How Much Does Upper arm liposuction Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Upper arm liposuction in Thailand typically costs from AUD $2,756 / ฿A93,710 to AUD $3,046 / ฿A103,574. The final price depends on the chosen technique, such as VASER or BodyJet, the clinic's location, and the surgeon's experience. In Australia, this procedure costs AUD $10,154 / ฿A345,246 on average, meaning patients can save around 71% by travelling to hubs like Bangkok, Phuket, or Pattaya. Standard inclusions often cover surgeon fees, anaesthetic, and post-operative medications.

  • Triple S technique: often involves combining VASER, BodyJet, and BodyTite for skin tightening and fat removal.
  • VASER liposuction: usually costs more than traditional methods but uses ultrasound for smoother, more precise results.
  • Multiple areas: often reduces the per-area cost if arms are treated alongside the back or chest.
  • Clinic tier: JCI-accredited hospitals in Bangkok may cost 15–20% more than smaller regional clinics.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic with high patient volumes and international accreditations often provides the best value. Asia Cosmetic Hospital, for example, is JCI-accredited and offers packages around A$2,800 that include the Triple S technique. Many clinics are highly experienced with Australian patients, such as ID Clinic Bangkok and B.Care Medical Center. Some even offer recovery-enhancing extras, like the free light therapy sessions provided at Charismma Clinic.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 176 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

The surgery is performed at the clinic not at a hospital which concerned me (were they prepared if something went wrong), the rooms opened up to the front desk where people would come for appointments and the toilet was across reception. I felt I didn't have much privacy and was very exposed. Nurses would not always come especially at night when I needed assistance to the toilet. I would be waiting at my hotel for a car and they would have forgotten to send one so the organisation level was not very good. It wasn't a very friendly/caring environment i felt. The communication was very poor too, there was one lady there that spoke English and she never smiled it just didnt feel good. I spoke to the doctor very briefly on surgery day and then he never spoke to me again. I wouldnt go back, ive had surgery in Thailand before and had a far better experience.
The nurses who cleaned my bandages and helped with my compression garments were lovely.
Room quality, upfront about procedures being done in a small operating room at a small clinic not hospital (was about 10 steps from reception), assistance and attentiveness (I didnt get fed after surgery i had to ask for food and they gave me boiled rice, then they also forgot about my breakfast), needs massive improvement in communication and organisation. More support and care. Doctor follow up post surgery should be done.
About Bookimed service
My experience with Bookimed prior to surgery was okay but I was really disappointed with the clinic having had it recommended by Bookimed. There should have been alot I should have been told about prior regarding the clinic and I voiced what was happening but I dont think much will be done about it but I just hope noone else has a similar experience as mine.

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

Just trust them
What really stood out was sitting with my doctor before the procedure to draw the beard shape together. That personal approach made a huge difference. Honestly, so far I'm feeling better than expected. The procedure was done using the FUE technique. The clinic’s support afterward has been great; they provided a clear aftercare guide and have stayed in touch with me. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had paid. My advice for a future patient? Just trust them. They know what they are doing!
Excellent staff. Really took care of me. Wjile the full effects of my procedure will take several months to show. I'm very pleased so far of the outcome. They are very accommodating and generous with their time
Some language issues but some of the staff speak English well enough that it really isn't a problem

What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery
I was thinking that going into a revision was getting unrealistic promises. What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery. It gave me confidence. My alarplasty was done to correct an asymmetric nose, and while I'm still in the early stages of healing, it’s really too early to tell what the final outcome will be. The staff were supportive, providing a clear aftercare guide for my recovery at home. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had already paid the clinic.

