How Much Does Nipple reduction Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Nipple reduction in Thailand typically costs from AUD $1,869 / ฿A63,551 to AUD $2,876 / ฿A97,770. The final price depends on whether the procedure involves standard reduction, inverted nipple correction, or areola resizing. In Australia, patients often pay around AUD $6,039 / ฿A205,317, meaning those travelling to Thailand can save approximately 62%. These packages often include surgeon fees, local anaesthetic, pre-operative blood tests, and airport transfers.

  • Inverted nipple surgery: Typically costs 15–20% more than standard reduction due to higher surgical complexity.
  • Combined procedures: Bundling nipple reduction with areola reduction or a breast lift often reduces the total per-procedure cost.
  • Clinic accreditation: Facilities with JCI accreditation generally charge a 15–30% premium for meeting international safety standards.
  • Regional hubs: Most specialised procedures occur in Bangkok, though major hubs like Phuket and Pattaya also offer competitive rates.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Australian patients frequently choose Bangkok clinics due to the high volume of international cases and specialised expertise. For instance, Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul has performed over 20,000 operations, providing a level of experience that is difficult to find locally. Many facilities, such as Asia Cosmetic Hospital, offer all-inclusive packages around A$2,000 that cover essential medical tests and VIP transfers.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 62 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

Just trust them
What really stood out was sitting with my doctor before the procedure to draw the beard shape together. That personal approach made a huge difference. Honestly, so far I'm feeling better than expected. The procedure was done using the FUE technique. The clinic’s support afterward has been great; they provided a clear aftercare guide and have stayed in touch with me. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had paid. My advice for a future patient? Just trust them. They know what they are doing!
Excellent staff. Really took care of me. Wjile the full effects of my procedure will take several months to show. I'm very pleased so far of the outcome. They are very accommodating and generous with their time
Some language issues but some of the staff speak English well enough that it really isn't a problem

What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery
I was thinking that going into a revision was getting unrealistic promises. What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery. It gave me confidence. My alarplasty was done to correct an asymmetric nose, and while I'm still in the early stages of healing, it’s really too early to tell what the final outcome will be. The staff were supportive, providing a clear aftercare guide for my recovery at home. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had already paid the clinic.
Caring nurses & Dr. was nice

the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable
My one-off operation went very well and the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable, apart from a few minor language issues. However, you should be prepared for a few additional costs that were not included in the original price: we had to pay for the transfers between the hotel and the clinic ourselves, and the wound care supplies were insufficient, which amounted to a mid-double-digit sum in total. My most important tip for future patients would be to make absolutely sure you clarify any dietary requirements (vegetarian/halal/...) with the clinic before you arrive.
The coordination team is very dedicated and always available. The staff are consistently very friendly and go out of their way to help. A very comprehensive package with extensive, thorough preliminary examinations and no hidden costs. A superbly equipped single room, including a sofa bed for an accompanying person.
Contrary to what was advertised, there was no interpreter. The nursing staff, in particular, did not always have a good enough command of English to explain everything clearly and in detail. The consultation with the surgeon was less detailed than expected. It wasn’t always entirely clear which services were included in the package and which weren’t (particularly transfers) – but there were no major hidden costs. Hospital food/light meals after operations are always a challenge, and perhaps even more so in a different cultural context – I wasn’t asked about any specific dietary preferences, so anyone who absolutely needs vegetarian, vegan, kosher or halal food should definitely clarify this in advance; in my opinion, the hospital bed was very hard, which is significantly more uncomfortable when you can’t move around much

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started
The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started. He took the time to draw the hairline with me and clearly explained the entire FUE extraction and implantation process, which helped manage my expectations for the 2,000-3,000 graft procedure. Now in the early stages of healing, I'm feeling about as expected. The clinic has stayed in touch, which is good. Overall, it was a solid experience with the surgeon and staff, and I appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I was quoted.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come
The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come. Seeing that was a huge relief. The surgeon and staff provided great support, making me feel secure from the start. Recovery is no joke. It was a positive step when the catheter was removed, but managing the dilation sessions has been very challenging. My biggest concern is the swelling, and I'm focused on trusting the process. The care and the surgical foundation are solid, which is why I'm rating everything positively.
Everything was perfect. The staff were kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the whole process. The doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the excellent care I received.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

FAQ about Nipple reduction in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are there specific risks associated with undergoing nipple reduction surgery in Thailand?

Nipple reduction surgery in Thailand carries risks typical of any cosmetic breast procedure. These include reduced sensation, potential breastfeeding difficulties, and scarring. Specific medical tourism risks involve long-haul travel complications and lack of local follow-up care. Complication rates are low at JCI-accredited facilities with ISAPS-member surgeons.

  • Sensation changes: Risk of temporary or permanent numbness depends on the surgical technique used.
  • Nerve preservation: Surgeons at Asia Cosmetic Hospital use specific methods to protect blood supply.
  • Clinical hygiene: Wansiri Hospital uses Clean Room standards and air filtration to prevent infections.
  • Travel timing: Patients should stay in Bangkok for initial checks before flying home.
  • Australian follow-up: Some clinics offer 6-month digital follow-up to monitor healing remotely.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Australian patients focus on costs. However, the safest path in Bangkok involves choosing a hospital that includes cardiologists. Clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital staff these specialists to monitor patients under anaesthesia. This provides extra safety rarely found in small private clinics.

Patient Consensus: Patients suggest discussing tissue removal amounts early to get natural results and preserve feeling. Confirming revision policies and keeping written post-op instructions helps manage recovery while in Thailand.

