How Much Does PRP Hair Loss Treatment Cost in Thailand in AUD?

PRP hair loss treatment in Thailand typically ranges from AUD $431 / ฿A14,666 to AUD $575 / ฿A19,554. Prices fluctuate based on the specific technology used for platelet separation and the clinic location. Patients from Australia save approximately 80% compared to local rates, where the procedure costs AUD $2,157 / ฿A73,328 on average. These professional packages generally include a clinical consultation and the injection procedure using specialised tubes.

  • Single PRP session: typically runs between 20% to 30% more for one-off appointments.
  • Multi-session packages: often provide 15–20% savings when booking three or four treatments at once.
  • Advanced separation technology: such as Angel or Regenlab systems, adds a 25% price premium.
  • Combined therapies: bundling PRP with mesotherapy or laser treatments increases the overall package price.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing clinics in medical hubs like Bangkok or Phuket offers high value for Australians. Menness Wellness Clinic provides premium tube packages for approximately A$560, involving specialists like Dr. Siwat Serirodom. Larger facilities like Navamin9 Hospital, accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), handle over 500,000 patients annually. This volume allows even high-tier hospital departments to maintain competitive pricing for advanced regenerative therapies.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 157 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

The team followed through on every detail discussed
Sitting in the consultation room while the surgeon explained the precise use of 50-100 million umbilical cord stem cells gave me a clear sense of the technical path ahead. Fifteen days after the treatment, I am already noticing some improvement in my overall physical state. The application was smooth, and I experienced no injection site reactions or inflammatory flare-ups afterward. Recovery is just beginning. Every interaction with the clinic staff was handled with professional efficiency, ensuring that the logistical side of the medical travel was as controlled as the procedure itself. It is important to stay patient during this early window while the body starts to respond to the cells. The team followed through on every detail discussed.

If you're travelling to Bangkok and need fast and quality care, I would highly recommend using Bookimed to set up an appointment and going to B
Everything went so smoothly and I was well taken care of upon arrival. B. Care Medical Center is very clean and beautiful. The medical team were very professional and thorough and warm and welcoming. Prices were very reasonable and they went above and beyond to give me more treatment than I had asked for. Bookimed was also very easy to use, response time was quick and easy and all my questions were answered promptly. If you're travelling to Bangkok and need fast and quality care, I would highly recommend using Bookimed to set up an appointment and going to B. Care Medical Center for your medical needs.

It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about PRP Hair Loss Treatment in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are there any side effects to Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair loss treatment in Thailand?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy in Thailand is a low-risk procedure. It uses the patient's own blood to stimulate hair follicles. Common side effects include temporary scalp tenderness and mild swelling. Redness and bruising at injection sites may also occur. These minor issues usually resolve within 24 to 48 hours without medical intervention.

  • Scalp discomfort: Mild pain or tenderness occurs during and immediately after injections.
  • Forehead swelling: Temporary fluid build-up may appear 2–3 days after treating the crown.
  • Mild headaches: Some patients report a tight or achy feeling following scalp injections.
  • Infection risk: Rare but possible. Clinics like Navamin9 Hospital maintain JCI-accredited sterile environments.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often achieve better results by combining PRP with mesotherapy or exosome therapy. Dr. Bee at Plenary Wellness uses an FDA-certified system for this combination. This approach can improve outcomes. However, patients should expect slightly more scalp sensitivity than with PRP alone.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that while injections can be uncomfortable, side effects usually disappear within two days. Many suggest confirming numbing protocols beforehand. They also recommend bringing a hat to wear after the session.

When will I see results after PRP therapy for hair loss in Thailand?

Results from PRP therapy for hair loss in Thailand typically appear within 3 to 6 months. This timeline starts after beginning a series of sessions. Many patients notice decreased shedding after 1 month. Visible thickening and increased hair density usually emerge between 4 and 6 months.

  • Early indication: Patients often see significantly reduced hair shedding within 30 days of the first session.
  • Regrowth phase: Fine baby hairs typically begin to emerge between 2 and 3 months.
  • Density improvement: Noticeable thickening and increased scalp coverage generally peak between 6 and 12 months.
  • Session schedule: Most specialists recommend 3 to 4 initial sessions spaced exactly one month apart.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics frequently combine PRP with mesotherapy or exosome treatments to speed up results. Dr. Bee Thamonwan at Plenary Wellness uses FDA-certified systems for these combinations. Data shows these protocols often lead to higher patient satisfaction than standard PRP alone.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate the streamlined appointment process. Many note that clear photo documentation helps track the gradual progress of their hair density improvements.

How many PRP hair loss treatment sessions are required in Thailand to achieve results?

Most patients in Thailand need an initial course of 3 to 4 PRP sessions. This helps achieve visible improvements in hair thickness and scalp health. Treatments are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions are then recommended every 6 to 12 months.

