If you're researching laser eye surgery, the small details of the process are what matter. I opted for the TransPRK procedure. The clinic's protocol involved operating on each of my eyes on separate days, which I viewed as a careful and methodical approach to the surgery. What I particularly valued was the continuity of care from the surgeon. They personally handled every single one of my checkups, from the first consultation to all the follow-up appointments, ensuring I was seeing the same expert throughout. That was important. As I'm still in the early recovery phase, having a clear aftercare guide has been essential, and the one provided was very comprehensive. From a practical standpoint, every aspect of the service, including the surgeon, the support staff, and the clinic environment, was well-executed and professional.

The recovery so far is better than expected
If you're considering this procedure, my main advice is to bring a physical card for payment. I used Apple Pay, which had a low transaction limit and forced me to make about 20 separate payments to cover the cost. Medically, everything was straightforward. I had lens replacement in both eyes on the same day, and the recovery so far is better than expected. my doctor, who took the time to explain which technique suited my eyes and was very honest about the realistic vision outcome I could anticipate. I must also say a huge thank you to the night nurse ( mirve ) I think was her name she was outstanding and took good care of me . It was reassuring that there were no additional expenses. The one thing to note is that there was little contact from the clinic after I left, but the core service was solid.
I can’t speak highly enough of the treatment from all staff especially mirve who looked after me through the night she came every hour to do my drops until I asked her to come at 6.00 in morning she gave me an extension number incase I needed anything before six , which I did at 5.00am she immediately came to my room and sorted my issue the operation went perfect and after only two days I can see better than I have in the last 18 years 👌👍👌 thank you everyone

Overall I have to give the bookimed team a top rating
The staff at Bookimed from the initial off-set answered all my questions, queries promptly. I was nervous with feelings swaying about my treatment. Upon arrival in Turkey from the airport transfer onwards, I have got to say all doubts were a contrast as to what I witnessed and to the treatment I received. On the first day the hotel staff were welcoming by the way I stayed local to VMH University Hospital Istanbul Besyol, at a budget I chose the World Point Hotel 700 meters away (Ramada Hotel was even closer.) I'm not arguing with what I paid, hygiene, cleanliness, manners, availability of staff, room, I got and witnessed. The transfer to the Hospital l walked with my translator, who put all my nerves and questions I had to bed, I must say I felt alot better. On arrival I was astounded, the smell of freshness, clean, I had to ask the translator how many floors 9 was the reply, Big, busy different ethnicities different cultures, vast array of people from all parts of the world, I felt comfortable. The level of equipment, the Doctors, staff members would not go amiss in any Country. The treatment I received the interaction which you have with the Doctor was of great effect to me as the knowledge about my treatment gained was instrumental in what was to happen. Overall I have to give the bookimed team a top rating. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of surgery abroad of any kind to get in touch with them, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. Thank you.

My entire trip to Istanbul was well organised from the very start: the transfer from the airport to the clinic, the interpreter, and the competence of the staff and the doctor. I really appreciated that the doctor calmly and without any fuss explained what was going to be done and which procedure would be best for me. The interpreter was also very good; overall, the examination and operation went quickly (and painlessly). I highly recommend this clinic. The clinic is excellent – I highly recommend it. The staff take great care of their patients. The doctor is highly competent and provided a great deal of information about the treatment and rehabilitation. After a painless operation, my vision had already improved by the evening. I would like to mention the professionalism and attentiveness of the consultant Liana - she did a great job! I was also pleasantly surprised by the clinic's service. I was met at the airport at night, picked up from the hotel in the morning and brought to the clinic. Payment was quick and in 20 minutes I was accompanied by an interpreter who was a real professional. In just two hours I had a full examination, and already at 14:00 the operation took place. I bore it easily - I was able to go for a walk in the evening. My eyesight started to improve, although it still takes time to fully stabilise. I am very satisfied and definitely recommend Bookimed and this clinic

My impressions of the trip were extremely positive. From the organisation of the trip with the manager Ekaterina, to the transfer to the airport. I had the operation on the day of my arrival. I was accompanied by an interpreter at all stages. The procedure itself was quick and painless. The attending doctor Dr İBRAHİM YAŞAR was very pleased. Competent specialist, pleasant and communicative. After the operation I had two more days for recovery. The ward was very comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. 3 meals a day. In general, I can safely recommend this clinic for such procedures, the attending doctor and Bookimrd service.
Competence of doctors, attentiveness of staff. Work of the interpreter. Quick solution of all organisational issues.
Slight delay in receiving invoices and documentation. Minor errors in completion.

I went to Veni Vidi Goz Antalya for a laser eye surgery. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the surgery due to my thin cornea. However I had a great experience interacting with the staff. I got a detailed explanation on why I couldn’t do the surgery as well as possible alternatives. Dr Ugur Balci and Ania Sebai were amazing. I’m still considering the alternative option I was offered and hope to go back to the clinic when I eventually make a decision.

I liked everything except the meeting at the airport, we waited more than an hour for the transfer. And the clinic, staff, treatment and support were at the highest level.
Translator Tetiana helped with any questions, even when I needed medicine for my throat, she called a pharmacist who brought the medicine directly to the ward. When I needed sunglasses (after correction, they were needed), she took me to the optician and helped with the selection and translation.
