How Much Does Inverted nipple surgery Cost in Turkey in AUD?

Inverted nipple surgery in Turkey typically costs from AUD $710 to AUD $2,981. The final price depends on the inversion grade, choice of anaesthetic, and whether it is part of a package. In Australia, this procedure costs AUD $5,536 on average. Patients can save approximately 67% by travelling to Turkey. Standard inclusions often cover surgeon fees, medications, and local transfers.

  • Inversion grade: Complex Grade 3 corrections requiring duct-preserving techniques typically cost more than simple cases.
  • Anaesthetic type: Local anaesthetic is common, but opting for general anaesthesia adds roughly 15–20% extra.
  • Combined procedures: Bundling nipple correction with a breast lift often reduces the total price by 10–15%.
  • Regional hubs: Main surgical centres are located in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmit, and Ankara.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish clinics provide exceptional value through JCI-accredited facilities like Memorial Şişli Hospital. Some packages in Istanbul run approximately A$2,700 and include a hospital stay and transfers. Specialists like Prof. Dr. Furkan Karabekmez even have experience treating patients from Australia. Choosing these all-inclusive bundles often helps bypass the high out-of-pocket costs found in the Australian private system.

Data verified by Bookimed as of June 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 25 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I bitterly regret having had the operation there. I had no choice about the shape of my implants I wanted an operation under the muscle They put the implants above the muscle I'm sad and disappointed I paid €4550 plus the flight and got €5000 for them If I'd had the operation at home in Belgium I would have paid the same price and got what I wanted I regret my choice so much

"What was my surprise when, from the very first minute, I felt such concern and attention that all doubts were dispelled - yes, that’s it!" Return: About the doctor: "When I met Dr
A month has already passed after the operation and I want to share my experience. I found out about the clinic by chance from the Internet, I did not know what to expect in reality. I had terrible prejudices about Turkey, but nevertheless I decided to fly - if I suddenly didn’t like something - I would just return that day. What was my surprise when, from the very first minute, I felt such concern and attention that all doubts were dispelled - yes, that’s it! And when I met Dr. Aytach, I realized that this was MY doctor! I have very thin skin, and after giving birth, she was all in "stretch marks." Ukrainian doctors called my skin parchment paper and did not particularly undertake to operate. Dr. Aytach said that I will have beautiful breasts and he did it to me !! This is just unbelievable !! I’m still unusual with new breasts, to be honest it’s still hard, but when I look at myself in the mirror, I thank the doctor that he just gave me a new one! Now it's up to my body, before complete healing, time will still have to pass, but even now the difference is visible in the photo. What else surprised me? The clinic itself in the first place - it is very modern, and as by our Ukrainian standards - just fantastic. No need to run through laboratories to take tests, wait for doctors. Everything is in place - and a doctor’s examination, and tests, and consultations with an anastasiologist. Super-selected staff, for the entire stay - only positive impressions, attentiveness, friendliness, professionalism. Special thanks to Elena’s personal assistant, it was thanks to her that I decided to have an operation, she answered my endless questions, made recommendations, coordinated my visit. By the way, I must say that their service is really at the highest level. Starting from the airport, transfers, rooms are simply super - spacious, equipped to modern standards, a pleasant hotel, in which I was after the operation. By the way, when I arrived it was late at night, but I was met, placed in the ward so that I could relax, because check-in at the hotel was only from 12 noon. It was very nice. Also on the day of departure, I had a late flight, and another room was allocated for me so that I could stay in the clinic and not wait at the airport. Another such moment. When I flew home after the operation, from time to time I had different questions, and they always answered me, never left me unattended, if something started to disturb me. Look at my example and decide! Girls, it's worth it. P.S. I’m trying to add photos before and after, but only the camera opens ((now I’ll write to the clinic, maybe they can add my photos to the review.

FAQ about Inverted nipple surgery in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What are the health risks and potential complications of inverted nipple surgery in Turkey?

Inverted nipple surgery in Turkey is generally safe when performed by certified surgeons. Key risks include changes in nipple sensation and potential damage to milk ducts. This can affect breastfeeding. There is also a chance of the inversion recurring over time.

