Dr. Idris Sertbas is a skilled neurosurgeon with experience in both adult and pediatric brain and spine surgeries. He performs complex procedures such as brain and cerebellum tumor surgeries. He also treats children with conditions like hydrocephalus, tethered cord, and craniosynostosis. Dr. Sertbas is experienced in advanced spine surgeries, including stabilization for disc herniation, vertebroplasty, and kyphosis surgery.

He is trained in neuromodulation surgeries, such as deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy stimulation, and spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain. He also performs procedures for trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and baclofen pump implantation for severe spasticity.

Dr. Sertbas graduated from Sivas Cumhuriyet University and completed his neurosurgery training at Ankara Training and Research Hospital. He has worked at Bartın State Hospital and Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University. He now practices at the Neurosurgery Clinic of Liv Vadistanbul Hospital.

The doctor graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from Mysore University in 1996, followed by a Doctor of Medicine in radiotherapy from Banaras Hindu University in 2002. Further enhancing expertise, the doctor earned a Diplomate of National Board in radiotherapy in 2004.

The doctor is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Association of Radiation Oncology of India, the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the Bangalore Oncology Group, and the Indian Association of Hyperthermia Oncology, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing the field of oncology.

The doctor graduated from Uludağ University Medical College with a Diploma of Medicine in 1983 and completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at the Center of Oncology & Nuclear Medicine in Istanbul in 1990. A post-doctoral fellowship in Thermoradiotherapy was completed at Thomas Jefferson University from 1990 to 1994. The doctor served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Uludağ University Medical College from 1994 to 2005 and was the Faculty Accreditation Coordinator from 2001 to 2004.

From 2004 to 2017, the doctor was a Professor and Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Anadolu Medical Center, also serving as Coordinator of Oncological Sciences from 2011 to 2017. Currently, the doctor is the Director of Oncological Sciences at Medicana Bursa Hospital, a position held since 2018.

The doctor received Surgical Oncology training at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and completed MRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Starting practice in 2000, the doctor founded Curie Manavata Cancer Centre in 2007. With 19 years of experience, the doctor has performed over 50,000 cancer surgeries and participated in more than 200 clinical trials. The doctor is a published author with numerous international and national publications. Specializing in Breast and Thoracic Surgical Oncology, the doctor is a professor for DNB Superspecialty Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery at MUHS.

During the Senior Residency, the doctor lectured at the International Winter School of Oncology at AIIMS and presented research on Stomach Cancer at the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Following this, the doctor worked as an Assistant Professor at the State Cancer Institute and Government Cancer Hospital, Aurangabad.
