How Much Does Thigh lift Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Thigh lift surgery in Thailand typically costs from AUD $2,901 / ฿A98,642 to AUD $5,512 / ฿A187,419. Prices fluctuate based on the surgical complexity, the specific incision technique required, and the hospital's accreditation level. In Australia, patients often face average costs of AUD $18,133 / ฿A616,511, meaning choosing a Thai medical centre can lead to savings of approximately 77%. Standard quotes usually include the surgeon fee, anaesthetic, and initial post-operative garments.

  • Surgical technique: Inner thigh lifts generally cost less than complex circumferential procedures.
  • Incision type: Vertical incisions often carry a different price point than groin-only techniques.
  • Advanced technology: Adding VASER liposuction to the procedure typically increases the base price by 10–30%.
  • Regional location: Prices remain competitive across major hubs including Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While luxury hospitals like Bumrungrad International offer premium care, mid-tier clinics provide exceptional value with high success rates. Australian patients are frequent visitors to B.Care Medical Center, which accommodates roughly 70 international patients annually. Choosing JCI-accredited facilities ensures international quality standards are met while maintaining significant cost advantages.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 194 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I chose not to use the services at all. I was working with book med for months looked at the pictures of the hospital, but when I got there and actually saw the hospital, it was dirty. The room where you take. The pictures looks dirty unorganized so what would the operating room look like? I pay the consultant fee, but the doctor never touched me. Never put his hands on me. Just looked at my pictures and I'm in the room so you need to fix that.
About Bookimed service
Tiffany and Whitington, the coordinators were fine. Got all the information. It was the dirtiness of the hospital and the unprofessionalism of the doctor. He looks sloppy like he didn't have time like I said before he never even touched me so I paid a consultation fee for a conversation about nothing, not happy

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

Just trust them
What really stood out was sitting with my doctor before the procedure to draw the beard shape together. That personal approach made a huge difference. Honestly, so far I'm feeling better than expected. The procedure was done using the FUE technique. The clinic’s support afterward has been great; they provided a clear aftercare guide and have stayed in touch with me. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had paid. My advice for a future patient? Just trust them. They know what they are doing!
Excellent staff. Really took care of me. Wjile the full effects of my procedure will take several months to show. I'm very pleased so far of the outcome. They are very accommodating and generous with their time
Some language issues but some of the staff speak English well enough that it really isn't a problem

What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery
I was thinking that going into a revision was getting unrealistic promises. What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery. It gave me confidence. My alarplasty was done to correct an asymmetric nose, and while I'm still in the early stages of healing, it’s really too early to tell what the final outcome will be. The staff were supportive, providing a clear aftercare guide for my recovery at home. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had already paid the clinic.

the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable
My one-off operation went very well and the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable, apart from a few minor language issues. However, you should be prepared for a few additional costs that were not included in the original price: we had to pay for the transfers between the hotel and the clinic ourselves, and the wound care supplies were insufficient, which amounted to a mid-double-digit sum in total. My most important tip for future patients would be to make absolutely sure you clarify any dietary requirements (vegetarian/halal/...) with the clinic before you arrive.
The coordination team is very dedicated and always available. The staff are consistently very friendly and go out of their way to help. A very comprehensive package with extensive, thorough preliminary examinations and no hidden costs. A superbly equipped single room, including a sofa bed for an accompanying person.
Contrary to what was advertised, there was no interpreter. The nursing staff, in particular, did not always have a good enough command of English to explain everything clearly and in detail. The consultation with the surgeon was less detailed than expected. It wasn’t always entirely clear which services were included in the package and which weren’t (particularly transfers) – but there were no major hidden costs. Hospital food/light meals after operations are always a challenge, and perhaps even more so in a different cultural context – I wasn’t asked about any specific dietary preferences, so anyone who absolutely needs vegetarian, vegan, kosher or halal food should definitely clarify this in advance; in my opinion, the hospital bed was very hard, which is significantly more uncomfortable when you can’t move around much

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started
The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started. He took the time to draw the hairline with me and clearly explained the entire FUE extraction and implantation process, which helped manage my expectations for the 2,000-3,000 graft procedure. Now in the early stages of healing, I'm feeling about as expected. The clinic has stayed in touch, which is good. Overall, it was a solid experience with the surgeon and staff, and I appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I was quoted.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

FAQ about Thigh lift in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What questions should I ask a plastic surgeon in Thailand during a virtual consultation for a thigh lift?

During a virtual consultation for a thigh lift in Thailand, ask about board certifications. Check for membership with the Society of Plastic Surgeons of Thailand or ISAPS. Request an incision map for your specific anatomy. Confirm stay requirements of 10–14 days to prevent deep vein thrombosis before flying home.

  • Technique selection: Ask if a crescentic or vertical lift suits your skin laxity best.
  • Clinical credentials: Verify if the hospital holds Joint Commission International (JCI) or ISO accreditation.
  • Surgeon experience: Confirm how many of the 3,000+ procedures the surgeon has personally performed.
  • Risk management: Ask about protocols for drain removal and wound dehiscence during recovery.
  • Australian training: Ask if the specialist has trained at facilities like Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International and Asia Cosmetic Hospital serve thousands of international patients annually. This includes many Australians. While thigh lift costs range from $2,000 to $3,800, the real value lies in the medical supervision. High-volume centres often include an anaesthetist and a cardiologist to monitor your safety.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend confirming your weight is stable enough for surgery. They suggest requesting photos of previous results on similar body types. Most appreciate hospitals that coordinate virtual follow-ups. They also prefer those providing English surgical plans for their Australian GPs.

Who is an ideal candidate for a thigh lift in Thailand?

