The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come
The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come. Seeing that was a huge relief. The surgeon and staff provided great support, making me feel secure from the start. Recovery is no joke. It was a positive step when the catheter was removed, but managing the dilation sessions has been very challenging. My biggest concern is the swelling, and I'm focused on trusting the process. The care and the surgical foundation are solid, which is why I'm rating everything positively.
Everything was perfect. The staff were kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the whole process. The doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the excellent care I received.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish
My biggest worry was whether I'd see a real difference after having Vaser on multiple areas, especially since they removed over four liters. It’s still early, but the swelling is much less now, and I can definitely see subtle changes taking shape. The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish. They are a solid team. The main challenge for me is just the compression garment making my skin itchy, but that's part of recovery. While the clinic facilities were generally fine, they weren't on the same level as the medical care itself. It's a process. Overall, I feel this was a worthwhile decision.
Almost 2 weeks post-lipo with Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic. The bruising is fading and my clothes are fitting so much better already. My abdomen feels tighter, waist more defined, and inner thighs no longer rubbing as much when I walk. So happy I took this step for myself.

I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for
My biggest concern going into this was ending up with a shape that looked strange or unnatural. It's a big decision. I'm still very early in my recovery, but I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for. The surgeon and I decided on Motiva implants. The clinic staff and my surgeon were consistently professional and clear in their communication. The most difficult part for me right now is the significant implant tightness across my chest; it's a persistent discomfort you should be prepared for. It's a process. But the surgical work and care were very good.
I had my surgery at this clinic and I’m honestly very happy with the whole experience. From the first consultation to aftercare, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. The team was incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. A special thank you to the nurse for being so caring, kind, and attentive — it really made a big difference during my recovery. The results have exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciate the effort and care from the entire team. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering surgery.

My biggest worry going into this was the quality of post-operative care, and that's where things fell short. While the surgeon's work was professional, the support from the clinic staff felt disorganized and was a source of stress during a vulnerable time. The clinic itself could also be improved. It’s a very mixed feeling. I can’t judge the aesthetic outcome yet because everything is still far too swollen to see clearly. On a positive note, getting the catheter removed was a definite relief and a good milestone. The medical part was handled, but the care aspect was lacking.
Language was a problem. Food was horrible, no attempt to take into account cultural differences. Had to wait over an hour for scheduled appointments. Minimal care by all. I would not recommend Wansiri Hospital to any of my friends. Staff would not reach out to my wife, when requested, to resolve problems.

FAQ about Mommy makeover in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is it safe to get a mommy makeover in Thailand?

Mommy makeovers in Thailand are safe when performed by board-certified plastic surgeons in JCI-accredited hospitals. Facilities like Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Yanhee International Hospital maintain international safety standards and automated infection controls. They also use specialised anaesthetic teams. Australian patients benefit from rigorous medical regulations and surgeons with extensive international training.

  • Clinic accreditation: Leading centres hold Joint Commission International (JCI) or ISO certifications for safety.
  • Surgeon expertise: Specialists like Dr Tanongsak Panyawirunroj have performed over 15,000 successful procedures.
  • Technology: Wansiri Hospital uses Clean Room operating theatres with HEPA air filtration.
  • Safety protocols: Procedures at top clinics involve supervision by both anaesthetists and cardiologists.

Bookimed Expert Insight: High-volume centres like ID Clinic Bangkok serve 4,000+ patients annually with 95% success rates. Their experience with Australian travellers means logistics are seamless. However, safety depends on your hospital choice. Opting for a hospital over a smaller clinic ensures 24-hour monitoring and emergency support.

Patient Consensus: Travellers from Australia found the support highly professional with quick communication and pre-planned transport. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. This makes the recovery process in Thailand much easier to manage.

How long should I wait after childbirth to get a mommy makeover in Thailand?

Most surgeons in Thailand recommend waiting 6 to 12 months after childbirth before getting a mommy makeover. This timeline helps with weight stability. It also allows breast tissue to settle after breastfeeding. Doctors at facilities with JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation require these milestones for long-lasting surgical results.

