The team followed through on every detail discussed
Sitting in the consultation room while the surgeon explained the precise use of 50-100 million umbilical cord stem cells gave me a clear sense of the technical path ahead. Fifteen days after the treatment, I am already noticing some improvement in my overall physical state. The application was smooth, and I experienced no injection site reactions or inflammatory flare-ups afterward. Recovery is just beginning. Every interaction with the clinic staff was handled with professional efficiency, ensuring that the logistical side of the medical travel was as controlled as the procedure itself. It is important to stay patient during this early window while the body starts to respond to the cells. The team followed through on every detail discussed.

Not sure... give me extra stem cells. Maybe have more food?

It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about Fillers injection in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Can filler injections in Thailand cause blindness?

Filler injections in Thailand can cause blindness if incorrectly administered into a blood vessel. This rare complication occurs when filler blocks the artery supplying the eye. Australian patients can reduce this risk by selecting JCI-accredited hospitals and board-certified specialists. These experts use authentic brands like Juvéderm and Restylane.

  • Vascular occlusion risk: Injection into facial arteries can block blood flow to the retina.
  • High-risk zones: Injections in the forehead, glabella, and nose require anatomical knowledge to avoid.
  • Certified injectors: Dr. Siriporn Cheawchanwej at Somchai Clinic holds American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine certification.
  • Clinical standards: Wansiri Hospital uses Clean Room operating theatres to maintain sterile injection environments.
  • Emergency protocols: Specialised centres like Yanhee International Hospital employ 180+ doctors for immediate complication management.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many local clinics offer fillers. However, high-volume hospitals like Bumrungrad International Hospital serve 500,000+ international patients annually. These major hubs provide a safety net through on-site ophthalmology departments. This is a critical advantage if a vascular emergency occurs during a cosmetic procedure.

Are dermal filler injections safe in Thailand?

Dermal filler injections in Thailand are safe when performed at accredited surgical hospitals and medical clinics. Professional centres prioritise authentic brands such as Juvéderm, Restylane, and Sculptra. Leading facilities in Bangkok and Phuket maintain JCI accreditation. They often employ injectors with international fellowships from the UK, USA, and Japan.

  • Product authenticity: Top clinics use Thai FDA-approved fillers with verifiable QR codes and batch numbers.
  • Medical credentials: Procedures are performed by dermatologists and surgeons, often with 20+ years of experience.
  • Clinical environment: Accredited hospitals like Wansiri or Asia Cosmetic Hospital follow strict infection control theatre standards.
  • Telehealth screening: Australian patients access video consultations to discuss medical history before flying to Thailand.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows several Thai doctors hold specialist ENT or head and neck certifications. One example is Dr Sirikan Sasivimonphan at Dr Chen Surgery Hospital. These anatomical specialists provide extra safety for complex facial contouring compared to general aesthetic injectors.

Patient Consensus: Selecting a licensed medical clinic rather than a beauty spa helps obtain high-quality results. Patients in Thailand recommend staying locally for 2–3 days. This allows them to monitor for minor swelling before flying home.

What is a blunt cannula and why is it used for filler injections in Thailand?

A blunt cannula is a flexible, tube-like instrument with a rounded tip used to deliver dermal fillers. Unlike sharp needles, it pushes blood vessels and nerves aside rather than piercing them. Thai providers use this technique to reduce bruising, swelling, and the risk of vascular complications.

  • Vessel safety: Rounded tips glide past arteries. This lowers the risk of accidental internal injections.
  • Single entry point: Surgeons treat entire areas like cheeks or jawlines through one small pilot hole.
  • Reduced trauma: Fewer skin punctures mean less tissue damage and a much faster recovery period.
  • Natural contouring: The flexible shaft allows for smooth, even product placement along facial planes.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often pair cannulas with brands like Juvéderm® or Restylane® Lyft for better support. Wansiri Hospital and Asia Cosmetic Hospital even use clean-room operating theatres for these injections. This environment combined with cannula precision helps maintain very low complication rates in top Bangkok facilities.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the cannula feels more like a pushing sensation than a sharp sting. They appreciate returning to their holiday immediately with minimal bruising and notice very natural-looking results in Thailand.

What should Australian patients discuss during a filler consultation in Thailand?

Australian patients should discuss filler brand authenticity, the injector's medical credentials, and complication protocols. Requesting a millilitre-by-millilitre treatment plan matches volume expectations with costs. Confirming the availability of hyaluronidase is essential for managing potential vascular issues before returning home.

