Such an unparalleled, all-encompassing service is unthinkable in Germany!
My rather unexpected decision to have two implants fitted at the age of 76 was immediately put into action by Dentist Gürkan! He gave me excellent advice, then examined my jawbone using an X-ray, and after a further 45 minutes, the two implants were professionally and perfectly in place! His very, very friendly manner and steady hand made this procedure a truly memorable experience! My thanks also go to the entire team: the surgical assistant, the reception staff, as well as the German interpreter and the member of staff who drove me from the office to the Dent-Helen-Clinic and, after the treatment, to the nearest cash machine, and looked after me. Such an unparalleled, all-encompassing service is unthinkable in Germany! Thank you very much for this positive experience and for continuing to keep your patients happy! Everything was very well organised: the hotel, the airport pick-up, and the taxi arrangements for the journey to the clinic and back to the hotel.

The aftercare was excellent
What stuck in my mind most was the moment when the doctor showed me the CT scan and explained the entire treatment plan in detail. He personally carried out the placement of my seven Straumann implants. The aftercare was excellent. They took an active interest in how I was feeling, gave me very clear aftercare instructions and were always available, which was very reassuring. The only additional costs were for the medication, which I bought from a chemist. It’s worth noting that everything I needed to know was explained to me before I arrived at the clinic, so there were no surprises.
A huge thank you to the doctor, the coordinator and the whole clinic staff for their patient and attentive care of their patients. I really do feel lucky to have ended up at this clinic. I missed my flight and lost a whole day. Despite this, they admitted me and carried out everything that had been planned. Right from the start, I really liked this clinic. The staff are warm-hearted and caring people.Thank you also for your help with the translation. For me, there was nothing negative about my first visit. The post-operative instructions were more than detailed. I’m looking forward to the second and final stage. I’d like to believe that I won’t be disappointed going forward either. Bookimed was so helpful and extremely nice. Everything they told me was to the detail accurate. I was very nervous about this because we’d never traveled that far before, just so many unknowns. But from the minute we were picked up from the airport we felt completely comfortable. Even with the language barrier, there were tons of laughs, smiles and hugs. I really didn’t like the way I was treated at the clinic; there’s no organisation, the interpreters are constantly coming and going, and you constantly feel lost because you don’t speak the language. If you’re considering getting a dental implant, I’d advise you first and foremost to prepare yourself for the recovery period. It’s now the second week since my operation, and I’m still avoiding chewing on that side so as not to put any strain on the area, and there’s still a slight redness around the gum. This is normal. I had a Straumann implant fitted. The organisation at the clinic was excellent, and the surgeon and staff worked very professionally and seamlessly, creating a calm and reassuring atmosphere. I have no complaints about their work. I am happy with my choice.

If you’re thinking about getting an implant abroad, my main piece of advice is to ignore the technical jargon and focus on the surgeon's skill. I honestly couldn't tell you the brand or diameter of the post they used, but the way it feels matters more to me anyway. Right now, fifteen days post-op, I have no discomfort when chewing, which was a huge relief during my first few meals. The clinic and staff were genuinely helpful, though I am still dealing with some slight redness around the gums. It isn't painful. While the surgeon was excellent and the facility was clean, the healing process is definitely a journey. If you are planning to do this, my best advice is to just have patience.

Thanks to Bookimed, my first trip was very quick and efficient. Everything was handled very professionally and promptly, with answers to all my questions, as well as coordination of the flight and the timeline of the process itself. My first impression of the clinic was very positive, and the price difference was only due to the lack of sufficient information about the actual condition of my teeth. However, after a 3D scan at the clinic, these issues were promptly resolved on-site, with full respect for my wishes. I am currently using a temporary (artificial) upper jaw, which, by the way, their specialists made very quickly and with absolute quality - I started using it just a week later, when the gum swelling subsided a little, and on the second day, I stopped removing it because it fits very well and does not bother me at all. I hope to continue having only positive experiences in the future. However, there is one more visit to the clinic ahead to complete the entire process.
The clinic has excellent organization of all processes - from arrival, to identifying the problem, and further planning of treatment. This was my first visit, and the first stage of implantation involved preparing the gums for implant placement - they removed (9!) already damaged teeth and those that were no longer reliable. Then they immediately inserted 6 implants. The entire procedure from start to finish took about 2 hours, and everything was conducted at a highly professional level. Everything was very well organized - a 3D scan, consultation with the surgeon, the operation itself, and then an impression of the jaw for the artificial upper jaw, as there were no "native" teeth left. The next day, I flew back home.
So far, during my first visit, I have not observed anything unusual and I sincerely hope that this remains the case going forward.
