How Much Does Dental bonding Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Dental bonding in Thailand typically costs from AUD $143 / ฿A4,870 to AUD $430 / ฿A14,609. The final price depends on the extent of the repair and the materials used. In Australia, the average price for this procedure is AUD $573 / ฿A19,478. Patients can save approximately 50% by travelling to Thai clinics. These procedures generally include a consultation, the resin material, and professional polishing for a natural finish.

  • Tooth restoration (bonding): AUD $430 / ฿A14,609 to AUD $716 / ฿A24,348 for repairing decay or damage.
  • Tooth reshaping: AUD $143 / ฿A4,870 to AUD $143 / ฿A4,870 to improve tooth symmetry or length.
  • Composite veneers: typically cost 40–50% more than simple bonding for full aesthetic masking.
  • Regional variations: packages in Bangkok or Phuket often cost 15–20% more than in Chiang Mai.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While simple bonding is affordable, choosing a specialized dental hospital offers superior value. Bangkok International Dental Hospital (BIDH) maintains hospital-based sterilization and safety standards beyond standard clinic requirements. High-volume centers often use premium materials from Ivoclar Vivadent or Straumann. This ensures better color matching and durability for Australian patients seeking long-term restorative results.

Data verified by Bookimed as of July 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 216 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

What would I say to a friend who’s hesitating? Just go for it
What would I say to a friend who’s hesitating? Just go for it. My biggest fear was not understanding the treatment plan or feeling rushed, but that wasn’t the case at all. The dentist was very patient and took the time to explain each step to me in detail. It was reassuring. The overall organisation ran smoothly and the whole clinic team were professional and happy to answer my questions. Coordination via Bookimed simplified the whole process, which helped reduce the stress of having a medical appointment abroad. I left with clear information and a good overall impression.

I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism
Hello everyone, like many other people before an operation, I wasn't feeling very well. The staff at the clinic immediately reassured and accompanied me. Believe me or not, I didn't feel a thing. The dental surgeon fitted the 2 implants in 40 minutes, and I had no infections whatsoever. My Bookimed advisor (Péguy) was with me from the start and is still with me today. I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism. Sylvain B.

The wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care
It is a clean hospital and the wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care. The dentist and dental personnel can speak fluent English which is important for most people like I. For wisdom teeth extraction the cost was 20000 baht for 4 teeth( including medication and nurse charge), but it all depends if the teeth has impacted. I would highly recommend the clinic.

FAQ about Dental bonding in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is dental bonding in Thailand bad for your natural teeth?

Dental bonding in Thailand is not bad for natural teeth. Qualified specialists use additive techniques to protect the tooth. This minimally invasive procedure uses composite resin to repair teeth without removing much enamel. Leading Bangkok clinics use international materials from Straumann and Ivoclar Vivadent for safe, durable results.

  • Enamel preservation: Unlike veneers, bonding requires little to no removal of natural tooth structure.
  • Certified providers: JCI-accredited centres like Bangkok International Dental Center follow strict international safety protocols.
  • Specialist expertise: Surgeons like Dr Pawak Tungthangthum hold specialised qualifications in aesthetic restorative dentistry.
  • Material quality: Premium Swiss and European resins reduce the risk of chips or staining.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai dental hospitals like BIDH often function as one-stop facilities. They have on-site labs and hospital-grade sterilisation. While a single tooth restoration costs from $300, hospital clinics provide access to prosthodontists. These specialists focus on complex bite alignment. This helps prevent the bonding from chipping due to uneven pressure.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that additive bonding is a comfortable way to improve their smile. It avoids the drilling required for crowns. They recommend requesting a written plan that specifies if any enamel removal is necessary before starting treatment.

What issues can dental bonding in Thailand fix?

Dental bonding in Thailand fixes small cosmetic imperfections like chipped, cracked, or discoloured teeth. Specialists use composite resin to close minor gaps and reshape teeth. This protects exposed roots and provides an affordable alternative to porcelain veneers for localised repairs.

  • Cosmetic repairs: Fixes minor chips, small cracks, and uneven tooth edges effectively.
  • Gap closure: Closes small spaces between teeth without requiring braces or veneers.
  • Symmetry correction: Lengthens or enlarges small teeth to create a more uniform smile.
  • Root protection: Covers exposed roots from gum recession to help reduce tooth sensitivity.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s top clinics treat bonding as a specialised aesthetic restoration rather than a generic patch. Leading centres like Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) involve prosthodontists. These specialists use high-end materials from brands like Straumann or Ivoclar Vivadent. This helps ensure the resin matches natural tooth translucency.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand find bonding ideal for quick aesthetic touch-ups on front teeth. They often use it to fix small chips or minor spacing during a holiday. This is because the procedure requires no downtime.