  • Product authenticity: Request the exact brand name like Juvéderm or Restylane for approved quality.
  • Injector credentials: Confirm if a board-certified doctor or specialist like Dr Siriporn Cheawchanwej performs injections.
  • Complication management: Verify the clinic has hyaluronidase on site to reverse hyaluronic acid if needed.
  • Volume breakdown: Get a written plan specifying exactly how many millilitres each area receives.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Wansiri Hospital and Yanhee International Hospital serve thousands of international patients annually. Their staff handle diverse facial structures every day. Patients should ask if the clinic uses 3D face scanning. This technology helps guests see results before the first injection occurs.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend getting a full cost breakdown. They also suggest looking at before-and-after photos of similar age groups. Confirm aftercare contact methods so support remains available after flying back to Australia.

What are dermal fillers and how do they work?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin. They restore volume, smooth deep lines, and contour facial features. These non-surgical treatments use materials like hyaluronic acid or biostimulators to replace collagen and fat loss. Results are visible immediately. They last from 6 months to 2 years depending on the product.

  • Volume restoration: Gel-like substances fill spaces to plump sunken cheeks or thin lips.
  • Collagen stimulation: Biostimulators like Sculptra trigger the body to produce natural collagen over time.
  • Product range: Specialists use Juvéderm and Restylane for hydration or Sculptra for gradual renewal.
  • Target areas: Common treatments include under-eye rejuvenation, jawline contouring, and nasolabial fold smoothing.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data reveals a significant price gap based on the injector's medical background. For example, penile girth enhancement using 10CC of Restylane Lyft costs A$7,900 when performed by a board-certified urologist. In contrast, facial contouring with the same brand starts at much lower points. Choosing a specialist with region-specific expertise provides better safety and anatomical precision.

Patient Consensus: Fillers provide rapid results for smoothing lines and adding volume but require maintenance sessions. Results depend heavily on the injector's anatomical knowledge and the specific brand used in Thailand.

How long do results from filler injections in Thailand typically last?

Filler results in Thailand typically last between 6 and 18 months. Longevity depends on the injection site and filler type. Hyaluronic acid brands like Juvederm and Restylane are the standard choice. High-movement areas like lips may last 6 months. Cheek and jawline enhancements often reach 18 months.

  • Product choice: Collagen stimulators like Sculptra provide results lasting up to 2 years.
  • Injection site: Lips typically last 6–9 months due to frequent movement and high blood flow.
  • Facial contouring: Cheeks, chin, and jawline fillers often remain effective for 12–18 months.
  • Specialist expertise: Surgeons like Dr. Akkavich Harnnavachok specialise in high-precision facial reshaping for optimal longevity.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s leading aesthetic clinics use sterile environments for fillers. Hospitals like Wansiri use Clean Room standard theatres for these procedures. This environment reduces sub-clinical inflammation. Lower inflammation levels can help prevent the body from breaking down hyaluronic acid too quickly. This potentially extends the results.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that lip fillers settle quickly. Deeper contouring in the cheeks and chin stays visible for well over a year. Many suggest asking for the specific product batch sticker. This helps track exactly which filler was used for future top-ups.

What aftercare is required following filler injections in Thailand?

Aftercare for fillers in Thailand involves avoiding heat, pressure, and sun exposure. Patients must stay hydrated and avoid strenuous exercise for 14 days. Clinics like Wansiri Hospital and Yanhee International Hospital provide protocols to manage swelling in tropical conditions.

  • Sun protection: Apply high SPF sunscreen daily to prevent UV rays from affecting recovery.
  • Heat avoidance: Avoid saunas, steam baths, and intense workouts for 7–14 days.
  • Pressure control: Do not rub or massage treated areas for up to 4 weeks.
  • Dietary habits: Avoid fermented, raw, or spicy foods for 3 days to limit swelling.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often recommend staying indoors during peak UV hours for the first 3 days. Dr. Akkavich Harnnavachok at Siam Clinic Phuket notes that high humidity can increase initial swelling. Choosing centres with Clean Room standard theatres, like Wansiri Hospital, helps maintain hygiene during the procedure.

Patient Consensus: Visitors to Bangkok and Phuket appreciate the detailed instructions regarding heat management. Many mention that drinking extra water helps hyaluronic acid fillers settle comfortably in the Thai heat.