  • Initial phase: Requires 3 to 4 sessions to reduce thinning and stimulate follicles.
  • Typical spacing: Sessions are scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks for best results.
  • Maintenance schedule: Booster sessions every 6 to 12 months help sustain hair density.
  • Result timeline: Visible improvements usually appear after 2 to 4 sessions as shedding decreases.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often improve results by combining technologies. Specialist Dr. Bee Thamonwan at Plenary Wellness in Phuket combines PRP with mesotherapy. This dual approach delivers growth factors and nutrients simultaneously via FDA-certified systems. One-off treatments rarely work. Look for packages that bundle 3 or more sessions to save on costs.

Patient Consensus: PRP in Thailand is a slow-burn therapy. Reduced shedding is usually the first sign of success. Patients find that planning a longer trip or multiple visits is necessary for the full course.

Is PRP hair loss treatment painful when performed in Thailand?

PRP hair loss treatment in Thailand is generally tolerable with minimal discomfort. Specialists use topical numbing creams or local anaesthesia to manage pain during scalp injections. Post-procedure sensitivity typically subsides within 48 hours. This makes it a manageable non-surgical option for hair restoration.

  • Numbing protocols: Clinics use medical-grade numbing creams or local anaesthesia to dull injection sensations.
  • Scalp sensitivity: Discomfort typically feels like quick pinpricks or a mild burning sensation.
  • Anaesthesia options: JCI-accredited facilities like Navamin9 Hospital provide pain management under strict safety standards.
  • Recovery phase: Mild swelling and redness are common but usually resolve within 1–2 days.
  • Treatment comfort: Patients often find subsequent sessions easier as they become familiar with the process.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Australian patients may find clear communication at Harmony Life Center. Specialists like Dr Pichayanith Sroysuwan have lived and trained in Perth. This familiarity with Australian English helps clinicians address patient anxiety and explain pain management steps.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand describe the scalp injections as manageable quick pinpricks. These sensations end immediately after the session. Most find the experience tolerable, especially when clinics provide thorough numbing and a slow injection technique.

What is included in a typical PRP hair loss treatment package in Thailand?

Typical PRP hair loss treatment packages in Thailand include a specialist consultation and blood collection. They also cover centrifugation to concentrate platelets and scalp injections. Premium options often bundle therapies like mesotherapy or low-level laser treatment. Costs generally range from $300 to $400.

  • Package components: Covers consultation, blood draw, processing, and scalp injection sessions.
  • Combination therapies: Frequent bundling with hair mesotherapy for better follicular health.
  • Certification standards: Clinics use FDA-certified systems to reach high platelet concentration.
  • Multi-session courses: Many providers offer 3–5 sessions as a complete restoration program.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Single sessions are available, but multi-session courses offer the best value. Data shows clinics like STC Clinic often combine PRP with growth factor therapies. This approach typically saves up to 80% compared to the $1,500 average cost in Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate the thorough blood processing steps. They also like combining injections with mesotherapy for better coverage. Many suggest asking for a written breakdown of included sessions and follow-up reviews.

How long does a PRP hair loss treatment session take in Thailand?

A single PRP hair loss treatment session in Thailand typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. This outpatient procedure involves a blood draw and centrifuge processing to concentrate platelets. It finishes with scalp injections. Most patients return to their daily activities immediately after leaving the clinic.

  • Processing time: Centrifuging blood samples takes 10–15 minutes to isolate growth factors.
  • Scalp injections: The actual injection phase is brief and usually lasts 10–20 minutes.
  • Prep work: Appointments include cleaning the scalp and applying local anaesthetic when needed.
  • Added therapies: Sessions involving mesotherapy or red light therapy may reach 75 minutes.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from 150+ Thai clinics shows two distinct session types. Standard PRP sessions focus purely on injections. Premium packages often integrate mesotherapy or FDA-certified systems. These sessions provide better scalp coverage but rarely exceed the 60-minute mark.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand describe PRP as a quick clinic visit rather than a major procedure. Many noted the injection phase was very fast. They also appreciated the same-day outpatient convenience.

Is Thailand a suitable destination for PRP hair loss treatment?

Thailand is a popular destination for PRP hair loss treatment. It offers high-standard regenerative medicine and specialist care. Clinics in Bangkok and Phuket provide Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy using FDA-certified systems to stimulate hair follicles. Patients benefit from board-certified specialists and savings of up to 80% compared to Australian costs.

  • Specialist expertise: Surgeons like Dr. Ariyapon Lortaraprasert have performed 10,000+ hair restoration procedures.
  • Clinical standards: JCI-accredited facilities like Navamin9 Hospital follow high-quality care and sterile technical protocols.
  • Effective techniques: Clinics offer PRP combined with mesotherapy or exosome therapy for better scalp health.
  • Cost efficiency: Treatments start from $300 compared to the $1,500 average in Australia.

Bookimed Expert Insight: A single session costs around A$400 to A$600. However, results usually require 3–4 sessions. Leading Bangkok clinics often serve 1,000+ international patients annually. Choosing a clinic that treats many Australians helps ensure staff understand follow-up expectations.

Patient Consensus: Visitors in Thailand find PRP works best alongside hair transplants. Patients suggest confirming the plasma system and doctor availability before starting treatment.
