How Much Does All-on-6 Dental Implants Cost in Republic of Korea in AUD?

All-on-6 dental implants in the Republic of Korea typically cost from AUD $17,123 to AUD $26,826 per arch. Final pricing depends on chosen implant brands, such as Osstem or Straumann, and any required preparatory surgeries like bone grafts. Patients travelling from Australia save approximately 28% compared to local rates, where the average cost is AUD $30,393. Packages usually include 3D CT scans, consultations, and temporary prostheses.

  • Local implant systems: often cost 30–50% less than premium international brands like Straumann.
  • Zirconia crowns: typically attract a premium over standard porcelain-fused-to-metal due to superior durability.
  • Preparatory procedures: sinus lifts or bone grafting add roughly 5-15% to total costs.
  • Location factors: clinics in Seoul districts like Gangnam may charge higher rates than Goyang.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Australian patients find exceptional value in Korea by choosing high-quality domestic brands. For instance, packages using Osstem SOI implants at 365 Seoul OneTop Dental Clinic start around A$9,200. This is roughly half the price of premium Straumann systems while maintaining high clinical standards. Clinics like Seoul Today Dental Clinic frequently assist Australians and provide on-site labs for faster prosthetic fitting.

Set aside more money for the treatment than is stated. Taxes were added on top at the clinic, and the dental cleaning also costs extra. I ended up with additional costs of around $100.
It was very easy to book the appointment, and on the day of the treatment everything went really quickly. Within an hour, my teeth were beautifully whitened.
One negative aspect was the lack of transparency regarding the costs. The description of the treatment suggested that, for $370, you would receive three sessions of bleaching plus a professional teeth clean. However, when I got there, I had to pay extra for the teeth cleaning, and on top of that, a hefty amount of tax was suddenly added to the total price, which meant the whole thing ended up costing nearly $100 more. Fortunately, I don’t trust anything, so I’d already factored in additional costs when planning my budget. Even so, it would be nice to be able to estimate the costs in advance.

FAQ about All-on-6 Dental Implants in Republic of Korea

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is included in All-on-6 dental implant packages in South Korea?

All-on-6 dental implant packages in South Korea typically include six titanium fixtures per jaw. They also include a 3D CT scan and consultations with specialists. Packages often cover the temporary prosthesis and the final zirconia bridge. Costs range from $12,000 to $18,800 per arch.

  • Diagnostic imaging: High-resolution 3D CT scans and panoramic X-rays ensure precise fixture placement.
  • Implant system: Premium Straumann or local Osstem SOI fixtures are standard in core packages.
  • Surgical components: Packages cover the six implants, custom abutments, and required titanium surgical screws.
  • Prosthetic restoration: A temporary bridge is provided immediately, followed by a final zirconia prosthesis.
  • Professional fees: Surgical fees for specialists, such as Dr Kwon Jae-won, are typically included.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While base packages start at A$9,100, these often exclude sedation. Clinics like Gangnam Severance Hospital offer free interpreter services. This is vital as the process takes 6 months. Budgeting for two separate trips to Seoul is necessary. This covers the initial surgery and final fitting.

Patient Consensus: Patients find that requesting all-inclusive quotes helps. This avoids separate charges for anaesthesia and surgical dressings. Many clinics offer discounts for cash payments while providing high-quality dental care in Seoul.

Which clinics and doctors are considered best for All-on-6 dental implants in South Korea?

Top South Korean dental clinics for All-on-6 implants include 365 Seoul OneTop Dental Clinic and Seoul Today Dental Clinic. These centres specialise in full-arch restorations using Straumann and Osstem systems. Highly regarded specialists include Dr Lim Gi-hyeon and Dr Kwon Jae-won, both Seoul National University graduates.

  • 365 Seoul OneTop: Offers KOIHA-certified care and is open 365 days for international patient convenience.
  • Dr Lim Gi-hyeon: A Harvard-affiliated specialist at 365 Seoul OneTop performing complex All-on-6 and zygomatic implants.
  • Seoul Today Dental: Treats 16,000+ patients annually with US-trained staff located near Incheon International Airport.
  • Barun Dental Clinic: Provides All-on-6 packages including temporary prostheses and 3D CT diagnostic imaging.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics offer Osstem implants from A$9,100. However, choosing a premium Straumann system typically doubles the package price. Data shows clinics like 365 Seoul OneTop provide dual-certified specialists in both surgery and integrated dentistry. This means one doctor manages the entire implant and prosthetic process for better alignment.

