The surgeon removes the "lamina"—the back part of the vertebra that covers your spinal canal—and any bone spurs or thickened ligaments that are narrowing the space and pinching the nerves.
Surgery Duration: Approximately 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the number of levels involved.
Technique: This is a standard open or minimally invasive decompression focused on anatomical restoration of the spinal canal.

Contraindications: Patients with severe systemic infections or those whose symptoms are primarily caused by vascular issues rather than nerve compression.
3. Post-Operation Care & RecommendationsHospital Stay: 1 to 3 nights for monitoring and pain management.
Recovery Timeline: Patients are usually encouraged to walk the day after surgery. Most return to light activities within 4 to 6 weeks.
Travel Readiness: We recommend staying in-country for at least 10–14 days to ensure proper wound healing and to receive a "fit-to-fly" clearance.