How long does dental bonding last after treatment in Thailand?

Dental bonding in Thailand typically lasts 4 to 10 years depending on aftercare and oral habits. Specialists use medical-grade composite resin to repair chips or gaps. Proper maintenance through regular dental check-ups helps the restoration remain intact and stain-free for years. Patients should also avoid hard foods to protect the bonding.

  • Treatment lifespan: Results usually last 4–8 years, extending to 10 with excellent oral hygiene.
  • Longevity factors: Grinding teeth or biting hard substances can cause resin to chip or crack.
  • Stain prevention: Avoiding coffee or red wine prevents the composite material from discolouring over time.
  • Material quality: Specialists at Bangkok International Dental Center use original materials from Ivoclar Vivadent and Straumann.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s leading dental centres often function as hospital-grade facilities rather than small clinics. Bangkok International Dental Center and Bangkok International Dental Hospital hold JCI accreditation. This provides clinical safety standards that match or exceed what many patients find in Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients travelling to Thailand often mention the efficiency of getting multiple teeth bonded during one visit. They appreciate the detailed colour matching that makes the resin look like natural enamel.

What are the main types of cosmetic dental bonding available in Thailand?

Thailand offers several dental bonding options. These include direct composite bonding for chips and composite veneers for full-surface coverage. Specialized edge bonding is also available to restore worn teeth. These procedures in Bangkok and Phuket clinics generally cost from $100 to $300. This saves Australians up to 60% compared to local prices.

  • Direct composite bonding: Fast resin application to repair small chips or close minor gaps.
  • Composite veneers: Cost-effective alternative covering the entire front tooth surface for major staining.
  • Incised edge bonding: Specialised technique to rebuild worn front edges after orthodontic treatment.
  • Tooth reshaping: Combines minor enamel contouring with bonding to smooth out uneven tooth shapes.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics provide general repairs. However, top-tier Bangkok centres like Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) use Swiss-made materials. They use products from Straumann and Ivoclar Vivadent. This high material grade is a key indicator of longevity. These brands resist staining and maintain a natural polish for 5–10 years.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand often choose direct bonding for quick gap closures. They also choose it for edge repairs. The process is additive and requires no tooth reduction. Many suggest requesting before-and-after photos of previous cases. This helps ensure the resin shade matches natural enamel perfectly.

How long will a dental bonding procedure take at a clinic in Thailand?

Dental bonding in Thailand typically takes 30 to 60 minutes for a single tooth. A session for 2 to 4 teeth usually requires 1.5 to 2 hours. Most procedures are completed in one visit at JCI-accredited clinics in Bangkok or Phuket.

  • Single tooth: Expect 30 to 60 minutes for preparation, resin sculpting, and curing.
  • Multiple teeth: Bonding 2 to 4 teeth requires a session of 90 to 120 minutes.
  • One-visit completion: Clinicians perform consultation, shade matching, and polishing during a single appointment.
  • Total clinic time: Budget 2 to 3 hours for photos, planning, and final adjustments.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) serve 15,000+ patients annually. This scale creates highly efficient workflows. While the bonding itself is fast, specialists often spend the most time on precise shade matching. This ensures the composite resin blends perfectly with natural enamel under different lighting.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate getting cosmetic fixes finished in a single afternoon. They suggest building buffer time into your holiday schedule for a quick follow-up adjustment. Leading clinics coordinate these sessions efficiently so the procedure fits easily into a short overseas trip.

Where are the most reputable locations for dental bonding clinics in Thailand?

Bangkok is Thailand's premier hub for reputable dental bonding. It hosts JCI-accredited facilities and specialist cosmetic centres. Patients also find highly-rated clinics in Chiang Mai and Phuket. Experienced dentists there perform tooth restoration and reshaping using international materials like Straumann and Ivoclar Vivadent.

  • Bangkok clinics: These host the highest concentration of specialist cosmetic dentists and JCI-accredited hospitals.
  • Chiang Mai alternative: This city offers reputable long-standing clinics like Kitcha Dental Clinic. It serves many Australian patients.
  • Phuket facilities: These are popular for patients combining treatment with a holiday at centres like Phuket Dental Signature.
  • Specialist credentials: Top doctors often hold American Board of Prosthodontics recognition for cosmetic work.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok dominates for volume, but Chiang Mai clinics offer significant experience. Founders like Dr Kitcha Tungthangthum have been practising for 45+ years. Data shows these regional centres maintain high ratings. They explicitly cater to the Australian market with English-speaking specialists.

Patient Consensus: Patients find Bangkok the most reliable hub for English-speaking staff and high-end hospital systems. Many recommend checking specific before-and-after cases in Thailand. This helps find a dentist with a strong artistic touch for shade-matching.