Patient Consensus: Patients find clinics in Gangnam best for English-speaking services and US-trained dentists. Most people recommend staying in South Korea for at least a week. This helps manage initial fittings and adjustments.

What does the All-on-6 dental implant procedure involve in South Korea?

All-on-6 dental implants in South Korea involve placing six titanium posts into the jaw to support a full-arch bridge. Surgeons use 3D CT diagnostics and computer-guided surgery for precise placement. This method provides superior stability for permanent Zirconium or ceramic restorations.

  • Diagnostic phase: Surgeons use 3D CT imaging to assess bone density and plan implant angles.
  • Surgical placement: Six titanium posts are inserted into the jawbone, often requiring only 1–2 hours.
  • Immediate loading: Temporary bridges are frequently attached within 24–48 hours for immediate function and aesthetics.
  • Osseointegration period: Implants fuse with the bone over 3–5 months before the final restoration.
  • Permanent prosthesis: Custom Zirconium or ceramic bridges are fitted once the implants have fully healed.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows that clinic directors like Dr. Lim Gi-hyeon at 365 Seoul OneTop Dental Clinic hold dual certifications. These are from Harvard and major Korean universities. This high level of specialisation allows clinics to perform zygomatic implants or sinus lifts. They do this alongside All-on-6 for patients with severe bone loss.

Patient Consensus: Expect a 6-month journey requiring multiple visits. However, same-day extractions and screw placement are common. Patients in South Korea appreciate finding English-speaking specialists. At these clinics, bone grafting is often included in the initial procedure price.

How long does the All-on-6 dental implant process take in South Korea?

The All-on-6 process in South Korea typically takes 4 to 8 months. This covers the time from surgery to final restoration. It requires two separate trips to Seoul, allowing 3–6 months for osseointegration. During this period, the titanium implants fuse safely with the jawbone.

  • First trip: Usually requires 5–7 days for consultations, extractions, and implant placement surgery.
  • Temporary teeth: Specialists often fit fixed temporary bridges within 24–72 hours after initial surgery.
  • Second trip: Patients return 3–6 months later for 3–7 days to fit final permanent crowns.
  • Healing phase: This 3–6 month period is critical for bone stability before loading permanent bridges.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics like Seoul Today Dental Clinic offer same-day prosthetics. However, complex cases needing bone grafts can extend the total timeline by an additional 3 months. Leading surgeons recommend co-ordinating both trips well in advance. Dr Lim Gi-hyeon at 365 Seoul OneTop Dental Clinic is one example. This helps secure specialist availability during the final crown fitting phase.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the six-month process in South Korea manageable when split into two distinct trips. Most agree that following the strict healing timeline is essential for long-term implant success.

Why should I choose South Korea for All-on-6 dental implants?

Choosing Republic of Korea for All-on-6 dental implants provides access to digital precision. Specialists are trained at top-tier institutions like Seoul National University. Local clinics use advanced 3D CT imaging and surgical guides. These help place 6 titanium posts accurately for full-arch restoration.

  • Specialist credentials: Many surgeons hold PhDs from Yonsei University or memberships in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
  • Advanced technology: Clinics like Seoul Today Dental use on-site labs for same-day prosthetic adjustments and crowns.
  • Premium materials: All-on-6 protocols commonly feature globally recognised systems such as Straumann, Osstem SOI, and MegaGen.
  • Accredited facilities: Leading centres often hold JCI or KOIHA accreditation. Their safety standards meet rigorous international benchmarks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While Australian clinics often charge separately for bone grafting, many Korean centres bundle this into the implant price. For patients with severe jawbone loss, specialists at 365 Seoul OneTop even offer zygomatic implants. This can save thousands on preparatory surgeries required before the All-on-6 procedure.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the Republic of Korea dental industry significantly advanced. They often describe the local anaesthesia experience as completely painless. Most feel the high-quality results and managed discomfort make the multiple visits worthwhile. These visits are spread over 5–6 months.
