The doctor received a scholarship from the Turkish Surgery Association to work at Mayo Clinic in the Hepatopancreatobiliary and Obesity-Metabolic Surgery Clinics.
Upon returning to Turkey, the doctor co-founded the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery unit at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital and later established the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital.
