How Much Does Butt implants Cost in Thailand in AUD?

Butt implants in Thailand typically cost from Price on request to Price on request . Prices depend on the implant brand, the surgeon's experience, and the facility's location in hubs like Bangkok or Phuket. Australians save approximately _price_percent_discount_% compared to local prices, which average _price_compare_AU_average_. Packages often include general anaesthesia, hospital stays, post-operative medications, and garment fittings.

  • Male Butt Implants: Price on request to Price on request for specialized male contouring.
  • Premium implant brands: using brands like Motiva or Sebbin adds 25–35% to the base cost.
  • Hospital tier: JCI-accredited facilities in Bangkok typically charge 15–20% more than regional clinics.
  • All-inclusive bundles: luxury packages include 10 nights of hotel stay and full board by nutritionists.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing high-end packages offers significant value for Australian patients needing a 14-day recovery window. Wansiri Hospital provides packages starting around A$11,300. These include 10 hotel nights, nursing care, and meals. This is often cheaper than booking accommodation separately in Bangkok. Specialist surgeons like Dr. Panop Metinum use single-incision techniques to reduce scarring. Clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital report a 0% complication rate, which is a vital trust signal for medical travellers.

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

The staff deserves a special mention for being so supportive
One of my biggest worries was the potential for hidden costs, but I was relieved to find there were no additional expenses on top of what the clinic quoted. The staff deserves a special mention for being so supportive. They've stayed in touch and have been very easy to reach, which is reassuring during recovery from my traditional liposuction on two areas. What stood out about my surgeon was how carefully he marked the areas before we went into the operating room. My recovery is going about as expected so far. The whole process was handled professionally.

Just trust them
What really stood out was sitting with my doctor before the procedure to draw the beard shape together. That personal approach made a huge difference. Honestly, so far I'm feeling better than expected. The procedure was done using the FUE technique. The clinic’s support afterward has been great; they provided a clear aftercare guide and have stayed in touch with me. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had paid. My advice for a future patient? Just trust them. They know what they are doing!
Excellent staff. Really took care of me. Wjile the full effects of my procedure will take several months to show. I'm very pleased so far of the outcome. They are very accommodating and generous with their time
Some language issues but some of the staff speak English well enough that it really isn't a problem

What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery
I was thinking that going into a revision was getting unrealistic promises. What truly stood out was my surgeon, who was honest about realistic results from the start and personally handled both the consultation and the surgery. It gave me confidence. My alarplasty was done to correct an asymmetric nose, and while I'm still in the early stages of healing, it’s really too early to tell what the final outcome will be. The staff were supportive, providing a clear aftercare guide for my recovery at home. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I had already paid the clinic.
Caring nurses & Dr. was nice

the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable
My one-off operation went very well and the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable, apart from a few minor language issues. However, you should be prepared for a few additional costs that were not included in the original price: we had to pay for the transfers between the hotel and the clinic ourselves, and the wound care supplies were insufficient, which amounted to a mid-double-digit sum in total. My most important tip for future patients would be to make absolutely sure you clarify any dietary requirements (vegetarian/halal/...) with the clinic before you arrive.
The coordination team is very dedicated and always available. The staff are consistently very friendly and go out of their way to help. A very comprehensive package with extensive, thorough preliminary examinations and no hidden costs. A superbly equipped single room, including a sofa bed for an accompanying person.
Contrary to what was advertised, there was no interpreter. The nursing staff, in particular, did not always have a good enough command of English to explain everything clearly and in detail. The consultation with the surgeon was less detailed than expected. It wasn’t always entirely clear which services were included in the package and which weren’t (particularly transfers) – but there were no major hidden costs. Hospital food/light meals after operations are always a challenge, and perhaps even more so in a different cultural context – I wasn’t asked about any specific dietary preferences, so anyone who absolutely needs vegetarian, vegan, kosher or halal food should definitely clarify this in advance; in my opinion, the hospital bed was very hard, which is significantly more uncomfortable when you can’t move around much

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started
The most reassuring part of the whole process was sitting with the surgeon before we started. He took the time to draw the hairline with me and clearly explained the entire FUE extraction and implantation process, which helped manage my expectations for the 2,000-3,000 graft procedure. Now in the early stages of healing, I'm feeling about as expected. The clinic has stayed in touch, which is good. Overall, it was a solid experience with the surgeon and staff, and I appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I was quoted.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

FAQ about Butt implants in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is Thailand a safe destination for butt implant surgery?