How is nipple reduction surgery performed by surgeons in Thailand?

Surgeons in Thailand perform nipple reduction as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia. This resizes long, wide, or projecting nipples. Specialists use wedge excisions and tissue trimming to reshape the area. Dissolvable sutures are typically used at JCI-accredited Bangkok clinics for minimal scarring.

  • Technique selection: Surgeons remove tissue wedges to narrow width or trim tips to reduce projection.
  • Anaesthesia protocol: Most procedures use local anaesthesia. This allows patients to remain awake but comfortable.
  • Areola correction: Specialists often use the donut technique to trim and tighten the surrounding skin.
  • Scar management: Incisions are placed at the nipple base to hide marks within natural folds.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai plastic surgery centres often integrate nipple reduction into broader breast packages. Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee International Hospital trained at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He exemplifies the high level of Australian-relevant clinical expertise available. Many Bangkok facilities now include 6-month digital follow-ups to support international patients at home.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend clarifying whether the technique reduces projection, diameter, or both. Many confirm that the quick recovery allows for a comfortable holiday while initial swelling settles.

What is the typical recovery period after having a nipple reduction in Thailand?

Patients typically return to light activities in 3 to 7 days. Most return to desk work within 1 week once initial swelling and soreness subside. Full settling of the area takes 4 to 6 weeks. Specialists recommend staying in Thailand for 7 days for post-operative checks.

  • Work return: Resuming light office duties is possible after 7 days of rest.
  • Physical activity: Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Wound care: Stitches usually dissolve or the surgeon removes them within 7 to 10 days.
  • Travel planning: Allocate 1 to 2 weeks before flying to ensure wounds are secure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Quality markers in Bangkok are exceptionally high. Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintains JCI and ISO accreditations. They report a 0% post-surgery complication rate. Dr Thanakom Laisakul there is an ISAPS member. His packages even include a 6-month follow-up for long-term monitoring.

Patient Consensus: The first week involves managing mild soreness and protecting the area from friction. Most people feel comfortable with travel logistics after 10 days. Patients suggest wearing loose clothing to prevent irritation during the initial healing phase in Thailand.

What should Australian patients know about flying home after a nipple reduction in Thailand?

Australian patients should wait at least 2–3 days before flying after a nipple reduction in Thailand. Altitude changes can cause swelling and discomfort, even for minor surgeries. Long-haul flights to Australia increase DVT risks. Surgeons usually require a physical check-up before departure.

  • Flight timing: Wait 48–72 hours to allow initial healing and check for post-op bleeding.
  • Physical assistance: Request airport wheelchair assistance to avoid lifting heavy luggage into overhead lockers.
  • Dressings: Pack spare dressings and pain medication in hand luggage for easy access during flights.
  • Clothing: Wear loose, front-opening shirts to avoid lifting arms and pulling on chest sutures.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital often include 6-month follow-up care in packages. Patients should confirm if this includes telehealth. Having a direct line to the Thai surgeon after landing in Australia helps during early recovery.

Patient Consensus: Flying home often causes tenderness and swelling, so wearing zip-up tops is helpful. Using extra padding under seatbelts and arranging transfers in Bangkok helps protect the chest area from bumps during the journey.

Are the results of nipple reduction surgery permanent?

Nipple reduction results are permanent because surgically removed tissue cannot regrow. Most patients maintain a stable appearance over their lifetime. However, significant weight fluctuations, pregnancy, or hormonal shifts can naturally alter breast shape. These changes can stretch the skin and may affect the final aesthetic outcome.

  • Surgical tissue removal: Surgeons permanently excise excess tissue to reduce size, shape, or projection.
  • Structural stability: Facilities like Asia Cosmetic Hospital use techniques that preserve nipple function.
  • Long-term maintenance: Keeping a stable weight preserves the surgical contours over several decades.
  • Post-op monitoring: Comprehensive packages in Bangkok often include 6-month follow-up care to track healing.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While the reduction is permanent, tissue quality varies. Data shows that surgeons like Dr Thanakom Laisakul, an ISAPS member, use specific techniques that better preserve the milk ducts. This is vital for patients planning future breastfeeding. It ensures functional longevity alongside aesthetic changes.

Patient Consensus: Results in Thailand are durable, but patients suggest discussing duct preservation clearly. Removed tissue stays gone, though skin can stretch after pregnancy or weight changes.

Will I experience pain during or after nipple reduction surgery in Thailand?

Nipple reduction in Thailand is a low-pain procedure. It is performed under local anaesthesia or general anaesthetic. Patients do not feel pain during surgery. Some describe a sensation of pressure. Post-operative discomfort is usually mild. It is manageable with prescribed medication within 48 to 72 hours.

  • Anaesthesia options: Surgeons use local anaesthetic with sedation or general anaesthesia for a pain-free experience.
  • Post-op sensations: Expect mild aching, burning, or tenderness once the anaesthetic wears off.
  • Nipple sensitivity: Heightened sensitivity to clothing or touch is common during the first few days.
  • Recovery timeline: Swelling and bruising typically peak early and subside significantly within 2–3 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital often involve cardiologists and anaesthetists to supervise sedation. This increases safety and comfort. Choosing a package with a 6-month follow-up is vital for Australians. It allows specialists to monitor sensitivity changes remotely after you return home.

Patient Consensus: Many patients describe the physical discomfort as more annoying than unbearable. They notice pressure and tugging during the procedure. Thailand travellers recommend extra rest before flying home. Travel can temporarily increase swelling and sensitivity.
