but lack the strength for heavy chewing. Patients should stick to soft foods until the permanent restoration is fitted.

  • Restricted foods: Avoid hard nuts, raw carrots, and crusty bread to prevent dislodging the prosthesis.
  • Sticky items: Skip caramel, toffee, and chewing gum as they can pull the temporary loose.
  • Soft options: Choose scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, yoghurt, and slow-cooked meats initially.
  • Preparation tips: Cut food into small pieces and use gravies or broths to soften textures.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most clinics provide temporaries for aesthetics. Clinics with on-site laboratories, like YEG Clinic in Istanbul, can produce them in four days. This helps Australian patients start their transition period sooner before heading home.

Patient Consensus: Turkish patients recommend smoothies, pasta, and soups during the first week. Most find that introducing firmer foods gradually in small bites works best as healing improves.