Thailand is a safe destination for buttock augmentation when performed at JCI-accredited hospitals. These facilities maintain rigorous surgical standards and record 0% complication rates. Safety relies on choosing board-certified plastic surgeons with international fellowships. Surgeons should use hospital-grade sterile theatres with HEPA filtration.

  • Clinic accreditation: Top facilities such as Asia Cosmetic Hospital hold JCI and ISO certifications.
  • Specialist monitoring: Surgeons operate under the direct supervision of qualified anaesthetists and cardiologists.
  • Experience volume: Leading surgeons like Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj have performed over 15,000 surgical procedures.
  • Sterile standards: Major centres use hospital-grade sterile rooms with HEPA filtration systems.

Bookimed Expert Insight: The safest recovery involves more than just a hospital stay. Packages like the one at Wansiri Hospital include 10 nights of hotel accommodation. They also provide 24-hour nursing. This helps patients heal properly before facing a long-haul flight home.

Patient Consensus: Selecting a surgeon with specific butt implant experience is the primary safety factor. Confirming English-speaking follow-up and telehealth options helps manage care after returning home to Australia.

What are the primary health risks associated with butt implants in Thailand?

Butt implant surgery in Thailand carries risks including infection, implant displacement, capsular contracture, and deep vein thrombosis. Infection is a primary concern because the incision site is near the rectal area. These risks are managed through JCI-accredited facilities and specialised single-incision surgical techniques.

  • Infection prevention: Incisions near the intergluteal cleft require strict hygiene to prevent bacterial contamination.
  • Implant stability: Mechanical stress from sitting can cause implants to shift or become asymmetrical.
  • Nerve safety: Deep placement may press on the sciatic nerve, causing leg numbness or pain.
  • Travel safety: Long-haul flights shortly after surgery increase the risk of fatal pulmonary embolisms.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many centres offer quick turnarounds, but the safest approach in Bangkok involves extended stays. Packages at Wansiri Hospital include 10 nights of hotel stay and 5 days of hospitalisation. This extra time allows surgeons to monitor for early seroma or wound breakdown. These checks happen before patients board long-haul flights back to Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand often highlight the need for clear wound care plans and telehealth support. Plan for potential infection or fluid collection after returning home. Revision surgery can be complex and difficult to manage locally.

How do I choose the right surgeon for butt implants in Thailand?

Choosing a surgeon for butt implants in Thailand starts with verifying board certification in plastic surgery. You should also check for active membership in ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). Selecting specialists at JCI-accredited facilities helps maintain safety standards and high-volume gluteal expertise.

  • Board certification: Verify the surgeon is certified by the Medical Council of Thailand.
  • Professional memberships: Check for active ISAPS or ThSAPS membership for international standards.
  • Specialised experience: Prioritise surgeons such as Dr Pichet Rodchareon with 3,000+ aesthetic procedures.
  • Hospital standards: Check that the facility, like Sikarin Hospital, holds JCI and ISO accreditations.
  • Technique expertise: Confirm the specialist uses methods such as the single-incision surgical approach.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many centres focus on volume, so looking for doctors with specific subtype experience is vital. Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj at Asia Cosmetic Hospital has performed 15,000+ procedures. This experience level helps maintain the clinic's reported 0% post-surgery complication rate.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend choosing specialists who perform buttock augmentations weekly. They also suggest checking for clear revision plans. Practical wisdom involves prioritising clinics that bundle 24-hour nursing care and detailed aftercare support.

What is the recommended recovery timeline after receiving butt implants in Thailand?

Recovery after butt implants in Thailand takes about 6 weeks for initial healing. Patients typically spend 1–5 days in hospital with surgeons such as Dr Pichet Rodchareon. Full results appear after 3–6 months once tissues settle. Safe flying home to Australia requires 10–14 days in-country.

