Total knee replacement replaces the damaged surfaces of the knee joint with an artificial implant, relieving pain and restoring mobility. It is a long-term solution for advanced knee arthritis when other treatments no longer help. The surgery is performed at Optimed International Hospital by Assoc. Before your arrival
- Please send us all your available medical tests and reports, and a list of the medications you currently use.

Your recovery timeline
- Day 1: Examination, tests and surgery.
- Day 2: You start walking.
- Days 1-7: Your surgeon follows your recovery during your hospital stay.
- Days 5-7: Discharge and transfer to your hotel.
- Days 15-20: Final check-up and stitch removal on the day of your flight or the day before. You receive a fit-to-fly certificate and can fly home.
- After 1 month: Return to daily life.