  • Sensation changes: Temporary or permanent numbness or hypersensitivity can occur after tissue releases.
  • Breastfeeding impact: Milk duct damage may occur. Duct-sparing techniques are vital for some patients.
  • Recurrence risk: Nipples can invert again if underlying fibrous bands are not fully released.
  • Cosmetic outcomes: Subtle scarring or asymmetry in nipple height and projection are possible.
  • Surgical safety: JCI-accredited hospitals in Istanbul follow international protocols to prevent post-op infections.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkey has one of the world's highest concentrations of EBOPRAS-certified surgeons. Specialists like Dr Burak Pasinlioglu at Trustmed Clinic have performed 5,000+ procedures. This high volume means surgeons use refined duct-sparing techniques.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey say discussing duct-sparing techniques early helps manage breastfeeding expectations. Most find that clear communication about numbness and recurrence rates makes recovery smoother.

Will I be able to breastfeed after undergoing inverted nipple surgery in Turkey?

Breastfeeding after inverted nipple surgery in Turkey depends on the severity of the inversion and the surgical technique used. Grade 1 and 2 corrections usually use duct-preserving methods that allow for lactation. Grade 3 cases may require dividing milk ducts. This typically makes breastfeeding unlikely.

  • Technique selection: Surgeons like Dr Furkan Karabekmez offer consultations to discuss duct-preserving versus dividing approaches.
  • Clinical expertise: JCI-accredited centres like Memorial Şişli Hospital follow international protocols to protect milk ducts.
  • Nerve preservation: Modern techniques focus on maintaining nerve connections and ductal integrity for future function.
  • Specific planning: Experts often suggest delaying surgery until after child-rearing if breastfeeding is a priority.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish specialists often perform nipple correction within broader breast aesthetic procedures. Dr Burak Pasinlioğlu at Trustmed Clinic has performed 5,000+ procedures. This highlights the high volume of breast-related cases in Istanbul. Choosing a surgeon with FEBOPRAS certification ensures they are trained in the specific microsurgical techniques required to spare milk ducts.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasise asking for a written explanation of the surgical method before booking. While Turkey offers modern techniques, the collective advice is to confirm a duct-sparing approach if patients plan to nurse later.

How do I identify a qualified and safe clinic in Turkey for inverted nipple surgery?

Identifying a safe clinic in Turkey requires verifying Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. You should also confirm surgeons hold FEBOPRAS (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) credentials. Qualified centres in Istanbul and Ankara provide detailed surgical plans. These plans prioritise preserving breastfeeding function and nipple blood supply.

  • JCI accreditation: Memorial Şişli and Lokman Hekim hospitals maintain these international safety and hygiene standards.
  • Board certification: Surgeons like Dr Burak Pasinlioglu at Trustmed Clinic hold FEBOPRAS and national memberships.
  • Clinical experience: Select providers like Dr Can Zeliha Gul who have performed 4,600+ surgical procedures.
  • Specialist training: Prioritise doctors with specific breast reconstruction fellowships, such as those completed at Brussels hospitals.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows that reliable clinics, such as Memorial Bahçelievler, serve patients from over 160 countries. Large multi-specialty hospitals often provide better safety nets than smaller boutique clinics. This is because they have 24/7 intensive care units and many on-site medical departments.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey suggest asking surgeons how their technique protects milk ducts before booking. They also recommend selecting clinics that offer structured telehealth follow-up for support after returning home to Australia.

What is the typical recovery period following inverted nipple surgery in Turkey?

Patients typically recover from inverted nipple surgery in Turkey within 7 to 10 days. Most return to desk-based work after 1 week. Full healing and final results usually settle between 3 and 12 weeks. International patients should stay in Turkey for 7 to 10 days for follow-up.

  • Initial phase: Mild discomfort or stinging usually subsides within 2 to 5 days.
  • Dressings and stitches: Light tapes are removed after 1 week. Surgeons typically use absorbable stitches.
  • Activity limits: Avoid heavy lifting over 4.5kg or strenuous chest exercises for 3 to 6 weeks.
  • Swelling and bruising: Most bruising fades within 10 days. Minor swelling may persist for 6 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish specialists like Dr Furkan Erol Karabekmez provide dedicated postoperative follow-up for Australians. This is vital because managing dressings is often more bothersome than the pain itself. Choosing a surgeon with international experience helps your recovery milestones align with your flight home.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find the first few days the most uncomfortable due to tightness. They suggest protecting the area from accidental trauma while following dressing instructions carefully during their stay in Turkey.
