What would I say to a friend who’s hesitating? Just go for it
What would I say to a friend who’s hesitating? Just go for it. My biggest fear was not understanding the treatment plan or feeling rushed, but that wasn’t the case at all. The dentist was very patient and took the time to explain each step to me in detail. It was reassuring. The overall organisation ran smoothly and the whole clinic team were professional and happy to answer my questions. Coordination via Bookimed simplified the whole process, which helped reduce the stress of having a medical appointment abroad. I left with clear information and a good overall impression.

I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism
Hello everyone, like many other people before an operation, I wasn't feeling very well. The staff at the clinic immediately reassured and accompanied me. Believe me or not, I didn't feel a thing. The dental surgeon fitted the 2 implants in 40 minutes, and I had no infections whatsoever. My Bookimed advisor (Péguy) was with me from the start and is still with me today. I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism. Sylvain B.

The wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care
It is a clean hospital and the wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care. The dentist and dental personnel can speak fluent English which is important for most people like I. For wisdom teeth extraction the cost was 20000 baht for 4 teeth( including medication and nurse charge), but it all depends if the teeth has impacted. I would highly recommend the clinic.

FAQ about Instant veneers in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is the difference between composite instant veneers and porcelain veneers in Thailand?

The main difference in Thailand between composite instant veneers and porcelain veneers is the application method and durability. Composite veneers use resin sculpted directly on teeth in one visit. Porcelain veneers involve custom lab-made shells usually requiring multiple appointments for fitting and bonding.

  • Treatment time: Composite takes 1 visit. Porcelain requires 2–3 visits for lab fabrication.
  • Application technique: Dentists sculpt composite resin chairside. Porcelain shells require impressions and bonding.
  • Lifespan: Composite lasts 5–7 years. Porcelain typically lasts over 10–15 years.
  • Aesthetic quality: Porcelain offers superior translucency. Resin mimics enamel but is prone to staining.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand leads in time-saving dentistry, especially with same-day workflows. Clinics like A.B. Dental Studio Phuket use CEREC CAD/CAM technology. This allows them to produce porcelain restorations in one visit. This bridges the gap between speed and durability for international patients.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand often choose composite for reversible, budget-friendly fixes. They suggest checking bite and gum health before proceeding for a full smile makeover.

Are instant veneers in Thailand durable?

Instant veneers in Thailand typically last 3 to 7 years. Durability depends on the material, as composite resin options wear faster than porcelain. Clinics in Bangkok and Phuket use chairside CAD/CAM technology for restorations. These precise, same-day options offer better longevity than traditional hand-layered composite.

  • Material differences: Composite resin usually lasts 3–7 years. Porcelain alternatives often exceed 10–20 years.
  • Digital technology: A.B. Dental Studio Phuket uses CEREC CAD/CAM systems for durable single-visit restorations.
  • Expert craftsmanship: Dr Ponkarn Kanjanawattana at Hachi Dental Clinic completed 400+ smile makeover cases.
  • Quality standards: Clinics like Kitcha Dental Clinic follow guidelines set by the ADA (American Dental Association).

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often differentiate between instant composite and same-day porcelain. Dr Vikram Bhatia at SmileBox Dental Clinic holds SmileFast certification from the UK. This technique provides better structural integrity than basic resin bonding. For the best lifespan, seek clinics with in-house digital labs.

Patient Consensus: Durability relies on the specific material chosen in Thailand. Patients recommend verifying the level of enamel reduction. They also suggest checking for protective night guards. Lifespan increases when avoiding hard foods and maintaining regular dental check-ups after returning home.

What issues can instant veneers in Thailand address?

Instant veneers in Thailand fix aesthetic dental concerns like severe tooth discolouration, chipped enamel, and gaps between teeth. These composite or no-prep restorations treat misshapen or slightly crooked teeth in one session. They offer a fast solution for stains that traditional whitening cannot resolve.

  • Tooth discolouration: Masks stubborn tetracycline or fluorosis stains to brighten the smile.
  • Structural repairs: Covers chipped, cracked, or worn enamel for a uniform look.
  • Gap closure: Seals spaces between teeth without requiring long-term orthodontic braces.
  • Alignment issues: Corrects minor overcrowding or pointiness using non-surgical "instant braces."

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s leading clinics use chairside CAD/CAM systems like CEREC for custom veneers in one visit. High-volume centres like Kitcha Dental Clinic serve 10,000+ patients annually and often have in-house labs. This setup provides a precise fit and immediate results that typical composite bonding cannot match.

Patient Consensus: Patients find Thailand perfect for quick aesthetic upgrades because digital scans and 3D imaging save time. They recommend treating any existing gum disease first so the new veneers last. The ability to combine dental appointments with a holiday makes Bangkok a top choice.

How long does it take to complete the instant veneer procedure in Thailand?

Instant veneers in Thailand typically take one to two days. Composite resin options are often finished in one appointment lasting two to three hours. Porcelain veneers using chairside CAD/CAM technology or in-house labs generally take three to seven days.

  • Procedure duration: Composite veneers require 30–60 minutes per tooth in one visit.
  • Digital workflow: Clinics like A.B. Dental Studio use CEREC for same-day restorations.
  • In-house labs: Hachi Dental Clinic uses onsite labs to speed up porcelain fabrication.
  • Travel planning: Patients should allow 2–3 buffer days for final bite adjustments.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics market same-day results. However, the fastest results come from centres with 3D intraoral scanners. Dr. Pongkarn Kanjanawattana at Hachi Dental Clinic uses a digital workflow that avoids physical impressions. This technology allows for precise shade matching and fitting in fewer appointments.

Patient Consensus: Visitors to Thailand suggest confirming the specific material and lab process before flying. This helps check if the schedule works. Allowing a few extra days helps make the final fit comfortable and natural for the journey home.

What exactly are instant veneers offered by dentists in Thailand?

Instant veneers in Thailand primarily refer to composite resin bonding or same-day chairside restorations. These are applied directly in a single session unlike porcelain veneers that need multiple visits. Patients often choose this for minor repairs to get results in under a few hours.

  • Direct application: Dentists sculpt tooth-coloured composite resin directly onto teeth during a single visit.
  • Material types: Options include light-cured composite bonding or prefabricated cosmetic shells for rapid makeovers.
  • Digital technology: Some clinics use CEREC chairside milling to create permanent ceramic veneers instantly.
  • Minimal preparation: These procedures generally involve little to no removal of natural enamel.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many think instant veneers are only composite bonding. However, Phuket clinics like A.B. Dental Studio use CEREC technology for same-day ceramic restorations. This gives patients the durability of porcelain with the speed of composite. In-house digital labs are key for high-quality instant results.

Patient Consensus: Visitors in Thailand often describe this as a quick cosmetic cover-up. They suggest checking whether the procedure is reversible or requires permanent enamel reduction. Most find it a fast way to fix gaps or chips. Still, they note composite needs more maintenance than porcelain.