the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable
My one-off operation went very well and the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable, apart from a few minor language issues. However, you should be prepared for a few additional costs that were not included in the original price: we had to pay for the transfers between the hotel and the clinic ourselves, and the wound care supplies were insufficient, which amounted to a mid-double-digit sum in total. My most important tip for future patients would be to make absolutely sure you clarify any dietary requirements (vegetarian/halal/...) with the clinic before you arrive.
The coordination team is very dedicated and always available. The staff are consistently very friendly and go out of their way to help. A very comprehensive package with extensive, thorough preliminary examinations and no hidden costs. A superbly equipped single room, including a sofa bed for an accompanying person.
Contrary to what was advertised, there was no interpreter. The nursing staff, in particular, did not always have a good enough command of English to explain everything clearly and in detail. The consultation with the surgeon was less detailed than expected. It wasn’t always entirely clear which services were included in the package and which weren’t (particularly transfers) – but there were no major hidden costs. Hospital food/light meals after operations are always a challenge, and perhaps even more so in a different cultural context – I wasn’t asked about any specific dietary preferences, so anyone who absolutely needs vegetarian, vegan, kosher or halal food should definitely clarify this in advance; in my opinion, the hospital bed was very hard, which is significantly more uncomfortable when you can’t move around much

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started
The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started. He took the time to draw the hairline with me and clearly explained the entire FUE extraction and implantation process, which helped manage my expectations for the 2,000-3,000 graft procedure. Now in the early stages of healing, I'm feeling about as expected. The clinic has stayed in touch, which is good. Overall, it was a solid experience with the surgeon and staff, and I appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I was quoted.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

FAQ about Upper arm liposuction in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is upper arm liposuction in Thailand considered a weight-loss procedure?

Upper arm liposuction in Thailand is a body-contouring procedure, not a weight-loss treatment. Surgeons remove stubborn fat pockets to reshape the arms for a more toned silhouette. Ideal candidates are near their target weight. This is because the surgery focuses on appearance rather than overall scale weight.

  • Procedure focus: Removes localised fat deposits unresponsive to diet or exercise to refine arm shape.
  • Techniques available: Surgeons use VASER, BodyJet, and BodyTite to break down fat and tighten surrounding skin.
  • Patient eligibility: Best suited for those with good skin elasticity and stabilised body weight before surgery.
  • Clinical safety: High-volume centres like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain JCI accreditation for surgical standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While basic liposuction costs from $1,900, multi-technology "Triple S" packages at JCI-accredited facilities offer superior skin tightening. Choosing a surgeon like Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj, who has performed 15,000+ procedures, reduces the likelihood of loose skin after fat removal.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the experience in Thailand improves how clothing fits rather than significantly dropping their scale weight. They recommend stabilising weight beforehand for the most predictable and smooth contouring results.

Can I have upper arm liposuction in Thailand if I have significant saggy skin?

Liposuction alone is generally unsuitable for patients with significant saggy skin. While it removes fat, it does not tighten loose tissue. In Thailand, specialists often suggest brachioplasty, or an arm lift. This removes excess skin alongside liposuction for a contoured result.

  • Skin laxity: Removing fat beneath sagging skin can make the hang more prominent.
  • Combination therapy: Surgeons may combine VASER or BodyTite with skin excision for better results.
  • Surgical scar: Brachioplasty involves a visible scar along the inner arm to remove skin.
  • Candidacy check: Specialists like Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj at Asia Cosmetic Hospital evaluate skin elasticity first.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often use the Triple S technique. It layers VASER, BodyJet, and BodyTite to increase fat removal and help skin contraction. However, for severe sagging, these devices cannot replace the results of a surgical arm lift.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand suggest getting a written assessment with photos before flying. This confirms if they need an excision. Most found that being honest about skin laxity led to more realistic expectations.

What techniques are used for upper arm liposuction in Thailand?

Thai clinics use energy-assisted techniques like VASER, BodyJet, and BodyTite to contour upper arms. These methods allow surgeons to break down fat precisely while protecting surrounding tissue. Leading Bangkok facilities often combine these technologies for both fat reduction and skin tightening.

