Service was so good I would consider going back for a holiday, all the staff were extremely helpful
I had an epidural & also had pubs in my back, cause I g acutely pain, the hospital were initially reluctant to give me strong pain killers , but that was sorted,, service was so good I would consider going back for a holiday, all the staff were extremely helpful . I'm an old man, & all the staff were extremely helpful, & had a sense of humour, medicine was delivered to the hotel if I didn't want to pick it up,, great experience
Can't say there was anything I didn't like, maybe the after care & what to expect could have been spelled out better, but really nothing to dislike

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

There is very weak communication gap between the Doctor and no explanation of the procedure. The clinic should in detail the procedures they will be performing. It would be better if possible to show a before and after video presented to the patient so that the patient can easily see what is going on.
I didn't like the neck lift done. I am concerned. One thing the neck lift was supposed to be minor bur for some reason my ears are also effected. I have two big lumps on either side of my ears and I have extra skin where I didn't have before..

FAQ about Penile implant surgery in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is penile implant surgery in Thailand considered safe?

Penile implant surgery in Thailand is safe and follows global medical standards. Leading Bangkok hospitals maintain JCI accreditation and ISO certification for strict infection control. Specialists use high-quality devices like Tactra malleable prostheses. They achieve reported success rates over 90% and low complication rates.

  • Specialist credentials: Surgeons often hold diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons Thailand and international fellowships.
  • Clinical volume: Major centres like Yanhee International Hospital treat 450,000+ patients annually from 120+ countries.
  • Specialised technology: Dedicated clinics offer both inflatable and rigid options along with shockwave therapy.
  • Patient support: Comprehensive packages include 24-hour nurse services, post-operative care, and English-speaking interpreters.
  • Sterile protocols: High-volume hospitals use rigorous antibiotic protocols to keep infection risks between 1% and 3%.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics offer penile enhancement. However, safety for actual implants relies on choosing dedicated urology centres. Data shows that clinics like Menness Wellness Clinic treat 1,000+ patients annually. These specialists focus specifically on men's health. This high volume often leads to better surgical outcomes than general plastic surgery clinics.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate the helpful staff. They also like that staff organise medication delivery directly to hotels. The experience feels professional and well-supported. Many patients note that staff maintain a reassuring sense of humour throughout the process.

What are the permanent risks and limitations of undergoing penile implant surgery in Thailand?

Penile implant surgery in Thailand carries permanent risks including infection, mechanical failure, and length loss of 1–2 cm. The procedure is irreversible because it destroys natural erectile tissue. This makes treatments like pills or vacuum pumps permanently ineffective once the device is implanted.

  • Infection risk: Rare cases (1%–5%) usually require total removal of the prosthetic device.
  • Mechanical failure: Devices may leak or fail, requiring surgical revision after 10–15 years.
  • Tissue irreversibility: Implantation permanently alters internal tissue. This makes natural erections no longer possible.
  • Sensation changes: Some patients experience permanent changes in sensitivity or chronic pelvic discomfort.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Menness Wellness specifically list Australia as a primary patient source. Surgeons are familiar with Australian health expectations and follow-up standards. Choosing clinics with JCI or Royal College of Surgeons Thailand accreditation helps manage these risks.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand found staff extremely helpful and appreciated hotel delivery of medications. The service is often described as professional and inclusive of post-operative care.

What happens during a consultation for a penile implant in Thailand?

Consultations for a penile implant in Thailand include a physical examination and a medical history review. Specialists at Bangkok clinics evaluate suitability for inflatable or malleable prostheses. They also perform pre-operative blood and hormone tests for surgical safety.

  • Remote assessment: Many clinics offer video consultations for Australians to review suitability before travel.
  • Device selection: Patients choose between inflatable components or malleable options like the Tactra prosthesis.
  • Pre-op screening: Comprehensive tests include bloodwork, hormone profiling, and EKG to prepare for surgery.
  • Surgical planning: Urologists explain incision techniques. Some packages also include additional therapies like PRP.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics often host remote video consultations specifically for international patients. Clinics like Menness Wellness Clinic and Asia Cosmetic Hospital include these in their A$5,300 to A$16,600 packages. This allows surgeons to review records before patients leave Australia. It helps confirm they are ideal candidates before booking flights.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand appreciate the helpful staff and the convenience of hotel medication delivery. The inclusive clinic transfers and bilingual support make the process feel like a stress-free holiday.

What types of penile implants are available for patients travelling to Thailand?

Patients travelling to Thailand can access inflatable and malleable penile implants. These treat erectile dysfunction with high success rates. Reputable clinics in Bangkok provide three-piece inflatable systems and semi-rigid rods. They use international brands like Tactra, often saving Australians 80% compared to local costs.

  • Inflatable systems: Three-piece pumps offer the most natural feel and discreet concealment.
  • Malleable implants: Semi-rigid rods like Tactra are mechanically reliable and easier to position.
  • Specialist urologists: Experts at Eternity Clinic Pleonchit and Menness Wellness Clinic specialise in male sexual health.
  • Hospital infrastructure: JCI-accredited facilities like Yanhee International Hospital serve thousands of international patients annually.

Bookimed Expert Insight: The hospital stay is a key differentiator when choosing a device. Menness Wellness Clinic and Eternity Clinic include a 1-day hospital stay in their packages. Other centres provide the procedure as a day surgery. Choosing a clinic with 24-hour nurse services allows for better monitoring before moving to a hotel.

Patient Consensus: Men visiting Thailand appreciate options like simple malleable rods or discreet inflatable pumps. They found the staff helpful. Many also noted that medications were often delivered directly to their hotels.

Why is Thailand considered a destination for penile implant surgery?

Thailand attracts patients for penile implant surgery due to high surgical volumes and international accreditations. Specialist clinics in Bangkok offer inflatable and malleable devices from global brands like Tactra. These clinics often have shorter wait times than Australian private hospitals.

  • Expert specialists: Surgeons like Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul have performed over 20,000 procedures.
  • Accredited facilities: Many centres hold Royal College of Surgeons Thailand approval and JCI certification.
  • Prosthetic variety: Providers offer both malleable Tactra implants and multi-component inflatable systems.
  • Integrated care: Packages frequently include VIP rooms, nursing, post-op medications, and follow-up reviews.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics handle high international volumes. Menness Wellness Clinic serves 1,000+ global patients annually. This massive experience often leads to refined techniques and lower complication rates compared to lower-volume centres.

Patient Consensus: Patients value Thailand for easy scheduling and private care that prioritises discretion. Many find the experience seamless, with helpful staff frequently arranging medicine delivery directly to hotels.