Ideal candidates for a thigh lift in Thailand are at a steady weight. They have significant loose skin or stubborn fat. These patients must be non-smokers in good health. They should prepare for a 14 to 21-day stay for safe monitoring and healing.

  • Weight stability: Maintain a steady weight for 6+ months for lasting contouring results.
  • Physical health: Pass clearances including blood tests, X-rays, and EKGs at JCI-accredited Bangkok hospitals.
  • Tissue requirements: Present clear skin laxity or sagging, often caused by major weight loss.
  • Travel flexibility: Dedicate 2–3 weeks in Thailand for surgical recovery and essential wound checks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Australian patients often prefer surgeons with international training. Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee International Hospital trained at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Such surgeons understand Australian clinical expectations well. This familiarity helps communication and matches the care standards patients expect back home.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the trade-off between visible scars and a tighter contour worthwhile. They suggest staying long enough for early follow-ups. Many suggest having someone assist with mobility during the first week. Most report relief from chafing and better clothing fit after their weight loss journey.

What is the typical recovery timeline for a thigh lift performed in Thailand?

Thigh lift recovery in Thailand requires 10 to 14 days of initial healing before flying home. Most patients return to light duties within 3 to 4 weeks. Full results and scar maturation take 6 to 12 months. Thai clinics typically bundle follow-up care within the first fortnight.

  • Hospital stay: Expect 1–2 nights in a Bangkok facility for immediate monitoring after surgery.
  • Initial recovery: Significant swelling and bruising persist during the first 14 days in Thailand.
  • Mobility limits: Avoid long walks or leg stretching for at least 4 weeks.
  • Exercise resumption: Strenuous activity or heavy lifting must wait until 6 weeks after surgery.
  • Compression garments: Wear medical-grade garments for 6 weeks to control swelling and support tissue.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International Hospital serve over 450,000 patients annually. While surgery start prices are $2,000, savings often reach 71% compared to Australia. Choosing a hospital with JCI accreditation ensures safety standards match private Australian theatres.

Patient Consensus: The first fortnight in Thailand involves intense tightness and limited mobility. This makes in-destination support essential. Patients found that resting strictly for 2 weeks made the long-haul flight home more manageable.

How long must I plan to stay in Thailand following a thigh lift procedure?

Patients should plan to stay in Thailand for 10 to 14 days after a thigh lift. This window covers the 1 to 2 nights in hospital and mandatory follow-up appointments for suture removal. It also provides recovery time to reduce deep vein thrombosis (DVT) risks before flying back to Australia.

  • Hospitalisation stage: Surgeons generally require a 1–2 night stay for immediate monitoring.
  • Initial recovery: Rest at a hotel for 5–7 days with legs elevated.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons typically remove stitches between day 7 and day 10.
  • Flight clearance: Most clinics issue medical certificates for travel after the final check.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International Hospital or Bumrungrad employ surgeons with significant international experience. Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee even trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Choosing specialists familiar with Australia can help coordinate your post-op care more effectively with your GP back home.

Patient Consensus: Booking a 14-day stay in Thailand provides a comfortable buffer for managing swelling and drain removal. Patients suggest staying near the clinic to simplify transport and ensure plenty of rest before navigating a long flight home.

What are the main types of thigh lift procedures available in Thailand?

Thailand offers several thigh lift techniques including medial, vertical, mini, bilateral, and spiral lifts. Surgeons in Bangkok and Pattaya often combine these surgeries with Vaser liposuction to refine leg contours. These procedures help address skin laxity following massive weight loss or natural ageing.

  • Inner medial lift: Targets loose skin on the upper inner thigh using groin crease incisions.
  • Vertical thigh lift: Removes significant sagging extending to the knee via a T-shaped incision.
  • Mini thigh lift: Uses shorter groin fold incisions for patients with mild upper thigh looseness.
  • Outer bilateral lift: Reshapes the front and outer leg, frequently wrapping around the hip area.
  • Spiral thigh lift: Provides 360-degree contouring for the entire lower limb through a curving incision.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often separate quotes for surgical skin removal from Vaser liposuction or Renuvion skin tightening. Major Bangkok centres like Yanhee or Sikarin Hospital can serve over 250,000 patients annually. Combining these technologies is standard for smoother results without additional major scarring.

Patient Consensus: Patients found vertical lifts provide the most dramatic contouring after weight loss. However, medial lifts are better for hiding scars. Many suggest checking if liposuction is included to help the final leg shape look natural.

Can a thigh lift be combined with liposuction in Thailand?

Thigh lifts and liposuction are frequently combined in Thailand to achieve better lower body contouring. Surgeons use liposuction to remove stubborn fat and surgical excision to tighten loose skin. This dual approach gives smoother results. Liposuction alone cannot correct the sagging skin often found after significant weight loss.

  • Surgical approach: Surgeons combine liposuction for fat removal with skin excision to firm the thighs.
  • Clinical results: Facilities like Wansiri Hospital report 99% success rates for combined body sculpting procedures.
  • Accredited safety: Major centres like Yanhee International Hospital maintain JCI accreditation for international safety standards.
  • Expert surgeons: Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee Hospital brings specific reconstruction training from Melbourne, Australia.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics excel at high-volume body contouring. Major hospitals serve up to 1,000,000 patients annually. While a thigh lift costs from $2,000 to $3,800, combining it with liposuction typically offers better value. Australian patients save up to 77% compared to the $12,500 average cost in Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend confirming scar placement and drainage plans during consultations. They suggest checking that surgeons have extensive experience with international cases. Patients also prefer clinics that offer clear telehealth follow-up support.
