How Much Does Aortic aneurysm surgery Cost in India in AUD?

Aortic aneurysm surgery in India typically costs from AUD $12,256 to AUD $20,907. The total price depends on the surgical technique, the required stent-graft brand, and the complexity of the aneurysm. Patients save approximately 74% compared to Australian private healthcare prices, which average AUD $62,721. Standard inclusions often cover the surgical team fees, anaesthetic, and initial hospital stay in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, or Gurgaon.

  • Aneurysm coiling: AUD $11,823 to AUD $24,223 for minimally invasive endovascular repair.
  • Open surgical repair: Typically the most affordable surgical option as it avoids high-tech stent costs.
  • Endovascular repair (EVAR): Generally costs 15–20% more than open surgery due to specialised equipment.
  • Thoracic repair (TEVAR): Often carries a 30% premium over abdominal repairs due to procedural complexity.

Bookimed Expert Insight: India offers exceptional value for complex cardiac cases, with many Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited centres. Surgeons like Dr. Ajay Kaul have performed over 15,000 surgical procedures, providing a level of experience rarely found elsewhere. Major facilities like Global Hospital Mumbai even specialise in world-first combined transplants. For Australians, choosing established hubs like Medanta or Fortis Escorts ensures access to advanced imaging and intensive care without the long public waitlists found at home.

I want to thank Dr.Murtada, because he’s the one who arrange it with the hospital. he was with us the whole way asking if we need anything, if everything is OK and I keep asking him a question too but he doesn’t get tired he googled and answer or he calls them straight to figure out the situation. At first me doing it by myself make me tired of emailing all of the hospital in India but after I contact Bookimed he finish everything that it takes me three weeks to due in 2days.The hospital was good to us, they arrange driver named Manpreet Singh that can speak English and take us everywhere we ask am and help us travel popular places, he is the best. I want to thank Karan Kumar for being with us until the end he is the one who take care of everything in the hospital for us and outside of the hospital too.