  • Breastfeeding completion: Wait 6 months after weaning so breast size and shape fully stabilise.
  • Weight stability: Maintain a steady target weight for 6 months for lasting body contouring.
  • Physical recovery: Allow complete healing from childbirth or C-section incisions to reduce infection risk.
  • Family planning: Complete your family first, as future pregnancies can reverse surgical improvements.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like ID Clinic Bangkok and Asia Cosmetic Hospital often manage very high volumes. Some surgesons there perform 15,000+ to 20,000+ operations. This massive experience means they often see more complex post-baby cases than typical Australian specialists. This leads to refined techniques for combining tummy tucks and breast lifts.

Patient Consensus: Patients travelling to Thailand highlight the importance of waiting until breastfeeding finishes and weight settles. They find that allowing the body to fully recover first makes the post-op period easier to manage.

How long do I need to stay in Thailand for a mommy makeover recovery?

Plan for a stay of 10 to 14 days in Thailand for a mommy makeover. Most surgeons require two weeks to monitor healing and remove drains. They must clear patients for long-haul flights back to Australia. This timeframe helps prevent complications during travel.

  • Hospital stay: Patients usually spend 1–2 nights in hospital for monitoring after surgery.
  • Drain removal: Surgeons typically remove drains between day 5 and day 10 post-operatively.
  • Clinical checks: Follow-up visits at clinics like ID Clinic Bangkok check that incisions are healing well.
  • Travel clearance: Doctors provide official clearance to fly after assessing mobility and swelling levels.

Bookimed Expert Insight: A fortnight is standard. However, patients at clinics like Wansiri Hospital benefit from infection-controlled environments. Recovering in a VIP suite for the first 48 hours is vital. Bookimed data shows that 3 weeks is safer if a tummy tuck is included.

Patient Consensus: Australians found that prompt communication and pre-arranged transfers made recovery much easier. They suggest arranging help for meals and dressing during the first few days.

What procedures are included in a mommy makeover package in Thailand?

Mommy makeover packages in Thailand typically combine abdominoplasty with breast surgery, like a lift or augmentation. These customised bundles frequently include VASER liposuction, surgical fees, anaesthesia, and hospital stays. Major Bangkok centres provide English-speaking coordinators and private transfers for Australian patients.

  • Core surgeries: Combines a tummy tuck with breast augmentation or a mastopexy lift.
  • Body contouring: Includes VASER liposuction of the waist and flanks to refine results.
  • Hospital stay: Covers 1–6 nights in clinical suites for initial post-operative monitoring.
  • Ancillary costs: Includes anaesthetist fees, surgical garments, medications, and all follow-up consultations.
  • Patient logistics: Major packages bundle airport pickups, hotel transfers, and dedicated English interpreters.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows high-volume centres like Yanhee International Hospital or ID Clinic Bangkok often include specialised extras. Some Bangkok surgeons now integrate regenerative stem cell therapy into tummy tucks to improve healing. Choosing a JCI-accredited facility offers the same safety standards found in private Australian hospitals.

Patient Consensus: Patients from Australia appreciate the seamless coordination of airport pickups and pre-booked accommodation. The friendly staff and well-planned logistics make the surgical experience in Thailand feel highly professional.

What is the difference between a breast lift and breast augmentation for a mommy makeover in Thailand?

The main difference depends on whether the concern is sagging or volume loss. A breast lift (mastopexy) removes excess skin to reposition drooping breasts. Breast augmentation uses implants to restore fullness. Most Thai mommy makeovers combine both for a firm and voluminous result.

  • Functional target: A breast lift fixes ptosis (sagging) by tightening tissue and raising the nipple.
  • Volume restoration: Breast augmentation adds size using implants or fat transfer to fill deflated areas.
  • Combined approach: Surgeons often perform augmentation-mastopexy to address sagging skin and lost upper-pole fullness.
  • Scarring profile: Mastopexy involves removing skin, typically resulting in more visible incisions than augmentation alone.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from Bangkok centres like ID Clinic and Yanhee Hospital shows that surgeons often use specialised technology to improve results. Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul has performed over 20,000 procedures. He frequently pairs traditional lifts with stem cell-assisted fat grafting or tummy tucks for smoother contouring. Choosing a surgeon with 2,000+ operations helps to balance implant weight against lifted skin to prevent future sagging.

Patient Consensus: Visitors from Australia appreciate the clear planning and quick replies during their Thailand trip. Many find that combining procedures fixes both the droop and the empty feeling after breastfeeding.