  • Triple S technique: Combines VASER, BodyJet, and BodyTite for fat removal and skin tightening.
  • VASER liposuction: Uses ultrasound energy to emulsify fat cells for smoother, more precise contouring.
  • BodyJet technology: Employs water-assisted pulses to gently dislodge fat, reducing trauma and bruising.
  • BodyTite system: Delivers radiofrequency energy during suction to firm skin and prevent sagging.
  • Tumescent approach: Infiltrates a saline solution to shrink vessels and aid fat removal safely.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows some clinics, like Asia Cosmetic Hospital, now offer the Triple S technique. This specific combination of three different energy devices targets fat and skin laxity simultaneously. It is a more robust approach than single-device procedures typically found in Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate how surgeons prioritise conservative shaping to avoid uneven results. They often find that energy-assisted methods lead to less discomfort during the immediate recovery period.

What is the typical recovery process for upper arm liposuction in Thailand?

Recovery from upper arm liposuction in Thailand takes about 9 days of local stay for initial healing. Patients wear compression garments for 4–6 weeks to support skin retraction. Final contour results typically emerge between 3 and 6 months after surgery.

  • Compression garments: Wear specific arm sleeves for 4–6 weeks to minimise swelling and bruising.
  • Initial activity: Resume light walking immediately. Avoid strenuous arm movements for several weeks.
  • Hospital stay: Varies from no overnight stay to 1 day at Asia Cosmetic Hospital.
  • Telehealth support: Multiple clinics provide video or text consultations for follow-up once back in Australia.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Some Bangkok centres like Charismma Clinic include light therapy sessions in their recovery protocol. This treatment helps reduce inflammation and speeds up tissue healing. Patients should look for these inclusions to help reduce initial swelling.

Patient Consensus: Expect significant swelling and bruising in the first 2 weeks. International patients find that having a dedicated coordinator and private recovery rooms helps create a more comfortable experience.

What is generally included in an upper arm liposuction package in Thailand?

Upper arm liposuction packages in Thailand generally include surgeon fees, anaesthesia, and the use of the theatre. Most bundles also cover pre-operative consultations, basic medical screenings, and post-surgical follow-up. Leading clinics, such as Asia Cosmetic Hospital, often add telehealth support and clinic transfers for international patients.

  • Surgical fees: Covers the lead plastic surgeon and the entire surgical nursing team.
  • Technique variety: Packages often use VASER, BodyJet, or BodyTite for fat removal and skin tightening.
  • Anaesthetist services: Includes general anaesthesia or sedation administered by a qualified professional during theatre.
  • Telehealth access: Many bundles include video or text consultations for pre-travel planning and recovery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many think all-inclusive means everything is covered. However, in Thailand, accommodation is rarely included. Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Charismma Clinic packages typically exclude hotel costs. Some providers like Cosmacare Clinic may bundle a 5-day hotel stay. Always confirm the stay duration in writing before booking your flights.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand often receive an all-in price. This covers everything from surgery through to follow-up. Get a full list of inclusions in writing. Check if compression garments and medications are included.

How much fat can be safely removed during upper arm liposuction in Thailand?

Surgeons in Thailand typically remove 225ml to 450ml of fat per arm. International safety standards limit total fat extraction to 4–5 litres per session to prevent fluid loss. Board-certified specialists perform these procedures at accredited facilities like Asia Cosmetic Hospital.

  • Volume limits: Removal usually stays under 500ml per arm to maintain smooth skin contours.
  • Safety caps: Sessions exceeding 5 litres require overnight monitoring in a fully accredited hospital.
  • VASER technology: Ultrasound systems break down fat while sparing nerves and blood vessels.
  • Combined techniques: Specialists often use BodyJet and BodyTite to simultaneously tighten loose skin.
  • Clinic standards: Leading centres like Bumrungrad International Hospital maintain JCI accreditation for safety.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics offer a 1-day hospital stay. However, Bookimed data shows several Bangkok packages include up to 5 days of hotel accommodation. This longer stay helps international patients. It allows the surgeon to monitor local swelling before the flight home.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand often report that surgeons prioritise shaping the arm over removing all fat. This conservative approach helps avoid lumps. It also ensures a natural look as swelling subsides over several weeks.