  • Initial stay: Expect 1–5 days in hospital for monitoring and wound care.
  • Pressure management: No back-sleeping or direct sitting for the first 2 weeks.
  • Travel window: Surgeons require 10–14 days in Thailand before long-haul flights.
  • Activity limits: Return to light work at 2 weeks using specialised cushions.
  • Final settling: Stop using compression garments and resume heavy exercise after 8 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most clinics suggest 2 days in hospital. However, Wansiri Hospital packages include 5 days. This extra surgical monitoring is vital for Australian patients before they move to a hotel. Longer hospitalisation helps manage initial pain effectively before the long flight home.

Patient Consensus: The first 2 weeks are the most challenging due to swelling. Patients suggest booking extra downtime in Thailand and using specialised pillows to prevent implant shifting. Confirming sitting and exercise dates with the surgeon helps lead to the best results.

How long must I stay in Thailand following butt implant surgery before flying home to Australia?

Most patients stay in Thailand for 10 to 14 days before flying home. This period allows surgeons to monitor the incision site for seromas. A minimum of 14 days is recommended for long-haul flights to Australia.

  • Hospital stay: Packages typically include 1 to 5 nights of inpatient care.
  • Clinical review: Surgeons usually perform a final wound check between day 7 and day 10.
  • DVT prevention: Extended stays reduce blood clot risks during the 9-hour flight home.
  • Sitting restrictions: Patients must use specialised cushions to avoid pressure on new implants.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Basic packages offer 1 night in hospital. However, Wansiri Hospital provides a 5-day hospital stay and 10 hotel nights. For Australian patients, this 15-day window is ideal. It covers the critical period when sitting for a long flight is difficult.

Patient Consensus: Travellers suggest staying at least 2 weeks to manage swelling and drainage. Expect the long flight home to be challenging. Practical tips include packing a BBL pillow and walking the aisle every hour.

Who is a suitable candidate for butt implants versus a Brazilian Butt Lift in Thailand?

Butt implants in Thailand suit slim patients without enough donor fat for a transfer. A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is the clinical choice for individuals with surplus fat. These patients often desire body contouring through liposuction at accredited Bangkok facilities.

  • Fat requirement: Implants suit lean individuals. BBL requires high-volume donor fat for harvesting.
  • Outcome goals: Implants provide fixed, predictable volume. BBL offers soft, natural body sculpting results.
  • Surgical approach: Surgeons use silicone gluteal implants or liposuction for fat grafting.
  • Recovery period: Most packages include 1–5 days in hospital and 10–14 days in Thailand.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from clinics like Wansiri and Asia Cosmetic Hospital shows a common trend. Australian patients often choose implants for guaranteed volume that will not fluctuate. While BBL offers contouring benefits, slim patients need implants to achieve significant projection. Some clinics now offer specialised single-incision techniques to minimise scarring.

Patient Consensus: Very slim patients find implants necessary when donor fat is unavailable. They value how Thailand's specialists combine surgery with recovery packages and 24-hour nursing care.

What are the surgical incision locations for butt implants in Thailand?

Surgeons in Thailand primarily place butt implant incisions in the intergluteal cleft. This is also known as the buttock crack. This vertical incision is typically 4–7 centimetres long. It hides scars between the cheeks. Other options include bilateral in-cleft incisions or horizontal cuts along the subgluteal fold.

  • Intergluteal cleft incision: Single midline cut hidden deep in the central crease for invisible scarring.
  • Paramedian incisions: Two parallel vertical cuts that reduce skin tension and improve healing.
  • Subgluteal fold incision: Horizontal cuts in the lower crease for direct implant positioning.
  • Intramuscular placement: Implants are embedded inside the muscle to prevent shifting and provide a natural feel.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Midline incisions are common. However, Lelux Hospital offers a specialised single-incision technique to further minimise scarring. Surgeons like Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj at Asia Cosmetic Hospital have performed 15,000+ procedures. This experience helps provide precise incision placement and lower complication rates.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand prefer cleft incisions because natural folds completely conceal scars. They suggest requesting long-term scar photos and confirming wound-care protocols for the tropical climate.
